[ JOB LISTING ] Junior Ambassador

[ TASK ] Introduce human visitors to the less...visceral aspects of you clan's culture. Have them leave with both a pleasant impression and a nice souvenir

Quote:

The Clans have moved forward from their traditional roots in many ways to better infiltrate and influence the human world. However, these traditions are not something to be simply tossed away and forgotten, but rather cherished and occasionally shared with outsiders.

Your horseman has been selected to show off one of the human-friendly aspects of their clan's culture. In traditional clothing, they'll be expected to introduce a small group of humans. It can be a class or demonstration, a display or lecture of sorts.

No rolls needed.

You can choose to focus on what they teach or simply handwave that and focus on any troubles or successes your character has with the group instead. If you'd like detailed information to draw on, this is a link to horseman job classes, the canon tower, and the spoilers in this post include many many classes that involve each clans culture before the islands were destroyed.

It was decided that she would not cover hotline bling after all. “It should be something to demonstrate our clan's fine culture and arts,” or so was the final verdict in the debate amongst the scholars. Which was fine enough, BingHua was not sure she liked the baggy t shirt and the random dabbing anyway. And so it was decided that she would grace the humans in her traditional garb and all its finery, and of course, the fine beauty that she was herself.

Yes, yes, settle down all you cattle. BingHua didn't so much as bat an eye at the collective gasp that echoed throughout the room when she entered (she wouldn't catch the murmuring amongst the audience that wondered if this was an elaborate cosplay or if those horns were real). She was here to educate these people of her culture, but who said she wasn't going to put up a show of it as well. Settling down into her seat, her fingers found their position on the neck of her shamisen and she began to play a tune that was a little more modern in its taste. She thought they might appreciate that better, rather than waste years of fine musical heritage on their uncultured ears with the older pieces.

As the music came to an end, BingHua made sure to end her performance with a smile despite the urge to hurl her hairpin through the creepy man at the back who kept whispering about wanting a waifu.
