[ JOB LISTING ] Inventory Manager [ DIFFICULTY LEVEL ] gaia_stargaia_stargaia_star [ TASK ] Monitor and list all incoming and outgoing inventory.
"Okay, look," Adelaide seems very irritated. "We just had two trucks come in and drop off their goods. Those nincompoops," she points at two part-timers, "unloaded everything without marking things down." Eight large boxes are sitting on the dock.
She hands you a clip-board. "I need you to check each box's invoice and decide where it goes. If the invoice says 'Cavalry' you just put an X here," she points to the bottom left corner of the paper, "and have those boobs stack it over there. Don't actually count Cavalry boxes in the total number of boxes on the form. If it says anything else on the box, I need you to open it and make sure the invoice matches. Fill out your report when you're done."
Roll 8 d4: These are the boxes, and there are 8 of them. For each box follow the instructions below and RP accordingly. --If you roll doubles, it means you have two of that particular box and need to follow it's instructions twice. Same with triples, etc.
This box says it holds one complete silver dinner set. Roll 1 d10 to see what's missing.
-----If you roll a: -------1. Everything is there. -------2. It is missing the gravy boat. -------3. Two spoons are no where to be found. -------4. One serving platter is listed, but not in the box. -------5. Three forks have magically disappeared. -------6. One spoon and on butter knife are missing. -------7. Everything is there. -------8. Two plates are missing. -------9. There are NO forks in this set. WHAT?! -------10. Everything is there, but the large serving platter has a huge gouge on it. Best make a note.
This box is supposed to hold on large grandfather clock. Best check for damages. Roll 1 d6. If even it's in perfect condition. If odd the glass on the front is broken. You had better make a note.
Three large tapestries from the year 1400. Roll 1 d4. If you roll a 1 or 2, one tapestry is missing. If you roll a 3, they all have water damage. If you roll a 4, everything looks good!
This box is labeled "Cavalry". No need to check the contents, simply RP ordering the part-timers to stack it in the corner.
When you are done checking all 4 boxes, fill out the form below and post it in your last post.
"Thank you," Adelaide says as you hand over your form.

Looking for a small job was better than boredom but he honestly wondered if boredom wasn't better sometimes.
He winced when he looked at the crates and then the paperwork being shoved in his hands.
"Alright, check and see if anything is missing, got it." he glanced at the other war pony, and made a face the moment Adelaide's back was turned. "So you ready to rock buttercup?"
He knew Vania's name but only vaguely. He should totally invite her over for training sometime.

Rayu- journal Clan: War - Warrior Arcana: The Magician (Group A) Description: Rayu is about 6'1" with black hair and wings with a green tint. He looks like a he that just waltzed out of the jungle and is wearing war paint and no shirt when not in human mode. (which is whenever possible) His alt form is a big black Panther and his humanoid mode sometimes matches.
"... buttercup?" The name definitely threw her off, and she wasn't sure exactly how to answer as she glanced over the boxes, running her hand through her mussy red hair.
"... there's a... lot of boxes." Well, of course there were. Since there were two of them, they could get though them all that much faster. That was the plan, right?
"... name's Vania." Please don't call her buttercup again. Please.
Moving over, she nudged a few boxes aside and opened them to see what was in them...

"You are war clan right?" he grinned and looked over the boxes. Pulling out a war knife he started busting open boxes and glancing inside. No sense in not using his tools when they were useful.
"I'm Rayu." just in case she was one of those. "And I do know your name, buttercup." he teased. Would she hit him?
"... o-oh. Yes." Vania was one of those, pursing her lips as she glanced sideways at him, eyes narrowed... but not in malice.
No. She didn't want to be labeled as one of those... but the thing was, she didn't remember.
It was very discouraging.
Shaking her head, she pulled out a piece of paper and wrote what was on the boxes, speaking them out loud to herself and ignoring the 'buttercup' comment.
Setting the list aside for the moment, she grabbed the first box and began to check it...
... then rocked back on her heels and frowned.
"Two spoons missing out of this one."

Rayu hummed as he looked down at the first box again and pulled out it's contents. "Only two."
He then leaned over near her and thwapped her with a wing. He didn't look at her. Instead he pretended to stretch and move on to his next box. "They really didn't do a good job on this order, I can already tell."

"Ahhh why are you hitting me?" he pouted at her for a whole half a second before breaking out into a grin.
He pulled the clock out of the box only to notice that the front was completely smashed. How annoying. He was careful not to cut himself as he set it back down. Then he took a few notes because he probably should do that. Even if this was boring.
"Because you started it! Obviously!" Aggravated now (but calming down due to sorting boxes, there was a kind of style to it that she liked and could focus on), Vania moved over to the second box and opened it, as well.
Smiling, Vania closed the box back up and moved it gently over to the side, glancing over to Rayu.
"You don't seem to be doing too well with your boxes... maybe that side got more smashed than this one?" It was possible, if the vehicle was... driven a certain way.
Of course, she had no way of knowing -- all that they saw was the aftermath of it.

"I didn't start nothing." he pulled out more tapestries.
".... I think perhaps I might be just having a bad streak of luck and shouldn't touch an more boxes." there were only two again. Was there supposed to be only two? he glanced a the other set finding he still didn't have a whole set. "Bad driving doesn't explain why theses are missing."
Setting the boxes aside that didn't need to be checked (she wrote cavalry on the list), Vania opened the last box and counted the silverware pieces, finding that again, there were two spoons missing.
"Maybe they took a few things for themselves. Especially the spoons." Her nose scrunched up. What would they need spoons for, and just spoons? The thought was boggling.
"Well, that covers my boxes. What about yours? All I have to do is write up the last bit, fill out the form, and sign off that we actually went through these things." She knew that Adelaide would be happy about the majority of her boxes, but she wasn't so sure about Rayu's.
Rayu wouldn't be the one that would be yelled at, though.

Vania found herself shaking her head, moving to sit on the floor next to one of the boxes, wings folding up beside her.
She smiled.
"I dunno. I might be motivation enough for you to finish, Rayu." She stuck her tongue out at him, obviously thinking that her statement was funny. "I know I wanted to hit a few other jobs, but a break right about now sounds nice."

She hadn't gotten the chance to look around much, and then there was that little fact of... oh yes. She didn't remember much.
Pressing her lips together, she smoothed out her hair and rubbed her cheeks, yawning before standing up and stretching, limbs, wings, and all.
"Maybe something a bit more... friendly?" Vania shrugged, skeptical. She really wasn't sure what to look for, but maybe something would pop out at her and interest her. "Won't know until I look."
