"Okay, look," Adelaide seems very irritated. "We just had two trucks come in and drop off their goods. Those nincompoops," she points at two part-timers, "unloaded everything without marking things down." Eight large boxes are sitting on the dock.
She hands you a clip-board. "I need you to check each box's invoice and decide where it goes. If the invoice says 'Cavalry' you just put an X here," she points to the bottom left corner of the paper, "and have those boobs stack it over there. Don't actually count Cavalry boxes in the total number of boxes on the form. If it says anything else on the box, I need you to open it and make sure the invoice matches. Fill out your report when you're done."
Roll 8 d4: These are the boxes, and there are 8 of them. For each box follow the instructions below and RP accordingly. --If you roll doubles, it means you have two of that particular box and need to follow it's instructions twice. Same with triples, etc.
This box says it holds one complete silver dinner set. Roll 1 d10 to see what's missing.

One serving platter is listed, but not in the box. -------5. Three forks have magically disappeared. -------6. One spoon and on butter knife are missing. -------7. Everything is there. -------8. Two plates are missing. -------9. There are NO forks in this set. WHAT?! -------10. Everything is there, but the large serving platter has a huge gouge on it. Best make a note.
This box is supposed to hold on large grandfather clock. Best check for damages. Roll 1 d6. If even it's in perfect condition. If odd the glass on the front is broken. You had better make a note.
Three large tapestries from the year 1400. Roll 1 d4. If you roll a 1 or 2, one tapestry is missing. If you roll a 3, they all have water damage. If you roll a 4, everything looks good!
This box is labeled "Cavalry". No need to check the contents, simply RP ordering the part-timers to stack it in the corner.

Liya had not been expecting so much paperwork. Who would have thought a job titled inventory manager would mean she was going to have to deal with so much documentation? At least she had someone to commiserate with, right? "Ugggggggh!!!! This is the worst!" the War Horseman groaned to her coworker. "How are you at writing down all this stuff?"

If the other part-timers had done their jobs properly she and her co-worker wouldn't be stuck cleaning up their mess. "Agreed. I'm all right with writing and making notes." She replied grabbing some paper and a pen to take notes with. "Do you need a pen?"
"At least it will be easy, but tedious and boring" she had a feeling this job might take longer than she had thought. "I'm Chao." She said smiling at the other girl. Tapping her pen to her lips she looked at her set of crates debating which one to start with.

Liya gave Chao a grateful look as she reached her hand out for the offered pen, "Yes, please! I got waaaaay to used to using blood for ink." A beat. "Kidding~ but my handwriting's an absolute mess. I just hope it's legible. I'm Liya by the way. Nice to meet you, Chao."
When they went to inspect the boxes, Liya was lucky enough to spot three Cavalry-labeled boxes from the start.

Chao paused for a second as the other horseman said she used blood for ink. It was strange but it might just be a war thing."No problem." Chao laughed as the other girl said she was joking. "Nice too meet you."
Looking at her invoice the first box should hold a grandfather clock. Opening the box she was relived to find that it was not damaged. She made a note that it was fine on her little notebook.

After she finished ordering the "boobs" to stack the Cavalry boxes, Liya inspected a box that contained tapestries. Checking the details of the invoice revealed missing tapestries. The War horseman looked grim and clucked her tongue in a disappointed and somewhat maternal manner.

The box contained a silver dinner set, Chao knelt down and carefully moved some of the items as she counted them to see if anything was missing. Hmm it looked like one of the serving trays was missing. She quickly made a note of it.

Chao moved onto the next box, which the invoice stated was another grandfather clock. She carefully opened the lid to check for damages. The glass in the front of the clock was shattered. Clearly the idiots who had unloaded it hadn't payed attention to the fact that it was fragile. She made a note of if in her book.
Moving on to the next box, Liya saw that it was supposed to contain a grandfather clock. Admittedly given the size she wouldn't have guessed that that was its contents. She opened the box and had to shake her head when she found the glass was broken. The War Horseman was definitely going to take note of that obvious failure.
Liya turned to tackle the last three boxes assigned to her and checking the invoices, she let out a groan. There were so many things she was supposed to look and verify with these boxes. She hoped these didn't have any issues but she wasn't holding her breath.
And for good reason as the first was missing all its forks, the second box was missing three forks, and the last box was missing two spoons.
When Liya saw she had finished with her boxes, she quickly set to filling out the form Adelaide had given them.

The next box was a Calvary box so she picked it up and carried it to where it was supposed to go.
Returning to her boxes she started to look at the next crate. Another set of dinner wear that was also missing the serving platter. Strange, she jotted down her findings.

Another create labeled grandfather clock, time to see what condition it is in. She sighed as the opened crate reviled another broken clock. The unloaders really needed to be more careful. Another mark in her note book.

The next crate held a new item, tapestries. The tapestries where old and looked to be in good condition the only problem was that one of them was missing. She sighed and noted it. Things where not looking good in the inventory management department.
"That's great" Chao called cheerfully to the war horsemen who had finished. "I just have one more crate to check."

Finally Chao was on the final box, once she checked it and filled out the paper work she was free! The grandfather clock in the box was intact. With a satisfied hum she looked over her notes and quickly filled out the form.
