Terr was back at the lab for another go. He'd done well the last time and got to enjoy himself with Vin so naturally he was more than willing to try again. It paid well, it was interesting work, and best of all, if he was alone he didn't have to socialize too much. He could go on about his day in silence, observing the...

Terr froze when he saw the animal he was supposed to work with that day was a bird. Specifically a chicken. He narrowed his eyes at the foul fowl and hoped that the gene therapy involved losing use of wings.

No such luck.

When he checked the charts it showed it was being a placebo. Terr's face was his usual expressionless blank but on the inside? On the inside he was seething and glowering and wishing ill of the chicken. And to his further frustration? The placebo's performance was the equivalent of the move a certain aquatic creature from a human's game.

Nothing happened.

He was given a second specimen after the first failed experiment and to his relief it wasn't another chicken or avian variant. He was developing a mild resentment for anything with feathers. Hopefully it was just a one-off thing and the next time he saw anything or anyone feathery they would be halfway decent.

For now he had to contend with his task of determining whether the gene therapy had any effect on the guinea pig. He watched as varying objects of different weight were presented to it and how far it managed to push them.

Name & Job: Terr

Please describe how today's events made you feel emotionally. It didn't.

Do you think the targeted genes are useful? Undoubtedly.

Did you have any ethical problems with the work done today? I still don't understand the question.
