The little jewelry stand was less of a stand and more of a blanket spread across the ground with a few trinkets laid out across the blanket. Issos didn't have the time or the energy to make an actual, physical stand comprised of boards and glue, or even do anything more than this; besides, this had worked quite well for a while now, and only served to prove that he didn't need anything fancy.
He was sitting cross-legged on the blanket now, swathed in his usual dark garb of several blues and blacks layered over himself. Black bat wings were folded neatly against the small of his back, low to his hips, and black tipped hands moved across the items on the blanket, sorting them into their proper places.
Issos was thinking of the pale haired horseman again, though he was trying not to. He added a set of green bracelets to the pile of blues, decided against it, moved them to another spot, and finally put them back with the blues, because he was indecisive when it came to how things were laid out.
A notepad lay on his lap, a sketch half done of some of the buildings in the area. Issos reached for his pencil and idly tapped it against the papers, leaning back on one hand, letting out a small hum of thought.

"Still setting up?" Otto looked down from where he stood, his own thin robes black as night, and decorated with gems and jewels in a similar pitch. His neck, head, ears and hands were adorned with similar craftsmanship, as if the same artist had dressed him from head to toe. Otto smirked faintly before lowering himself to sit across from the dark haired merchant.

Distracted by sketching the line of a nearby building, it took Issos a minute to register that someone was speaking to him. And another second after that to connect that the low, amused sounding voice was someone he recognized - and even more so, the very same someone he'd been trying not to think about.
A wide smile broke out across his face.
"A little," said Issos, his dark gaze following as Otto folded himself into a sitting position on the blanket across from him. Little gems winked out at him from the folds of Otto's clothing - familiar as well, and making a small flutter of pleasure flit through Issos' mind.
"Looking for anything new?" he asked, arching a brow.

"Always." Otto murmured, pointedly focusing on the array of riches before him and not the handsome seller further up. He was just here to shop. That he was sitting down for the long haul was just because it was easier to see the wares. Definitely not so he could have a long chat with Issos.

Issos felt his lips tug into a small smile. There was something to be said for regular customers - but even more when it came to attractive, blue eyed customers who were already wearing a multitude of his work and also seemed to continually return to his meager little "stand."
"How have you been?" Issos asked, setting aside his sketchbook and reaching out to pluck up one of the bracelets, idly turning it over in his hands. "Well, I hope."

"Mmhmm. Pretty well, anyway." He murmured, his eyes lifting to the bracelet Issos was playing with. Eventually he managed to actually look the man in the face. Otto wasn't sure what kept bringing him here. The jewels or the man himself, handsome as the devil and carefree to boot. Always with that lazy smile on his face. His own face to most others it just looked perturbed. He had little control over the nature of his resting face. "And um... business.. I mean how is business here?" The shop always looked so simple, with not even a proper table or canopy. Yet he somehow enjoyed this picnic style set up best anyway.

" 'Pretty well' is still better than terrible," said Issos with a smile. He caught the flicker of bright eyes looking up at him and felt another squirming sensation in the pit of his stomach, Issos shifting a little. "It could be worse," he added. "You could be in the midst of a bitter fight or drowning in debt."
There was a light, teasing note to his voice. Issos turned the bracelet over again. One shoulder rose and fell in a half sort of shrug. "It's good, so far. I seem to be doing well with catering to all of the patrons that stop by, that is. They seem to like what I do."
His smile touched his eyes. "Anything new for my best customer?"

"Both are things I've experienced before." Otto replied. " Unpleasant." He added dryly as an afterthought. "Well, what you do is better than average. Your wares stand out more." He held himself back, trying not to seem to eager to please. He reigned himself in, averting his gaze while absently tweaking an earring. He couldn't help himself. "They're not as gaudy." Shrugging it off, he moved on. "Yeah. I'd like something a little different from my usual tastes."

He couldn't help but laugh a little. "I hope neither of those things were happening at the same time," Issos said, a grin in his eyes and on his face. "One is bad enough, but two is just a mess, I'm sure."
He tried not to feel too pleased that Otto thought his skills better than average. Issos' gaze flickered to the earring, and then back at Otto's face again, privately admiring the fact that his wares went so well with Otto's skin and pale hair and those eyes of his.
"Good," he said simply, "I'm glad. You wear them very well, just so you know."
Issos' head tilted a little, black hair falling over his forehead in jagged curls.
"What sort of thing? Anything here, or would you prefer me to make something new?"

He gave a brief half smile from the compliment, keeping his gaze just out of reach. "Good to know." He murmured in response. Otto smiled a little wider, as if Chance had just said the right thing. His gaze found Chance's now, eager and excited. "Make something just for me. One of a kind." He returned his face back to normal, keeping some semblance of professionalism between the two of them like a protective wall. "I'll pay extra. It doesn't matter how long it takes."

The averted gaze was endearing. Issos had to resist the urge to say something else, anything, that might get that shy sort of half smile expression on his face again.
But as it turned out, he got that, and more, because Otto's enthusiasm took Issos a little by surprise. He felt warmth spreading in his chest at that bright, eager look, something akin to pleasure sliding through his veins; Issos stared at him, momentarily at a loss for words.
His own smile was bright, pleased. "Something just for you, hmm?" A long fingered hand lifted, Issos tapping his chin thoughtfully as he regarded the other. "Something one of a kind...I don't think it should take me too long."
Already he had ideas, flitting through his mind, darting back and forth. "Any particular type you want? Or do you just want me to wing it?"

Shaking his head, Otto went on. "It won't mean anything unless you're the one that decides how it looks." Otto insisted, even if he felt embarrassed admitting all this. He was pretty sure he was playing it cool, though. Yeah, cool as a corpse. For certain. He was thankful it wouldn't take long. As much as he'd pretended to be patient, he'd actually ached at the thought of having to wait at all.

He opened his mouth and then promptly shut it again. The feeling of warmth in his chest persisted, grew stronger, spreading outwards, Issos pressing his lips together to hide the absurd smile that was threatening to cross his face.
His arm extended, draping cloth shifting with a rustle.
"Give me your hand, then," said Issos.

Otto was having a hard time reading the expression on his friend's face. While mid thought on deciphering it, Issos's hand was soon extended toward him. He blinked when he realized this, his face relaxing from deep thought and then morphed into hesitation. "What for?" He asked this, yet offered his hand anyway.

"Measurements," said Issos succinctly, flashing a teasing smile at Otto. Black tipped fingers closed around the other's arm as Issos held it up a little, his thumb and middle finger making a circle around the fine-boned wrist. He couldn't quite make them go all the way around; Issos groped behind him for a length of cord, wrapping it loosely around Otto's wrist in place of his fingers.
"Just want to make sure everything fits well," said Issos, casting a look up at Otto from beneath his lashes, lips quirked up. He picked up a small knife sitting with the rest of his supplies and made a quick snip of the extra cord, letting it slither away from Otto's wrist.
"In case I decide to do a bracelet, I want to make something that fits, rather than something that would fall off or be too tight," Issos explained. He set the cord down and reached for another length. "Now to measure ring length as well, extend your fingers out."
He hadn't measured Otto properly before; Otto tended to buy things straight out, but this was different. He had to make sure it went well.
