The human staff has gone tragically missing, but all new ventures are bound for a few hiccups. The treatment keepers have taken to pulling in any idle horsemen found at the spa or even in the Dusk to come spend a shift helping feed and care for the spa's special swarms of cultivated insects and unusual plant life.
Roll 2d6 and complete the 2 prompts You're set to supervise a tank full of leeches. It's an incredibly boring job until the leeches begin to grow. And grow. And grow until they're the size of a fat man's leg. The tank breaks. They're surprisingly fast and wily for leeches and it's up to you to catch and corral them all. Roll 1d10 until you succeed by getting a 6 or higher. The Moth Room needs cleaning and it's not a very glorious or interesting job until you start to hallucinate and the walls begin to melt. The Music Room allows you to enjoy a peaceful shift feeding its inhabitants as they are trained in their next composition. The tapeworms need to be taken for discreet walkies. This process involves placing leashes and collars on tapeworms and then walking them around, whispering encouragements to help motivate them to be their best wormselves. Roll 1d10 until you succeed three times by getting a 3 or higher. The Nagev Garden is full of helpful plants that wont just melt away fat but also clean the bones underneath as well with an enthusiastic efficiency! Feeding them is a pleasure if you life watching meat get torn apart and some of the plants will even let you pet them after. Roll 1d4 to determine how many fingers you lose during this shift. (Don't worry, they'll grow back by tomorrow.) The maggot farm has gone missing and the spa needs your help in finding out where it's gone off to. Was it stolen? Did their Fear Makeup get altered in an experiment, transforming them into something new? Did something eat the whole thing? You don't have to roll for success, you just have to tell a story to the shift supervisor.

Truthfully, if it hadn't been for that last half of her shift, Liya would have returned to the Treatment Center a lot sooner for another job. The music room had been an incredible place to be in and she hoped she'd get stationed there again. Who knows, maybe she would actually go to the spa as a client? Stranger things have happened.
Such as now, upon seeing a cantankerous Horseman who was clearly here because he got his a** dragged in. "Darkjaaaaay~" the much shorter horseman greeted.

Liya was correct in her assessment. Darkjay looked as if he wanted to be anywhere else and was ready to murder anything within a 50 foot radius if he so much had to look at a maggot. He wasn't gonna murder the tinnier war horsewoman though. He was gonna be nice. If glaring at her when she greeted him could be considered nice in any universe.
" Why the ******** do I have to touch bugs again." He growled, before continuing to complain. "Why am I even her. Stupid ******** recruiters making me do stupid ******** things..."

"Pfft, you never flinch even when you're elbow deep in something's guts but skittering buggies get to you?" Liya grinned, amused by this and ignoring her own hypocrisy. Admittedly not all bugs made her squeamish as some were useful enough that she could and would tolerate them. But a vast majority made her want to find way to bribe Famine Horsemen to keep their bugs to themselves.
"We'll get through this faster with the two of us. And if they get to you too much, you can stand on my shoulders to get away from them," she winked. "C'mon, let's get this done so we can get back to doing fun stuff!"
"Have you seen what famine bugs do to you?" Darkjay asked. He could already picture the more gruesome things. "Doesn't matter if it's a human or a horseman they don't like. You don't even know you''re infected until you have insects crawling out of every inch of you." He shuddered. "******** disgusting things. They're always making new bugs to creep me out."
He then eye rolled. "Oh yeah, I'm sure you can protect me. Please keep me safe." Such sarcasm. "I'll admit you're right for once, we can get this done twice as fast."
Of course when the keepers told them about the missing maggot farms, they were quick to hold their hands to try placate the war horseman whom had brought out his short sword.
"I AM NOT. TOUCHING. MAGGOTS." He was screaming.

Even Liya had to resist summoning her weapons when she learned what they were expected to do for the day. "Lemme get this straight." She said through a grin that was more grit teeth, "We were supposed to be just watching over the maggot farm. And now it's gone?"
Liya gave Darkjay an apologetic you were right, I was wrong, look but then quickly followed that up with a manic grin that said I got a plan, but if you got a better one I'll listen.
Darkjay didn't have any plans, besides go on a happy go lucky slash fest. So he was more inclined to go along with whatever scheme Liya had, judging by the crazy grin she bore that signaled she had some mad ideas. He gave her a brief nod, then went back to glaring daggers.
"How are we supposed to do this ******** job if you can't even do yours" He remarked." He didn't know what she had in mind but it wouldn't stop him from throwing insults. At least for now.

Liya was about to tell her fellow War Horseman her brilliant plan when from behind them came a snooty "Hwhat's this I hear about not doing johoooobs?"
Slowly, Liya turned around and found towering over was the stick thin, imperious-looking shift supervisor. The smile from earlier froze on her face, along with the crazy eyes, but she bounced back. "Oh! Well, you see, there was this, this human! Yes, they were acting strange, stranger than regular human strangeness. Right, Darkjay?"
Lie through your ******** teeth with me or I will carve your teeth out with my talons, was the unspoken command.
While his fellow clansmen had quietened down, Darkjay didn't looked phased by this lanky looking famine horseman, but he did catch the look from Liya that spoke if he didn't back her up he would be in for it. Sigh. He would play along.
"Yeah, It was, um, groaning and stuff, and holding it's stomach, and it had been near the maggot pen, I think. But yeah ti was groaning really loud and stumbling around everywhere." He could see where this was going. More silent sighing and cringing.

"Yes! We figured since this was, like, a spa and all, y'know, a place to be relaxed and pampered, we went to see if they were okay." Liya was glad that Darkjay wasn't questioning her orders or being a pain for the sake of it. Outside of missions she was perfectly fine with the insults and the mockery, they were all allowed to foster conflict and nurture war in their own way. Liya had long accepted the blonde for his abrasive nature and just tried to ensure he was alright.
But it was in trying times that War would come through for each other. Because the alternative was mutual destruction and Liya really did not want it to come at the hands of Famine.
"But when we got close, it was obvious that they weren't. There was, like, this really sticky, yellowy-whitish substance all over their hands and their mouth. Right?"
