Walking to the tech Stable, Tessa moved over to the main desk to take orders, already familiar with the job that she had to do -- she just had to fix things, so it wasn't that different from other jobs, was it?
A customer came in with hardware that was nothing more than a complete mess -- the screen was cracked in such a way that made it look like a hoof had almost gone through it, and it wasn't booting up correctly at all.
It was almost a red screen of death, but not quite.
Tessa sighed and rubbed her forehead as she sent them to the shop floor for her colleague to help, knowing that the repairs were far beyond her expertise.
It was a lost commission, but it simply couldn't be helped.
The second customer after that had completely bricked their device, apparently tinkering around with options and the inner workings of the design when they probably fully knew that they weren't supposed to.
The second was by far an easier fix -- all Tessa had to do was reinstall the spyware from the company and get them back on the collective data grid, take the exuberant amount due for payment, and send them on their way.
Tessa thought the job would have been much harder, considering that she hadn't done this particular job before, but after going through the motions, she found that this was one particular duty that she wouldn't mind repeating. Possibly tomorrow.
Or the day after.
There were so many possibilities, after all.
