[ JOB LISTING ] Assistant Sales Clerk [ DIFFICULTY LEVEL ] gaia_star [ TASK ] The key word here is Assistant. You will be helping with the front of house operations and other minor tasks. Roll 2d4. The first die chooses the task for the day, the second die is the 'event'. RP accordingly! Events can be major or minor, it is up to you. (If I roll 2,4, then I have task 2, and the 4 dictates my event.)
Adelaide would like you to watch the front of house. It's not terribly difficult, as customers usually just come in to browse and - Oh, no. That woman over there isn't watching her three children and they've decided to play tag among the priceless, delicate displays. Event: If your second dice is odd the children nearly break a vase. If it is even they pull a tapestry off the wall.
"Here is the duster. This cleaner is for glass, this one for the shelves." As the newest member of the team, the tedious task of dusting everything in the main gallery falls to you. Try not to break anything, and remember: Adelaide is looking for a streak-free shine! Event: If your second dice is odd you have trouble with some greasy fingerprints on glass. If it is even Adelaide isn't pleased with your work and asks you to do it again (just rp no rolling!)
Coffee run! Adelaide is requesting one mid-sized cafe mocha, extra chocolate and whipped cream, as well as six other drinks for various staff and clients. Her favourite coffee place is two blocks down the street. "Oh, and don't forget a half dozen of their triple-chocolate muffins." Event: If your second die is odd the coffee shop clerk gives you too much change. If it is even the coffee shop clerk winks at you, slipping an extra muffin into the to-go bag.
Unloading duty. A shipment has arrived and your job is to help unload the truck. There are 20 wooden crates, weighing anything from 2 pounds to as much as you. Event: If your second dice is odd as your reach for a box a large rat crawls out the box and up your arm. If it is even nearly all of the boxes are very heavy.

Peril needed to get working. His survey had missed the one place that was actually damaged, the crystal. Peril was feeling a bit depressed about that but he didn't know enough about how the crystal worked to have fixed it anyways. That was someone else's job.
But right now his job seemed to be collecting fear. Too bad that seemed to include menial labor.
He did bump into another worker on the way to his assignment. "Oh sorry, hello." the termites skittered around under his cloths.

Peril- Journal Clan: Famine - Colony Soldier Arcana: The high priestess (Group A) Description: Shirtless with scarf. Termites occasionally crawl in and out of the folds of his cloths.
Before he had vanished from the War canopy, Meelo had managed to snag one of the fliers that had been posted on one of the various trees in his surrounding. It had been tucked somewhere for safe keeping as he ventured to the human world with that pretty little clanswoman.
Free as he was now to do as needed, the soldier finally came back to the tasks that grand heir had grumbled about when she set forth on posting them. Now seemed like as good a time as any really to take on a job - it was needed for the lively hood of their home after all.
It was with antiques which, well, he couldn't say he knew too much about (never did) but work was work and he would always do his best, right? And manual labor didn't seem too bad, so taking on unloading duties seemed like a fair enough thing to start with. Nice and easy (even if he did want to go balls to the walls with anything). The only thing making this terrible was the amount of clothing he had to wear for these things. Meelo pulled at the collar of his shirt.
"Aa, dude, no worries, ya!" He voiced to the other worker. Apparently they were headed to the same area, making him grin wide. Awesome, someone to talk to while they worked! Oh, was that... "aa, dude you have..." Oh wait. He knew what this meant.

Perhaps one of the termites had found there way onto Meelo. Close contact with a Famine horseman can do that. Peril took no notice of the missing hive member though. They kind of did there thing. He was relived that this one seemed to be friendly. He flashed him a small smile.
"A what?" he wondered, forgetting that not everyone wandered around with a hive hanging out in their cloths.
Oh they were totally buddies today. Peril set about unloading boxes. This was the kind of manual labor he was used too. His termites skittered out of the way of things while he set them down.
Suddenly a large rat suck out and ate one of the termites. Peril stared at it looking very angry. He pulled out a hammer looking weapon and tried to smash it but the rat danced away.
A few did as as much as Meelo wanted to flick them off of his arm, he also didn't want to seem insulting to the apparent Famine clansman. Because really, who else would have bugs towing along with them even in the human world without a care. There were some of War who lacked basic hygiene but that generally meant other sorts parasites and insects that they claimed. Not termites.
He tried not to think about it. "Aa, nothin' brah, don't worry about it." He laughed it off, picking up his fair share of boxes to move over towards their designated locations. And a few times maybe a few more than he probably should have tried to handle, but he was here to impress after all. And the boxes weren't that heavy. Well, most of them. Some were actually kind of neat looking. One in particular, Meelo sort of fawned over and gave his best attention to and a little flourish as he set it down.
Another one he nearly dropped when the weapon came out, "aaweh, dude I don't think the boss would appreciate you smashing things up, ya." It felt a little weird to say that but they did have a job to do. (And why didn't he think of bringing his weapon? It was an awesome weapon at that).

Peril Gave him a blank look and then carefully put his weapon away. "I suppose." That didn't mean he wouldn't have his vengeance on the Rat. He sent a few scouts to go hunt it down.
(He probably wold have cared about his termites being brushed off but that particular bug one one of his favorites at the moment. Most of them just got everywhere.)
He did Meelo stacking the boxes way too high though. "Don't drop those. Boss will be mad. about that too."
There was a retort on the tip of his tongue but Meelo barely managed to cull it, realizing at the last minute that no he would not be able to solve the height problem with the use of his wings. Because he wasn't allowed to use them here, tucked away by the glamour of these annoying clothes. As it was, his current pile was stable enough (thank you very much) to leave it as it was so he began anew.
The termite hunting party were late to the find after the next box was lifted. It let out a loud squeak as Meelo stared it down and resisted the urge to throw his box to catch it. Thankfully it wasn't a very large or heavy item, allowing him to rest it in the crook of his arm as he went about snatching the rodent. It took a few good tries - and having to ultimately set the box down - and a clever impromptu trap with a few of the other boxes before he managed to corner it. "Aha, don't think you can escape a master of traps little rat." He grabbed it by the scruff of its neck. It was small, but perhaps it could be an interesting little pelt or something.

"Oh good you got it. Are you going to kill it? Please kill it." and let him watch, it killed his favorite bug.
The rat was turned in his hand, observed and hummed over. With a free finger, he booped it's nose. "Probably, not here though. Don't think the boss would be too pleased, ya. Humans don't like to see blood in the workplace, ya." Even if it did belong to a rat.
"You want half?"
