"You can't just go around picking up stragglers," Durama sounded exasperated as they passed yet another wayward rogue. Fortunately for the rabbit, this particular individual was old enough to tend to their own needs and as such, they didn't need to be cared for. Even better? Well the rogue seemed to have a vague inkling of where they needed to go, so they had politely declined Gus's offer of aid. Durama had eventually come to the conclusion that Gus's helpfulness was in large part due to where he came from, the guy just didn't seem to be able to leave things alone... And Durama hadn't done them any favours by inadvertently getting the ball rolling.

After all, it had been Durama who had said that Murmur could tag along. That said, the cub was actually quite sweet and she seemed perfectly happy to rest on Gus's back as they continued. She hadn't made the slightest of noises and had simply inspected the world around her. Admittedly she might have been looking for signs of her guardians (a wise choice), but so far she didn't seem to have found anything or anyone of note.

"And you can't just ignore others when they need help too," Gus threw back and shook his head. "What kind of an impression would that leave on the outside world if they discovered that some of your kind were uncaring?" he asked curiously.

"I'm not uncaring, I'm just busy," Durama waved his paw dismissively. "In fact we all our, we've been busy for months trying to work on the things that were tossed our way by that weirdo Stormborn."

"Who...?" Gus asked curiously, it was yet another pride he had obviously not heard of yet.

"Eh, rowdy bunch of lions that come from another part of the coast. Talk a good game and some of them actually punch pretty high above their weight too, but they're on a mission and somehow they persuaded our alchemists to help," he shrugged and puttered on without further explanation. Gus made a mental note to pursue that line of enquiry further; by the sounds of it, this pride seemed to have a solid understanding of a fair few medical issues. If others were entrusting them with this research then that must mean they had a decent success rate, right?

Ah, but if only he knew the full story...

"They sound like they'd be great at parties," Gus mused.

"They are," Durama confirmed with a simple shrug. It was then that Gus came to a halt again and the hair on the rabbit's neck began to raise. Uh oh, he knew what was coming, the lion had seen yet another wandering soul and his overzealous, knightly tendencies were about to kick in. Durama could only hope that the individual in question was old enough to look after themselves and they could be on their way again in a moment or two. "We really don't have time to stop every time you meet someone new, can't you do this on the way back?"

"Logically speaking, they may not even be there when I head home," Gus pointed out and then shook his head. "But this one is actually coming towards us, not the other way round," he pointed out and promptly motioned towards the approaching teen. His mane was in the process of growing in, but it was clear he was still young. There was an independent air about him, so Gus could only assume that he'd struck out early for some reason or another. "Afternoon," he offered at last as the lion finally came in to earshot.

...The acknowledgement was enough to make Purah pause.

He'd been chased off more than once by various rogues when he had been asking for directions, he had half expected the same level of hostility. However, it seemed that luck was finally on his side and he had come face to face with a duo (or was it trio) who seemed more willing to assist him. He could only hope that they could help him - all things considered, there was no guarantee they would even know how to help him!

"Afternoon," he replied with a small smile and then nodded to the bunny, for some reason the rabbit seemed much less inclined towards him, Admittedly, that might have been due to the fact that Purah possessed the ability to eat him, but that was by no means his intention at the moment. "Uh, sorry for just sort of...showing up," he added and cleared his throat. "I was kinda hoping you'd be able to help me..."

"Oh here we go again," Durama said with a sigh; he soon received a disgruntled stare from Gus...and also from Murmur, though she refrained from saying anything.

"I'm kind of new to these parts but I can give it a go," Gus offered and raised a brow. "What is it you need from us?" he asked.

"Directions, actually," Purah seemed a touch deflated. If Gus was new to these parts then it was highly unlikely that he'd be able to answer, if Durama was with him then it was also logical to assume that the rabbit also wouldn't know. "I was trying to find a place by the beach, it's supposed to be really nice there. They've got um...well no one really explained what it was, some sort of gypsies beside them?" he tilted his head. "And then a desert to the -"

"The Bahari?" Durama lifted his own brow. "What are you looking for there?"

Gus seriously considered booting the rabbit several yards away, but thought better of it for the time being.

"A home," Purah replied sheepishly; it was at this point that Gus did step in, promptly pushing the rabbit behind him. A warm smile slid on to his lips and he waved his paw to encourage the younger lion to come closer.

"You're in luck, the grumpy bunny is from there and we're headed back to drop him and this little one off," he motioned to his head where Murmur gave a tiny wave of her paw. "So on this occasion, makes sense for you to tag along with us, shouldn't take much longer for us to get there. Right, Durama?"

"When I left...I wasn't really told to bring anyone back, just something," Durama gave a gusty sigh. "But they do love new folks so you might as well come along, just don't hold us up," he warned and gave a wag of his paw. "Gus already does that more than enough, I don't need two of you!" he finished and with that, he began to hop away again.

Gus watched him go with a curt shake of his head and eventually followed. "I wouldn't worry about him, he's been flustered for days," he reassured the blue lion and eventually, Purah fell into step with him. "You got a name?"

"Purah."

"Nice to meet you, I'm Gus, that's Durama and this tiny thing is Murmur... two out of three of us are normally very pleasant, so you've got that going for you."

Purah hazarded a rather wry smile at that...
