[ JOB LISTING ] Guard [ DIFFICULTY LEVEL ] gaia_stargaia_stargaia_star [ TASK ] Thing's are getting a bit heated near one of the embassies, and additional guards are needed.

One of the side effects of having War clan members visiting often is that sometimes they have an effect on the local populace. Which isn't necessarily terrible, but embassy buildings don't grow on trees. Except for the wooden ones, maybe, but those are extremely flammable. Anyway, calls for extra gaurds at the various embassies aren't uncommon, and this time it's Edict herself who takes notice of you.
"Go help."
Conquest isn't one to mince words, to be honest, but ignoring them isn't wise.
Pick any city in the world to have this take place and roll 3d4 for three prompts. You can have your character try to duck out of guard duty instead by rolling 1d10. 1-9 they get caught and you need to write all 4 prompts instead. Roll a 10 and they successfully don't get caught, after a fun day in the city causing a ruckus, they get back and join in time to receive pay and commendation for a job well done.
Embassy HP: 1000 A crude bomb of some sort is lobbed over the wall. You can choose to try tossing it over, defusing it, or containing the explosion. Roll 1d4 - even is successful, odd is a failure. Failure costs the embassy 250 HP A rioting mob storms the doors, there are literal torches and pitchforks being waved about. It's actually kind of charming, but this is no time for nostalgic remembrance! Fight them off, persuade them, or barricade the building. Roll 1d4 - even is successful, odd is a failure. Failure costs the embassy 250 HP (but no need to continue rolling for this prompt!) Hunters have infiltrated the battle zone, discreetly joining the human attacks. Pick them out and pick them off as best you can. Roll 6d100 to determine how much damage the hunters (and possibly you yourself) cause before you get rid of them A War Heir has gone happily berserk at the fighting and transformed into a fifty foot monster horse. Roll 1d100 to soothe them. If you roll any number containing 1 or 9, you succeed. If you don't, then that number is the damage taken by the embassy. Continue rolling until they are successfully soothed.
Should the embassy fall, Edict shows a quiet display of disappointment in you and has you removed from her sight for the rest of the day.
[ UPON COMPLETION ] +1 Raffle Ticket (you can only claim a MAX of 3 per player this way!) +5 Currency +1 Arcana Bonus gaia_crown+1 RARE UNIQUE CLOTHING PIECE RELATED TO THIS JOB (LINK COMPLETED THREAD HERE)

Tessa was rather tired from running around to different places, so she attempted to take a job, then tried to sneak off...
... only to be caught by a Conquest Horseman and thrown onto the boat to help guard it.
Well, that could have gone better, but there was no avoiding it now.
The Embassy was under attack, and Tessa had no choice but to help defend.

Tessa wasn't able to catch the bomb, finding that she was too slow. All she could do was watch as it rolled right past her fingertips, panic crossing her face as she attempted to smother it...
It exploded before she could even get it covered.
The explosion threw her back a few feet, sending shards and shrapnel everywhere, littering her skin in a rather crude but decorative manner.
Her ears rang, and her vision blurred as the ringing slowly stopped, forcing her body to rise against all odds and brave the pain, working through it.
There was still more to do.

Embassy HP: 750
There wasn't enough time for the ringing in her ears to completely dissipate, and Tessa realized, a bit too late, that there was a rioting mob that was colliding against the doors.
What was even going ON anymore!?
This was strangely nostalgic, but she shook her head, clearing her mind of the memories. Now wasn't the time for that -- she had to act, and she had to act fast.
Pursing her lips, she grabbed a pitchfork out of one of the rioter's hands, twirling it before sticking it into something heavy (a feat in itself, whatever it was), using it to club away the mob.
It worked.
It wasn't long before they backed down at her massive makeshift pitchfork-club.

Apparently, the pitchfork-club hadn't been as effective as she thought.
A din roar welled up in the crowd, and Tessa winced, the noise becoming louder as a wave of white coats came up in droves, slamming against the doors with their all-too familiar weapons.
Hunters.
Sneering at them, Tessa managed to use her makeshift weapon to club a few more, managing to drive some back -- but not before massive damage was done to the hull of the Embassy.

Wiping the sweat from her forehead, Tessa smiled... before frowning at a new noise that was all too familiar.
One of the War Heirs had gone berserk from the fighting, the excitement getting to be too much for them to handle.
They'd changed into horse form, and Tessa had to wind her way through the crowd to attempt to calm them down, reaching up and tugging on the locks of their hair to climb up and soothe the beast by rubbing its muzzle.
"There, there. Calm down, now. The fight's over. It's over."

Once everything had dispersed, Tessa sat at a table and attempted to collect her thoughts, breathing hard.
It had been a literal zoo, almost.
Bombs and pitchforks and mobs and a giant war pony all rolled into one... and it had taken a lot of effort on her part just to keep things from going from bad to worse.
There was a cheer that went up in the crowd on the winning side, and a delegate from the Embassy dropped off her winnings, to which she took in a tired manner, thanking them briefly.
She was done for the day... and overly thankful that it was over.
