Adventurers Needed: Four should be plenty. Just a routine check.
Quest Given: The Neighbours
Description: We've become very worried about Mrs Jaspar who lives next door to us. We've heard an awful wailing coming from her home. Everyone knows Mrs Jaspar has only been growing more and more senile over the years. Could you check on her and her cats for us? Some of the cats are quite aggressive so it would probably be a good idea to bring a whole party. There's a generous reward for anyone who can do this for us. Visit us after to pick up your reward.
Rewards: 10 Iron Coins per person. A week's worth of rations per person. Four Warning Charms.
A young woman wrapped in red sits down near the old shack of a house. Beside her there were bottles and jars of various shapes and sizes all filled with an unusual darkness. Charitna Valentina sat down half admiring her handiwork and half preparing her weapons for her first serious adventure. The pay wouldn't be great but Charitina believed that it was worth her time. She intended to prove her value to the residents of this small town.
The red clothed woman took out her stellein tracing the patterns back over her weapons again to ensure the rune was renewed and ready for instant use. One on her clothing. Nine on her bottles and jars. One on her shoes. One on her sword and finally one on her trump weapon. Her stick.
Even just looking at it the house was eerie to her. It felt like someone might come outside and shout at her for sitting around outside lounging about. She couldn't bear the thought of someone being angry with her when she was only trying to do good. Instinctively she stood up and took her things a little further away from the old hovel. She couldn't imagine anyone could live there. So dirty and in such disrepair. If her mother saw it she could imagine her having a fit. A dirty place like that she was sure to become quite ill and a woman without her strength is no use to her family.
Sitting now comfortably further away she began to eat. A roll she'd made before coming. Animals bits make a woman stronger she'd always said. Eating the hearts of animals for their strength had really always made her feel a bit faint so her bacon and egg sandwich was something of a secret she intended to keep. Food closer to the capital was much tastier than the sometimes too raw food she was used to. She continued to wolf down her sandwich waiting for the rest of her group. There were supposed to be at least three more.
((Basics to start us off. I've got a document with narration posts written up which I'll use as we progress.))
Not far from the young woman was a small, purple goblin by the name of Puzzle. She was hanging upside down from a tree branch while looking at the shack that laid only feets away from her. Man that place is eerie as hell... She said out-loud for everyone to hear, or those around her to hear. She flipped off the tree and landed on her feet upon the ground. Puzzle took a moment to dust herself off before grabbing her cannon and trotting over towards the other women. Whatcha eating? She asked as she was literally in her personal bubble and staring at the sandwich the women was eating.
‖ Who: Adventurers‖Where: Mission Zone ‖ Thoughts: Huh, a goblin...‖Ambiance: Lose My Life‖Profile‖‖ --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dezaira was walking through the brush, tightening the leather straps and wrapping them about her left arm. She wore nothing but leather and cloth armor, seeming as if she was not ready for real danger, but upon her pale freckled skin was intricate black swirls and jarring imagery. Anyone would know that this woman was armed to the teeth, either hiring someone to draw so many runes on her or being a master herself, and her hand was on the butt of her sword. Her bag of charms clacked at her side, and as two individuals came into view a soft smile appeared on her lips. Not much for the goblin girl that seemed to be inside of a human's personal bubble, but more so for the human. It was always a good sight for sore eyes to see another of her kind, and even though the mission board in which the quest was placed up was in a human settlement, it was always welcomed.
Eating her own jerky, Dez folded her hands and cocked out her leg. She allowed her fingers to lower to dwindle on her gourd filled with booze for the trip before she said, "So are we the crew? Nice meeting you all though it seems we're missing one." ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Danielle was watching from another tree branch as she watched what looked to be three figured enter into a clearing, one who was wrapped in red; something she had not seen around before or anywhere definitely odd one out quite interesting. Then a small purple goblin with a patch over her eye, this one she remember seeing around, but not enough information for her to care really care, all she knew about the goblin was that she was some pirate. Then again she was sure that she had gotten one of the pirates of her crew to come towards her, killing him was fun since he never expected it in bed after all, she still remembered tying his hands to the bed post and smashing his face in. Hearing him cry for help was so fun, plus he had a lot of money on him which was also good. Then came in the last person from the bush she looked pretty interesting to her and pretty cute too, but something told her that she was strong looking. Danielle liked it when they were strong since when she stabbed them int he back their confidence dies as they slowly succumb to death, that type of face excites her greatly. She could hear everything they were saying, as the woman in red was eating some roll, the goblin getting into her personal space and the new one stepping in asking if this was everyone, she guessed this was the perfect time to come in too. Calling down from the tree she said. "Not yet, but it will be soon~" Danielle said as she called down to them, she was sitting on a tree branch with one leg over the other and gave them a cute smile, with that she unfolded her leg and jumped down as she giggled and waved at them with another cute smile and a cheerful look on her face. "Now the crew is completed, let me introduce myself! My name is Danielle, its nice to meet you!" Danielle said as she took her hand out to greet them all. "Hope this mission goes well! Then we can get some money right?" Danielle said as she always had that nice sincere and true smile on her face, something she had been practicing for a very long time, a smile that can draw anyone in and make them smile back when her true motives were hidden.

She'd been enjoying the peace out here even if the area wasn't particularly inviting but almost within moments of one of them appearing they'd all managed to appear at more or less the same time. The mission was sparse on details so it was slightly unusual that they all turned up around the same time but Charitina decided to brush this off as mere coincidence (the alternative being harder to countenance) and decided to make nothing of it. A strange creature stood before her now with long ears and an extremely large weapon perhaps a club of some sort. She decided to answer her as the question wasn't too probing though she would rather be rid of the small thing quickly.
"An egg sandwich. Are you with us?" Charitina responded to the questioning curtly before standing up and then wolfing down the rest of her sandwich. Charitina could not abide the idea of anyone stealing her food and she didn't want to have this strange creature in her personal space. She moved quickly before anyone could reasonably react to take all her bottles and stashed them away within her cloak taking care that she could easily find them. Even if they were experienced fighters her equipment would be dangerous to someone who didn't properly know how to use it.
Two more women approached. One on foot and one who had been on a tree branch. Was it in vogue to travel through the trees in human settlements? Perhaps it might be wise in future then to travel through the trees. It certainly made them harder to spot but Charitina in her red garb might make herself more easily spotted. It bared investigation. As to the women themselves it was clear that one must be significantly stronger than the other. The one who'd introduced herself as Danielle was so obscenely full of figure her physical might must be stronger and yet the woman who had not given her name was covered in multiple runes. The distance was too great to really work out based on a look what they might be for (and especially so without some study) but Charitina couldn't fully mask her admiration for either of them.
She walked over impatiently ignoring the goblin who she was trying her best to be a reasonable though not too obviously uncomfortable distance from she moved quickly and clutched Danielle's hands in her own perhaps being too overbearing herself. "It's lovely to meet you both. Charitina Valentina. Let's do our best." Charitina could not hide her own preference for women with fuller figures. To her they always seemed to be more trustworthy though if Charitina considered it she'd probably have realised there was no real correlation between these things.
She moved swiftly again now clutching Dezaira's hands before she had a chance to really react or say anything.
"I don't think you introduced yourself?" She said expectantly before cutting Dezaira off so she wouldn't have a chance to say anything at all. "It'll be an honour to work with you. Your work is quite impressive." She said peeking over and trying to admire (and also steal) her handiwork. The runes were completely foreign to her however the kind of patterns she would never use herself. They drew on a completely different basis that she wasn't skilled enough to analyse in secret. Taking care to not make it too obvious after a few brief glances she stared Deziara right in the eye with an awkward smile. She could start to feel her face heating up and deciding she didn't want to make a fool of herself deftly moved to turn around where nobody could see her expression.
Just an egg sandwich? That does not sound so filling. The little purple Goblin stated as she hopped back a few paces. Yes I am and the name is Puzzle Copperblast She bowed ever so gracefully before adjusting her cannon. Her gaze soon turns towards a red-haired woman dressed in leather. Puzzle would give her a wave before the scent of booze soon reached her nose. Without warning, she darted towards the human. Is that booze... can I have some!! She began to bounce up and down in anticipation, hoping the human will allow her a good swig of booze.
Just moments later the third of the party appeared, one who Puzzle only knew was there from the voice. Right! Money is good.. money allows me to buy booze!! She turn her gaze away from the booze carry woman to give a quick wave to the newcomer.
‖ Who: Adventurers‖Where: Mission Zone ‖ Thoughts: Found a drinking buddie!‖Ambiance: Lose My Life‖Profile‖‖ --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dez cursed herself for not having Ragnar here with her in that moment as a blonde girl jumped out of a tree right above her. The redhead was far from caring of her environment at the moment, as she was in a laxed position and knew it was only a one star mission, and thus didn't really care to assess her surroundings all that much. It would have been a mistake if the blonde was the enemy, and as such Dez rubbed the back of her head and let forth a cheey grin.
Oh, so they were all introducing themselves. Dezaira frowned for a moment, always having to contemplate if she was going to release her true identity, or if she would use her persona instead. She didn't know any of these people, and while the curly haired girl seemed docile enough, the others in the group didn't appear all that innocent. Granted, Dezaira was only thinking of all of this because she- surprisingly enough- had not consumed half the bottle of alcohol before she traversed to this location, and if she had there would have been no thought of it.
Before she could open her mouth, the redhead looked down to see a smaller girl clamping down on her hand in a strange fashion. She had just come from the blonde, so Dez surmised it to just being polite, but it was still strange. When she was asked to introduce herself, the heiress blinked a few times and just shrugged her shoulders though the manner in which the girl said it was an honor ticked in her brain. An honor to work with her? Did the kid know who she was or was she just talking about all her rune marks? In another moment Dezaira sighed in relief, realizing it was just about her rune work, and smiled again more genuinely. It wasn't uncommon for humans to admire one's body for their runes, and it didn't bother Dez in the least, nor did she realize the girl was possibly trying to steal them.
Clearing her throat, making it seem as if she wasn't in a life or death struggle to say her name, Dezaira waved casually and said, "Dez, nice to meet you all." Her attention drove to the goblin, now in her own personal space, but a sly grin creeped over her face. "It's aged well, so don't fall on your a**," she remarked, showing off a rune that any human working in the distilleries knew was a aging rune. She kept it secured on her gourd so that no matter what she placed into it, it would always pack a punch, and another rune on the clay was so that it never had to be refilled on journeys.
Taking off the cork, Dez couldn't unlatch the gourd from her, so instead she waited for the goblin to get something to drink from because there was no way in hell that mouth was going to contaminate her drinking source. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
