"Left for 'Cavalry;' not counted in the total. Got it!" She really hoped the fact that she was also a nincompoop wasn't too obvious.

The first box was marked, "three large tapestries." Trying not to feel like a thief, she opened it to confirm...
...and was disappointed to find two. Double-checking to make sure it was actually a "3," and not a "2" with an extra squiggle, she sighed and made note.

The second box also marked tapestries. She hoped the designs on these were prettier.
Opening the box revealed a happy triad, with brighter ornamentation and finer material. She rubbed it between her fingers and sighed to let it go.

The third was "Cavalry." She called one of the part-timers over, her voice loud enough to be heard from within the building itself. She mouthed a quiet "sorry" when someone peeped out.
"Goes over there," she said, pointing. With his tapering brown hat, he really did look like a boob.

"Ooh, a grandfather clock." She hadn't lifted one in some time.
Unfortunately, opening the box showed a broken clock, and she couldn't risk holding it and breaking it some more.

The next was a dinner set. Having had little use for utensils herself, they were a pleasant novelty.
Alas, checking its contents found a serving platter missing.

Another Calvary, another request to move it to the side. There was a near emergency this time, as the part-timer threatened to tip over with the weight. Thankfully, his partner rushed in to help.

It looked as if the last two boxes were grandfather clocks as well. She went to the first, hoping it hadn't been defaced as well.
Aha! Perfect condition. It had a nice heft to it, too, and she would have enjoyed carrying it against her shoulder if the part-timers weren't here to witness it. She tucked it back into the box instead, petting it as one might a kitten.

This was the twin to the former. Satisfied with its condition, she closed the lid.
