spaceWe don't want any of our members to be limited to writing exclusively about things they personally have experienced, since that can be boring. But, we also know that when something isn't being written with first-hand experience, it can be difficult to get it right. So, below you'll find links to several guides reviewed and approved by the guild moderators for helping you write unique characters and unique situations. If you're interested in writing a character with a characteristic you are unfamiliar with, we encourage you to check the list for guides that will help.
spaceHave an idea you're not sure how to execute? Check the list. If there's not already a guide in place, feel free to look around for one, or even ask one of the mods to do so. We'll do whatever we can to make sure that your characters and plots are as accurate to real-world as possible (with the obvious exception of magic, but that goes without saying). Just because this is a fantasy world doesn't mean that we're throwing all the rules and laws out the window, so try to make an effort to ensure that you've done your research!
spaceKnow of a guide similar to these that's not on the list? Feel free to submit it! The guild mods will review it and add it to the list if it's up to snuff. We want to make sure this is as informative and comprehensive as possible, so any additions are welcome, so long as they are accurate.
spaceRegarding sources, you'll notice that not all of these guides come from anywhere of note. In fact, a lot of them are from tumblr, which isn't exactly top tier as far as informative websites go. While you wouldn't want to site it on a college paper, any and all guides linked here have been looked over and approved by the guild's moderators. Even if the source seems fishy, we have done our best to ensure that the information provided is accurate. We try to use guides from people with first-hand experience when possible, and from people who've done extensive research as well. A lot of these guides will have source links, feel free to check those if you are uncomfortable with the validity of any guide.
