[ JOB LISTING ] Inventory Manager [ DIFFICULTY LEVEL ] gaia_stargaia_stargaia_star [ TASK ] Monitor and list all incoming and outgoing inventory.
"Okay, look," Adelaide seems very irritated. "We just had two trucks come in and drop off their goods. Those nincompoops," she points at two part-timers, "unloaded everything without marking things down." Eight large boxes are sitting on the dock.
She hands you a clip-board. "I need you to check each box's invoice and decide where it goes. If the invoice says 'Cavalry' you just put an X here," she points to the bottom left corner of the paper, "and have those boobs stack it over there. Don't actually count Cavalry boxes in the total number of boxes on the form. If it says anything else on the box, I need you to open it and make sure the invoice matches. Fill out your report when you're done."
Roll 8 d4: These are the boxes, and there are 8 of them. For each box follow the instructions below and RP accordingly. --If you roll doubles, it means you have two of that particular box and need to follow it's instructions twice. Same with triples, etc.
This box says it holds one complete silver dinner set. Roll 1 d10 to see what's missing.
-----If you roll a: -------1. Everything is there. -------2. It is missing the gravy boat. -------3. Two spoons are no where to be found. -------4. One serving platter is listed, but not in the box. -------5. Three forks have magically disappeared. -------6. One spoon and on butter knife are missing. -------7. Everything is there. -------8. Two plates are missing. -------9. There are NO forks in this set. WHAT?! -------10. Everything is there, but the large serving platter has a huge gouge on it. Best make a note.
This box is supposed to hold on large grandfather clock. Best check for damages. Roll 1 d6. If even it's in perfect condition. If odd the glass on the front is broken. You had better make a note.
Three large tapestries from the year 1400. Roll 1 d4. If you roll a 1 or 2, one tapestry is missing. If you roll a 3, they all have water damage. If you roll a 4, everything looks good!
This box is labeled "Cavalry". No need to check the contents, simply RP ordering the part-timers to stack it in the corner.
When you are done checking all 8 boxes, fill out the form below and post it in your last post.
"Thank you," Adelaide says as you hand over your form.

Terr had done this job before so he already knew what was expected of him. However, he was pleasantly surprised to find he was working with others today. Well he was pleasantly surprised to find Elaia. The War Horseman, Terr was still unsure of what he thought of them.
With his clipboard in hand, he walked up to the others, "I've done this task before, so if you need my assistance, I would be more than happy to provide it." He said though the dead-pan expression and steady monotone might be misconstrued as sarcasm if you weren't familiar with the stoic Death Horseman. Worse case scenario, Elaia would vouch for him.

Rayu had attempted to avoid this particular job again. And had failed. It seemed he had done a good job finding all the missing things last time and they wanted him again because of that. Too bad his luck was terrible.
"I've done it before too. But I might need your luck." he mumbled the last bit, annoyed.
"Anyways, lets got to work." he put on a fake smile.

Rayu- journal Clan: War - Warrior Arcana: The Magician (Group A) Description: Rayu is about 6'1" with black hair and wings with a green tint. He looks like a he that just waltzed out of the jungle and is wearing war paint and no shirt when not in human mode. (which is whenever possible) His alt form is a big black Panther and his humanoid mode sometimes matches.
It was the first time on this particular job, hadn't even approached the building as it was probably ever - did she even notice it was there? Probably not, either way. The company at least wasn't anything unfamiliar and the small Guardian beamed when she saw them. "Aa! Favorite friends!" (Only? No, that was too sad to consider. These were just going to be categorized as most interacted with in the past few days).
"Show me what to do ~ show me what to do." The clanswoman chirped as her fingers wiggled over a particular box that she was supposed to inspect. Despite there being writing involved, this seemed like it had the potential to be fun - unlike driving cars terribly and other such adventures she had already had. Besides, there was company. Particular company.
"Oh, oh! I have presents when we're done." If she managed to contain that excitement until they finished.
name: Elaia journal:A link! clan: Death (Guardian) arcana: Sun description: Short, petite under them layers of armor and furs. Hair is a mass of deep blue curls and blue eyes brightened by her black scerla. Is way too happy for her own good... and will fight you.

It was a rare, warm smile from Terr when Elaia arrived, and with her admission of them being her favorite friends, well, the smile got slightly bigger. You wouldn't even have noticed it if you weren't paying attention, really.
"Then we should proceed to complete the task, but let's not get careless," he said, setting aside the boxes marked CAVALRY and noting how many to remove from the final count. "It believe it's best that we separate the correctly labeled boxes from those we need to inspect."

Oh look it was his favorite Death clan horseman. Rayu flashed her a smile. "Presents? I like presents." He was pretty sure he owed her a spar still, at some point.
"You are my favorite too." he should bring her something from his next outing.
"Yes, you know what I'm lining these boxes up." He went through and got rid of all the boxes marked Cavalry, which was a total of one. and then he swiftly opened the others, just peeking inside for now as he lined them up.
4 silver dinner sets 2 clocks 1 tapestry set
Yes good now he planned to just check them all at the same time as opposed to opening each box individually like last time. Behold laziness.
"So you both are death clan?"

If at all possible, her smile only grew wider at their warm welcome. Yes, her two favorite clansmen indeed and already straight into work, so like Terr. With a quick check to her assortment of boxes, it seemed that she had a decent amount that were able to be placed among the pile that the pair of the had already began to fill. There was still a decent amount in front of her but at least a little less. (And those she would be able to open, what fun!)
"Yes yes! Terr and I have known each other fooooreeever ~" Probably not that long but in horsemen years, one did lose track of numerical amounts when it pertained to years.
Terr had to admit there was a level of efficiency in Rayu's method. So much so that he'd taken to doing the exact same thing. Only he proceeded to inspect the contents of his boxes, "Yes, yes, Forever and a Day." he said in his usual monotone.
"How did you two become acquainted?" he asked, trying to control his emotions when he saw the amount of water damage the first box of tapestries held. He closed the lid of the first box with a somber reverence before proceeding to check the second.
Rayu had covered the basics of their meeting, "we had tons of fun!" At least she could add something; and it was the truth after all. Why else would she enjoy his company (though, wouldn't she regardless? Even if he was grumpy, something told her she would try just as hard to be his friend or something).
With the other boxes sorted, Elaia worked on the one with the least amount to get it out of the way. It was a dinner set from the description. She pried the top off, excited to see the contents finally of one of the boxes and just sort of stared at it. Someone was missing, according to the label and the sheet inside. If it had pictures, it probably would have been easier to clue in to what was in fact not there. But by process of elimination (what sort of dinnerware she did know) it seemed a serving platter was missing.
Whatever that was.

Tons of fun, huh? Yes, well, as long as the War Horseman wasn't getting Elaia into any trouble, Terr had no reason to worry. She was the better fighter between her and Terr. "I assume you two took the proper precautions not to catch a chill?"
The boxes containing grandfather clocks showed no damage. Excellent. The movers had done better this time.
"of course!" She chirped, "wouldn't go anywhere cold without my cloak," her cheeks puffed up just slightly. Even though she couldn't normally wear her awesome fur in the human world, she was smart enough to bring it on a mission to go fight hunters!
With a small pop, her face returned to normal. Her next collection of boxes were big and were not easily able to shuffle around earlier like the others. But she would get to them! With the help of a step ladder.
Oh, they were clocks! And half of them were broken!
Terr gave Rayu a slow meaningful look. One that said you are so lucky you were with Elaia then. The pair seemed to be the sort who would happily carry the conversation for him, a plus in the jewelry maker's book. They were free to keep talking and he would chime in if he thought he had anything substantial to add.
As he took stock of the last box's contents, he frowned and glanced up to ask Rayu and Elaia, "Would any of your boxes happen to have an extra serving platter?" He doubted it would have been accidentally placed in their boxes but it was worth a shot.
