As a soldier, Merope figured he might as well try taking the stairs to head up to the Conquest-controlled areas of the Dusk. Sure it was rather War-like, but Merope couldn't deny that training like a War was effective, even if it was brutish and inelegant.

After exiting the stairwell, Merope had already walked a fair distance before he realized he was definitely not where he wanted to be. He was already committed though, and in order to save face he continued on his way until he reached the temple sanctuary.

There, he stopped the first important-looking person he saw. "Excuse me," he began in an attempt to catch Llydia's attention. "I would like to file a complaint."

Not that Llydia at all minded the interruption, but when somebody nearby began to call to her, she'd had to blink a few times in order to bring herself back into focus, her mind having previously been engaged with far too many thoughts as she had stared into one of the temples many mirrors.

"Yes?" She replied, almost dreamily, still not quite able to compute what was being asked of her, until reality shifted, snapping back into place with one last deliberately slow blink.

"O-Oh! A complaint?" She asked, all wide eyed and concerned, a hand digging into the robe layered over her short cut dress to pull out a notepad and pencil.

"What is it, dear one?"

"Yes," Merope leaned forward, using his hands to gesture. "Y'see, there's this table. It's a low table, about this high and covered in all sorts of jewels and things. It was last seen on the rehab floor."

He paused, crossing his arms. "I bashed my knee on it and it still stings. Which one of you arti...sans..." Merope trailed off, looking around the room.

"...This isn't the workshop where the Death clan makes things, isn't it?"

At first, she began scribbling away in her notebook furiously, nodding her head and taking down every word, gesturing for him to continue, and about to ask him if he could give her any more details on the jewel encrusted table before she realized that his voice had trailed off, and she slowly peeked back upward, eyebrows raised high.

"......Oh! Are you looking for the forge?" She asked, cheerfully, her face breaking out into a large grin. "This is the temple sanctuary~ I mean, we've got a lot of really wicked amazing fascinating and mind blowing things here, but we don't make them. Feel free to have a look around! I could even guide you." Her eyes widened, her notepad wielding hand dropping to her side as a hand pressed to her chest and she gasped, bouncing on her heels in excitement.

"Have you ever tried Trance? It's lovely, really, and I bet it would take your mind off of that little boo-boo~"

Merope felt like he stepped in something he shouldn't have. He looked around quickly to see if any Death Guardians were watching or were headed his way and oh man I'm in such deep trouble over that stupid table.

His attention returned to the priestess in front of him. With each bounce he could feel his chances of escape slipping away.

"Well... ya..." He began, "I guess the forge would be the best place? I mean I just wanted to have words with whoever made that table but it might be hard to track them down and... uh... what's Trance?"
