Cor decided to check on his conquest friends and ensure they too were in one piece. This is why he approached Jian at this time. They hadn't spoken in some time, but there was certainly nothing like an event to bring everyone closer together.
He came bearing a small gift, as such felt customary, a shiny brand new human penny. He hoped Jian would appreciate it as much as he had.

There was a moment between tasks, a moment of quiet which Jian was using to catch his breath. He had returned for the time being to the canopy, and was leaning on a railing and looking thoughtfully off into the trees, apparently unconcerned about the wide open space below and the height at which he stood. He was used to this.
Footsteps sounded on the wood of the walkway behind him, and he turned his head to see who it was. "Corvarius," he greeted the other male, nodding his head. He knew the younger War horseman; they were not close friends, but more than acquaintances. "How are you?"

Cor smiled, of course there was no sneaking up on Jian. "I am fine Jian, but more importantly - how are you? Your family?" He was genuinely concerned, anything could have happened in the gap of forgotten nothingness. Anyone could be still lost or confused or - missing. What if someone was and he just didn't remember them to check on them?... What if - nope. He frowned a little to himself, trying to let the concerns drift away so he could clearly hear the few answers there were.

"We are well. Mask seemed a little disoriented after the incident, but is recovering all right. We will still keep an eye out," Jian said, "but I'm not too worried. How is your family?" he asked in return.

"They are also well. Diddy is growing every day." He looked contented despite the unsettling feels about his Dio growing up. Fairly soon, she is going to want to date... and then mate... and NOPE Nope nope.
"I brought you this, one of the human customers dropped it. The prettiest coin I have seen in a while." He finally offered the brand new penny to Jian.

"They grow so fast," Jian commented fondly, thinking of the trio. He quirked a smile. "I imagine one is less noisy than three, though."
He accepted the penny, holding it up so that the light glinted off the edge and turning it in his fingers to examine it. "It is very pretty," he agreed, and tucked it away into a pocket in his sleeve. "Perhaps I can take inspiration from it for a piece. Its color is very appealing. Thank you."

"And less to feed as well. But there is only the two of us and neither of us are highly ranked - so it is the perfect number for our family." He tried to save some face. When really, he felt sometimes fleetingly envious of their fertility. Plus, not one but TWO warlings. He wanted a warling so badly, he sometimes felt slightly outnumbered by the famine, not that that was particularly a bad thing. Just a... thing.
"You're welcome, I am glad you like it. Hopefully it brings good fortune as the humans claim it is lucky." Oh how did that human-saying go?
"Find a penny, pick it up - something something - brings good luck!"

Jian laughed. "Where did you hear that? I like it. I have had plenty of good fortune, but I don't mind a bit more."
