Liya was planning on finding more squads to join on Hunter Base raids. The clan needed more FEAR and she really didn't want her room to go without power longer than necessary. She didn't want to go outside though, Foxfires (while adorable and snuggly) weren't good for the wings when they were coming in a downpour.
So she found herself wandering around until she ended up in the Famine Training grounds. She didn't really spend much time there, given that most of the time it was insects training rather than Horsemen. It was fun to watch them though and she figured she could wait out the downpour here.

Tessa was examining her meager stockpile of clothing, checking the pockets thoroughly and shaking them out before folding them neatly in a pile.
She glanced up as she saw a newcomer, head lifting as she smiled, reaching up to pull her hair out of her eyes.
"Greetings. Do you need warmth from the rain?"
CHARACTER: Tessa CLAN: Famine META JOURNAL ARCANA: Star BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF MY CHARACTER: Stoic most of the time, but with a heart of gold. Has green hair that usually blocks her vision, and has recently found a love for hair ties and barrettes. Has an unusual fascination with collecting various sizes and styles of clothing.
Liya glanced at the voice, "Oh, no, I'm good~ Unless you were offering a hug then sure I'd love some warmth," she teased as one wing gestured for the Famine to approach.

Snorting, Tessa rolled her head back and approached, glancing over her pile of clothing to make sure it was safe. She glanced back to Liya, giving a slight bow.
"Was gonna try recruiting some Horsemen for a small squad. Gonna burn down some Hunter bases!" she declared. "You interested?" The foxfire downpour can't last too long can it?
But as she made the offer, one of the famine horsemen in training suddenly unleashed a swarm of insects. Whatever they were trying to do, they seemed to have been overwhelmed as a good number of the bugs began crawling everywhere.
And worse, they were stinkbugs.

Tessa was definitely interested. It showed on her face, and she leaned forward to listen for further ideas on how to burn said Hunter bases... until there was a swarm of insects that crowded the place.
Of course, they weren't just any insects -- no, they had to be stinkbugs.
Making a face, Tessa reached forward and grasped one off of Liya's shirt, staring at it with mild disapproval.
"They're trying to make perfumes with the different variations of these guys. Some of them... aren't so..." What was the word for it? Ah. Yes. "... pleasant. It leaves a bit to be desired."
Liya knew better than to frantically try to shake off the bugs. The wild movement would be taken as a threat and trigger the insects to spew out their stench. And learning some of these were being bred to produce perfume made her stay even stiller. Whether the bugs crawling near them had pleasant or foul, too much of it was not a good idea.
"Would you know which scent that one you got has?" she asked cautiously, reluctant to brush off the other one that was making its way up her bare leg.

Making a face, Tessa shook her head.
"Honestly... we won't know unless we try a few." She squeezed the stink bug carefully, making a face as she held it out.
"Beauty before age?"
If worse came to it, she'd go first, but... she was reluctant to.
The War Horseman was not very vain, well not that vain. Her only true pride and joy were her wings and if worse came to worse, she would get them washed. Repeatedly.
"C'mon! Gimme your best shot!" she declared, striking a "come at me" pose.

A giggle rose up in Tessa's throat, and she moved forward to squeeze the stinkbug onto the other's chest, closing her eyes as she did so, just in case any decided to come back at her.
Daring to open an eye after a few seconds ticked by, she stared at the other, not really smelling much of anything.
There wasn't any smell. Not at first and Liya opened her mouth to speak of her findings but then it hit her and she all but threw herself backwards, hands covering her nose, while she tried to get as far away from the cloud of stench as she could.
"Aaaaaaugh, that thing smells worse than a rotting foot sandwich was left out in the sun for too long and has all but turned to mush!" she described, trying not to gag, "Oh ******** it's in my mouth."

Tessa was really, really tempted to laugh, but she managed to keep her mouth shut, giving the other a strange expression instead.
She tossed the bug over her shoulder and got another larger one, mango colored. To her logic, this one should smell rather fruity, possibly?
She dabbed the bug gently on her wrist before throwing it at Liya to use, then dared to take a whiff.
Okay, that one wasn't so bad. Not as bad as the first, anyway.
Liya reluctantly took the next bug, surely this one wouldn't be as bad right? After all, it couldn't be as bad. Unfortunately, even if it was the sweetest smelling perfume, the odor from the first one still permeated Liya's nose and she couldn't smell anything except the rotten foot sandwich mush.
"I can't smell any but stink, what do you think this one smells like?" she moaned before tossing over a floral-patterned insect.

Tessa took it, catching it between her palms as she gave it a little squeeze.
There was a floral poof that rolled up in a cloud, and Tessa breathed it in warily, blinking as the scent of oranges filled her senses.
"... this one is citrus. It's... actually very pleasant." Beaming, she moved closer to spray a little bit on Liya's form, trying to air out the distasteful scent from before.
"This should help a little bit," She offered, trying her best to help.
The War Horseman had no reason to doubt Tessa so when the floral-patterned stink bug was offered back, Liya tried it out. The citrusy scent did help cut down the stench, although it wasn't able to completely mask it It was definitely better than before, however.
She could feel something scuttling up her leg, though to be honest, Liya was surprised the odor hadn't driven off all of the other stink bugs. A good majority of them had gone back to their original master, there were a handful still here and there. The red and pink one she now held in her hand gave out a cloud of roses.
Which Liya could barely make out. "Flowers?" she asked Tessa for confirmation.
