After finally ridding herself of the wretched confines of the cesspool known as the tower, mixed with an abhorrent array of lower classes, Kiki breathed in the outside air with fervor. How she wished things would go back to normal. Horsemen were tromping about in clothing of human origin, and lowly misfits ran to her for attention without proper introduction.
She wanted her throne room. She wanted the old ways.
She refused to participate in these garish games. Who was in charge here exactly? Memories of that Dorothy program flashed in her mind. Memory loss, hm? Was this pandemic the cause of everyone's shifted priorities?
Loss of memory or not, Kiki knew who she was. What she was.
Lost in her muttering thoughts, she walked passionately forward without looking where she was going, straight into a tall and barbarian looking red haired chieftain.

Rep flinched as a short horsewoman walked right into him, actually having to splay his wings for balance as he was knocked back.
"Oi!" he barked. "Watch where you are ******** going!" He narrowed his eyes. "Where exactly /are/ you ******** going?"
He looked her over thoughtfully, himself still dressed (or rather mostly undressed) in his traditional attire.
"And don't walk into me."

Any sane woman of her size and strength might have thought better about mouthing off to this behemoth. Kiki's pride far surpassed any such sense of self preservation.
"Listen here, you cad!" She barked back, jabbing the horseman's abs with a pointed finger. "It is you who so arrogantly blocked the path I was using! Why didn't you move when you saw me coming? Besides that, where I am headed is none of your business." More that she forgot where she'd been headed.
She huffed, crossing her arms now. "And no! I shall walk wherever I like! That includes into the path of half-naked, stinking barbarians!"

Rep seemed for a moment to waver between getting properly offended and angry and finding the whole situation hilarious. Mercifully, after a moment he seemed to decide that it was funny rather than something that really got to him, half way tempted to pick Kiki up to help her talk to his face.
“Look.” He said with a big grin. “I don’t respect like, wee princesses. The only person I get out of the way of are my partners, because if I don’t I don’t get any fun out of things. You though, who even are you?”
He patted her head condescendingly. “Are you lost or something?”

Such nerve. She should have known thick headed barbarians wouldn't respect the hierarchy of her own clan. It didn't make it any less infuriating. The world would be so much better if everyone would just submit to her authority.
Worser yet, it seemed the oaf was no treating her like a belligerent child.
"I am definitely not lost!" She harrumphed, aghast that the savage was patting her head as if he had the right to do so. "I am wandering!"

Rep decided there and then that Kiki was adorable and this was a decision which was difficult for even her anger to undo. The more irritable she got the more he wanted to bother her, like a pup trying to get another dog to play.
"Youuu didn't tell me who you arrre." he crooned.
"I'm Rep. Where are you wandering to?"
He grinned. "And can I come with you?"

"Hmmph!" She disliked his tone, but she supposed she could humour him. "I am Kiki." As if that answered everything.
Her mouth twisted in contempt at his further queries. Did she really care to have this red headed brat follow her around? Well, she supposed if he behaved, he might be useful. "I suppose I can allow your company. I was merely looking to amuse myself with some silk shopping on my way home. I desire new curtains for my bedchamber."
"If you are well behaved, I may allow you to carry me." These roads were a mite dusty, you see.

"Then hello Kiki." he said with nothing but amused cheer. "I'll come with you while you get your like uh..silk. Are curtains those things on windows?" he said. He'd never had a set of curtains in his whole life and was curious now where they came from and half way tempted to get some himself for his tree house.
"I can carry you if you ******** want, you are a wee skelf of a woman."

Maybe thus man wasn't half bad. If she ignored the amusement in his tone, he was downright pleasant. She smirked delightfully, nodding along. "Yes yes. They frame the windows, block sunlight when needed. Mostly they are a fantastic display of elegance and wealth."
She wasn't certain what a skelf was, but decided it meant 'beautiful and precious'.
"Perfect. I'd like to ride upon your shoulder. I wish to be tall today." She spread out her arms, waiting patiently to be attended.

Rep liked wealth. He wasn't sure why, as a War horseman he was mostly used to being around wood, leaves and furs, but something in him reached and downright yearned for luxury. He wanted to be fantastic, fabulous, impressive. It was in his nature and in some ways in his genes, his iridescent rooster feathered wings with their impressive hackle feathers setting him out as someone born to preen. Talking about curtains was more fascinating than he was willing to admit. "Well I think I will get some." he said thoughtfully.
Stooping to scoop her up he sat her on his shoulder, much as he might have with one of his kids. "I'm no that tall though, but it'll do right?"

"Some curtains?" She chuckled. What would a barbarian know of fine silks? "I will be a gracious guide and point out the best of them all. Just for you." Be grateful, was the statement underlaying beneath her tone.
Atop his shoulder, she felt powerful. While he was not the tallest of beings she'd ever met, she was still much taller than herself alone.
"Oh yes. It shall do just fine. Worry not, my friend." She grinned widely, patting him atop his red haired head. "Onward! We shall marvel at the luxury that awaits us."

"Look." Rep said, "Just cause I'm war doesn't mean I'm a ******** tasteless moron right, I buy all sorts of s**t, nice things like computers and whatever. I know stuff, I collect stuff." But he didn't sound too convinced. "I'd still like your input though I guess, couldn't hurt."
Without much to lose he made his way down towards the main street of the dusk where the various shops were lined up at the base of the tower. "Which one first?" He asked

She patted his head much the same way he'd done to her earlier. "There, there. I'm sure your cave is pretty and furry."
She looked over the brightly lit shops in the modern shopping district, eyeing each window with a gaze that ate up every little detail. "That one! That one! The shop with the gold brocade! ....Brocade, you ninny! Oh for--- here, left! The lef--- yes that one." The shop was lined with silks and fabrics for curtains and upholstery. Heavy materials that held a regal weight to them.
