"Ta-da!" He said with open arms as they stepped into the Conservatory. A few pensive sages looked up rather annoyed to have volume in such a tranquil place. Picking up on this, Vin turned to whisper at Rep. "Ta-dahhhh. This is the Conservatory. Isn't it very nice. We like coming here to watch clansmen swim. I am still learning now, but not good. Too many holes. Drop just like a stone, but here. Here." He moved to a shallow patch of the lake. "This is good."
Without hesitating, he moved to walk into the water, the clear blue oasis rising up his boney legs as he walked through the reeds and the tattered ends of his robes started to get wet and soak up water as he moved. "War needs much bigger floor too so they may have a place like this. Everyone should have a Conservatory. So many places to just lay back and think with each other. Away from..." He gestured vaguely at the offices, the specimen bay, and the labs. From the work.
"We like work, but gathering is much nicer together. Shame there isn't just a bigger floor just for all of us. One big Conservatory for everyone. Then we could all gather like this and talk and relax. Maybe if we had everyone, talking about what happened would be easier. We could find all the information." He sat in the water a moment and smiled up at Rep.
"But this - this WE like . Even if we find nothing. We got to show you all around Famine and you showed me all around War. That makes for a million forgotten days." His hands moved through the water as he sat. "We hope day like today will not be forgotten tomorrow. Even if we forgot, we think we would still feel sad."
The water was cool and crisp, and for now, it was a peaceful place to gather his thoughts and show Rep a few of the shallows and river weeds and to cool themselves - not that he needed it but the water felt good against and through him. It was after some time hanging with Rep that they moved again.

Rep wasn’t good at indoor voices but he kept it down as much as possible in the conservatory, honestly Rep loved water, absolutely adoring a swim any day of the year. There weren’t many places to actually go for a swim up on the War floor so he’d been down here a few times in the past.
“Well, if you ever need someone to help you out in learning to swim or getting better at it, just ask and I’ll come over. I love it, it’s one of my favourite things.” He wasn’t much for the relaxation part of it, finding it more relaxing to fight than to sit and think on the banks of a body of water. “I’ve snuck down here a few times, sometimes you can go for a swim at night and no one even know you are there.”
He nodded. “I agree though man, I’d love to have a place for all of us to hang out without having to sneak down to the other floors. I think it’s just like, people still have a lot of old problems with each other, mostly the elders. They are stuck in their old ways and too rigid, but one day they won’t be the only ones making the decisions.”
Rep took off the pelt around his waist and tossed it across his shoulders, completely unconcerned about nudity as he waded out in the water. “It’s nice and cold.” He said exhaling in satisfaction.
When it was time to go he didn’t want to leave, loving a bit of a swim, but reluctantly got out and headed onwards.
