Tessa figured this job was easy. There was no way[ it couldn't be easy -- her family had done this before, all you had to click was a few buttons and move a few files, right?
Oh, if it had only been that easy.
She was seated at the desk and happily typed away, moving her thick hair out of her face so she could see better. Shifting on the keys to do that, however... she'd accidentally hit a key and
BWOOOP
a huge data file was gone, and her screen had just... frozen up.
Another Horseman came over with a sigh, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"Just.... just go take a break."

Once half of the day was done, Tessa wandered back towards her computer, and it looked like some of the interns had actually set back her computer to a former file.
Well, at least they'd had some backup.
Pursing her lips as she concentrated, she took a long drink of her coffee and closed her eyes, concentrating for a moment before she stared at the screen, trying to memorize the names of the files before she moved one over, and deleted another.
... she swore softly. She'd just done the same damn thing she had before her break, and now she saw one of the interns walking over with his hands thrown up in the air.
"AGAIN!?"
She slowly sunk out of her chair to refill her coffee.

Deciding to go back to the bugs (because that was at least familiar), Tessa fiddled with one and maneuvered it to different places, constantly blinking away tears.
Maybe she just needed to find a job.
It wouldn't be so bad if they didn't have files that were just so easy to delete.
But for now, she'd play with the bugs... and test them out by getting them to do tricks in the corners where they couldn't be seen.
It was a small, uplifting gesture for herself to deal with the day.

And Tessa was back to moving and deleting the wrong file again.

The interns were sick of her, and she ended up going to a different computer.
"You can't be by yourself to work on code. Here. Be on this team." And she was shuffled to help with a group project, one she didn't quite understand...
... but she wasn't alone.
Breathing in, she offered advice about how to make a particular aspect of it more colorful -- if they were going to advertise this, it needed to stand out, and there were a lot of agreements around the board that made Tessa feel like she was part of something.
It was a good feeling.

Finishing up with the project, Tessa was met with high fives all around, and she was approached by another project manager who gave her a thin-lipped smile.
"Well. You may not be good with coding, but I'm glad we found uses for you elsewhere. Come back tomorrow, we'll find something else for you to do."
"... I appreciate it. Thank you." Tessa bowed, taking her payment and leaving before anything else managed to go wrong.
At least she'd gotten free coffee!
She'd have to return the next day, for sure -- if for nothing else but the coffee. It was decent enough... and she liked the taste of it.
Maybe it wouldn't be so bad here, in the future after all.
There would always be another opportunity tomorrow!
