Though not a glamorous job it is an important one at HQ, with the heavy forklift operators dealing with more than simply pallets of product. In the headquarters they also handle blocks of raw ore and steel, ferrying these to the metalworkers in the research shops behind the warehouse itself. Some horsemen prefer this line of work as it does include quite a bit of manual labour and climbing through the warm and lofty rafters in a reminiscent echo of the jungle.
[ MECHANICS ]
Roll 1d6 twice, each roll is half the day.
You spend a morning trying to figure out how the forklift even works, if you've driven it before you are on a model you've never even seen before.
You drive into a huge stack of boxes and are relieved to see that they at least were empty, you spend the day trying to tidy them up.
Things are very busy in the warehouse, you are rushed off your feet driving back and forth ferrying deliveries and before you know it is over.
Things are quiet for a change and you get a chance to sneak to the rest room to chat to your coworkers.
A secret delivery comes in a back door and is taken away by a group of Death horsemen in the direction of the warehouse workshops, you are thanked for your assistance.
You get into an awkward conversation with co-workers and slink off back to your forklift to try and forget the discussion.

Arriving back into the building for a third time, Elaia took a little bit more caution than she was used to on a daily basis. There was the desire to not be caught by those technology horsemen again, dragged against her intentions and taken to a job that she didn't really want in the first place (but was oddly pretty decent at).
It had been all clear, allowing her finally back onto the warehouse floor and before the machine that she had so desperately wanted to drive. It was a beautiful thing, much more than she could have even hoped for with so many knobs and buttons and levers. So much more than the cars (she had crashed)
ever had. And like those cars, she really had no idea how to operate it.
But she was here and it was here and it was amazing. Elaia was so content to just sit in it and wait for work.
The first half of the day, however, was sadly very slow with the delivery that she was meant to work on delayed. The clanswoman slumped in her seat,
dejected and somewhat defeated from the task. Reluctantly she climbed out of the vehicle and meandered to the rest room to see what the other workers were doing. Apparently that was where they wanted to hang out.
And talk. And gossip from the sounds of it. Not a lot of what she wanted to hear or speak about, since she rarely paid attention to such things to spread around (even though it actually did seem like fun).
The spotted her in an instant, obviously so with how young she appeared and immediately launched into a questions and inquiries. It took some time to realize they too were of the clans, but of Conquest which didn't seem like a terrible thing but at least allowed her to not have to hold back on what she conversed about.
She told them all about how she awesomely defended an embassy that was on an island that was not aptly named.

Rest room party over with as well as a delightful lunch break with the same group of females later. Elaia was finally back on the floor and ready to get to work.
During her extended break, as it were, the delivery had finally made it. Carefully it had been unloaded and given the time it had taken for those set of workers to unload making it perfect timing for her to do as she needed. Of course that also meant figuring out how to even operate the fork lift. There was only so much the instruction manual could offer her in the short amount of time that she needed to get it done; now.
Randomly her hands went to shifting gears and pressing buttons that might seem like they were what she needed to use. The thing jerked forward in one go and lifted far too high the second. The third launched it forward much too aggressively, hitting the pile of boxes that she was supposed to transport elsewhere. There was a bunch of yelling, her own back in retort as she jumped out to see what had happened.
"The boxes are empty!" She huffed at the foreman. But that didn't mean that she could just leave it like that. She had to spend the rest of the day cleaning up the mess she made and by the end of it she still didn't get to drive the thing properly.
