(Back dating this - a lot)

He didn’t go to the mall to shop for pants or shirts, the styles just weren't what he was interested in, but he did go to the mall to shop for other things like shoes, boots, accessories and plenty of other things. He had disliked the mall at first, due to the lack of clothing which were his style or fit properly, but he’d managed to find some reasons to come here to shop.

He’d gone out to get some more bathroom towels for the house, it seemed that despite his sister having moved back to Korea they needed more towels for the four people in his home. Perhaps it was in part due to having to use some to try Yeong off when he went out for a walk in the rain? Not likely though but he couldn’t think of any real reason for them to be needing more towels. When his mother had mentioned it over breakfast he’d offered to do the shopping for her, knowing she had some paperwork to do even though she had the day off. She’d tried to argue him, reminding him he had finals exams to study for and papers to do, but in the end he’d won out as he’d assured her that he’d get it all done and do well. He’d studied on his own back home and how well had he done on his final exams? He’d made it into Seoul National University, one of the three SKY universities, and so she should trust him now as she had then - he’d won.

With his mother at home working, along with his father, he had done the shopping for the towels and with two bags from Macy’s hanging from his arm he had gotten distracted by one of the many jewelry stores the mall had this was one of the ones which was situated in the center of the mall, rather than being an actual store you walked in to.

As Seung had several holes in both of his ears it was safe to assume he had a collection of earrings, a rather large one, and he couldn’t help looking for new ones all the time. The place, piercing pagoda didn’t seem high end, had a lot to choose from and he was hooked on browsing the selection they had. It seemed a bit...cheap this place but it wasn’t like he spent a lot on most of what he shoved into his ear holes anyway, most were sterling silver with some being white gold and a fair amount being gold. He thought he might even have a titanium set or two of earrings but he couldn’t remember, and did it matter anyway?

Flipping his hair from his face, the black and red strands of hair falling right back into his face, he lifted his head to glance about at all the people wandering about shopping and chatting - enjoying their day. So many people…

Markus sighed the noise lost among the hustle and bustle of the malls crowd. Though at this rate someone was bound to notice the bluentte that kept frustratingly pacing the entrance of the gamestop store. He hadn't meant to bring so much attention to himself, being as he was only attempting to work himself up enough courage to go in and turn in his application. The likes of which now crumpled terribly in a sweating hand, it was torn as well because at one point while walking to the mall he had considered just tearing it to shreds.

Because there was no way he was going to get hired.

A palm dragged down the young man's face and he moved swiftly to a section of wall by the store window. Where he crumpled and sat in the floor for a moment. Why the heck was adulting so hard? Why couldn't Jae just let him keep being a pizza guy!? It wasn't that dangerous!

A hand pushed through his ponytailed hair and pulled it for relief, it worked a little but he knew he looked crazy. A blush dusted cheeks and the man looked up, trying to see if anyone was watching. Feeling pathetic and wanting to be invisible as he pushed up and prepared to flee.

He'd just tell Jae they said they weren't hiring...

Maybe it was fate, or bad luck for Markus, but Seung wasn’t that far away just finishing picking out a few titanium hoops and cone ended studs for his numerous ear holes when he looked up and spotted a somewhat familiar figure. After spending time camping there was no real way for Seung to not remember the figure and paying hastily he took his purchase and hurried over toward the seated male, wondering what was wrong. He looked rather...distraught or perhaps stressed? He wasn’t sure but the other didn’t look good, that much he knew.

Approaching the other he knelt down in front of him. “Markus?” He asked gently, reaching out to place a hand on the younger's shoulder. “You ok?” Seung continued gently. “Look...upset.” He said then, dark eyes looking over the other, as if he could figure out what was bothering the other just by that - just by looking him over.

His attention snapped to Seung as the man's figure formed in front of face. Where in the world had he come from the bluenette questioned inwardly, startled for a second. On a chuckle with the call of his name the younger man nodded slowly, "Seung..hey man." It was a little embarrassing for someone like Seung to see him this way but there wasn't much he could do about it now.

Especially since the question of if he was ok told Markus that the other man had likely see him freak out. Great now his fellow knight was going to think he was some pathetic kid. Markus groaned softly and dragged a hand down his face. Smiling softly to the hand that Seung had placed on his shoulder, the likes of which warming him up a bit.
Look upset..Heh. He had forgotten somehow about the speech pattern of the other man. A slow spread of the previously mention smiled and Markus nodded. A hand moving up to clutch Seung's opposite shoulder, giving it a friendly squeeze. "Yeah. I mean it's just something stupid, heh.." He offered softly, meekly almost as eyes adverted from the other man's face. He just needed to go home and sleep for days, maybe play video games.

But what would that help?

A sigh and his hand started to slip off the others shoulder, eyes coming back around to the other man. Then just as he was about to excuse himself it happened, a loud whine of stomach came and his face heated. "Oh..man, I've been here all day freaking out and forgot to eaaat." He whined just as loud as the growling stomach and made a near comical face of pain. It felt like he was trying to eat himself!

Quote:
“What is stupid - has you upset...can’t be stupid.” Seung said, hoping to find out what was bothering the younger male. He didn’t want to push but he did want to know, in case he could somehow help the other. He might be new to the country and he might know a lot of things, he might even do things different or wrong, but he would do his best whenever he could and try to help someone.

He hadn’t been so nice, so warm, back home but here - in another country..he was different. It wasn’t that he wanted to be so different - to be someone else. But he was in a different place and the lack of familiarity had thrown him and still had him acting out of character. Eventually he hoped to get back to normal - eventually.

At the sounds from the other's stomach, and the other admitting to not eating, Seung shook his head. “First we settle problem - then we eat. I will treat.” But to where? He didn’t know much for non-Korean places but if the other had a place in mind, something he wanted to eat, Seung would go for it and treat the other. “Need to take care of self and eat.” As if he took care of himself and ate properly - something Terry had pointed out at least once to him. It was one of many things for him to work on...maybe.

Seung was a good guy, Markus reasoned as the kind words pulled a wider smile from him. It was stupid but he was just hungry enough to give a confession. So he inhaled sharply and scratched at cheek sheepishly while collecting thoughts. “It's just...I've been looking for a new job, it's stressful I guess..the guy I lo-," Markus paused and tried again, "my best friend..thinks my current one is to dangerous..even though I like it." Which mean he had to change jobs because he was not going to upset Jae.

Jae was his everything even if the redhead didn't know it.

Another round of gurgles from stomach and blues gave that puppy look to Seung. The man had a point though, he had been so caught up in making Jae happy now that they lived together it was hard to worry about himself. But-but that would get better when he finally got the nerve to ask Jae out! Then he would be babied and spoiled by the man more! It would be fantastic, it would be perfect! Or so he kept telling himself after every sacrifice.

Quote:
“Dangerous job...what is job now?” He asked ignoring the slip up the other made, for now anyway. Standing, stretching, he held a hand out to the other. Dark eyes searching the other's face as he waited to help the other up. “Pick food you want for lunch or I surprise you.” And depending on the others taste in food he might not like it. Seung was glad he was done with his own shopping, so he didn’t have to return to the mall later, he could spend the time after this helping the younger knight. He was going to do his best though right now to help him apply for a new job, eat, and talk to him - bond. This was all really not like him….but it seemed to be becoming so.

“Come on, let's get to job and then food. Cannot continue day without proper meal.” And he wasn’t going to allow that to take place till the job thing was dealt with, since they were here and it was important. “Then tell me about this love of yours.” Saying this in a rather off handed manner, a light smile in place. If the other remembered Markus would, or should, remember Seung was rather close….with Erebus - and not as friends. Admitting to such a thing was not about to bother the Korean native.

Quote:
Accepting the help up he smiled in a thanks before shifting from foot to foot nervously. He wasn’t sure about this but he didn’t have a choice now that Seung was here too huh? Yeah that was right, he had to do it now...heh. “I’m a pizza guy...but I work the night hours..” Which wasn’t as dangerous as Jae thought, mostly because Jae didn’t know he was a knight. But Seung did. “He just doesn’t like the late hours I think...it’s embarrassing.. That he still treats me like a kid.” He sighed and pushed a hand through his hair with a nod.

That was the problem though when you liked someone several years older than yourself.

“Surprise me,” Markus grinned a little deviously at the mention of lunch, not about to pick since he already felt guilty that Seung was buying. It was settled that he would turn in the application before food, Markus giving up on trying to get out of doing it. But as the other man asked about Jae the younger went red and scratched his cheek, “......well...I mean..” He smiled sheepishly and went to pull out his phone, holding out a picture of himself and a glasses wearing redhead older man. “...Do you think it’s stupid to fall in love with your best friend Seung, I mean...we’re both guys.”

Quote:
“Ahh, maybe wants night time to spend with you?” He offered with a light smile. It was an idea, especially if the other didn’t know Markus was a knight...and they weren’t a knight or senshi themself. For him and Terry it was easier - they went out to patrol together. Markus seemed to be unable to, as the other likely wasn’t powered like Markus was. And even though the darker skinned male was a knight the city was still not safe, something Seung knew very well by now.

“Alright, like spicy food?” He asked already thinking of food from his own home country, it was easier and safer...a comfort thing for him. It was something he knew and didn’t have to worry about, he knew what everything was and the menu was easy for him. American foods...he was working on that slowly.

“Is not stupid. First crush was best friend - back home. Never told him….can’t now. If you have not...you should - incase never can.” He did regret it at times, even though he was dating Terry. Even if things hadn’t lasted with Akihiko, or never even began, he’d have known and possibly even experienced dating the other. He had Terry now though...he had told the other even though they had only just began their friendship. It was worth it.

Quote:
“You think?” He sounded so hopeful it hurt, so eager to want to believe that Jae could want to spend time with him. Any time. Though it wasn’t as if they didn’t, it was more of when they did he felt like Jae’s little brother. Or bother rather...Jae was always trying to mother him. He didn’t need that which was why he was so stubbornly clinging to the idea of nights working. Jae would see he could hold his own.

The idea of spicy food came up and Markus nodded he didn’t mind spicy foods at all. “I could go for that, something to warm me up would be nice.” Warm food was always delicious as long as it wasn’t burn your mouth off and need a mango drink quality. That thought brought back a memory of first trying indian food with Jae. It was adorable to see the red head trying so hard to eat butter chicken and curry…

In case you never can…

Those words settled somehow harder now that he was a knight, now that danger was around every corner. Maybe he was right...Maybe he should tell Jae. B-but. “Its hard to tell people that kind of thing...I mean how do I even bring it up?” He sighed dramatically and ran a hand through his hair. Looking to his new friend and practicing, “ I mean. I can’t just go up and,” his hands landed on the other man's shoulders and he looked like a helpless pleading puppy as he imagined him as Jae, “ tell you how much I love you and admire you. That you are the smartest, kindest, most interesting person I’ve ever met. That I’ve loved you for nearly half my life...really since the day that I’ve met you. But I’m so scared you’ll hate me for ruining our friendship..that you’ll never think of me as more than the neighbor kid that tagged along with you...forced you to move in with him or he wouldn’t go to college and is practically like your second freaking brother.” Markus sighed and started to take a depressing turn with the heartfelt speech.

Quote:
“It would make sense...or is worried because city isn’t safe at night.” Showing that he cared about Markus. Either option seemed the most likely to Seung, though he could of course be wrong. “Best to talk to him about it - ask him?” He offered then. It was a risk to do so but sometimes risks were worth taking, as he’d learned.

Spicy, warm, food would be nice as it seemed the other needed it if his next words...his little speech wasn’t enough to go by.

Sighing he rested his hands on the others shoulders. “Don’t pan it, will make nervous tense air. But tell him you are attracted to men, see what he does. If is ok then tell him you have liked him - for long time. Tell him that he makes you feel more like little brother than friend...if it bothers much. Be honest though and say something - best to say than to never and have questions. Tell him other things, smart, admire, after confession and see how he reacts to confession. Was different for Terry and me...not same sort of confession.” No, because eh’d been snuggling up to the other and hugging him a lot, showing the other that he thought of him as a close friend. It was when Terry questioned him that he sort of shifted gears and realized that there was more there...and the confession came rather quickly.

Quote:
Seung was right...and he knew it. It just terrified him. Terrified him more than anything ever had, to think that he could lose Jae. To think that Jae would be disgusted if he told him he liked men, that he liked him. To have the one person he cared so deeply for look at him in disappointment and disgust. It would kill him..

He would give up and maybe that was what terrified him the most. To know that he wouldn’t live if it happened. Because he couldn’t.

On a soft smile and sigh he nodded, patting the other mans shoulders. “You’re right...I know I should..I will.” He promised softly, because eventually he would do it. He had to. “Let’s go eat, where ya thinking?” Markus tried to cheer up a bit, shift the topic back as he moved a touch away to look around the mall they were at.

Quote:
“Korean?” He offered while offering his hand to the other. He was glad the other would try and talk to this person, he would keep his fingers crossed for Markus and hope it went well. He knew what would happen though if he never said anything, he’d done that himself. He would always be happy with Terry, how could he not? But the what if’s would also always be there and haunt him at times. It was a ghost which he could silence but never completely put to rest, and he knew it. It was something he had created and he wasn't going to allow the younger to create for himself.

“Know good places for Korean food.” Of course he did. It was one of the first things he looked for when he moved to Destiny City - restaurants with familiar food.

Quote:
Markus turned down to look over the hand for a moment, unsure of what to do. Did he want to hold hands? For a second he blinked awkwardly then gave it a friendly sort of half high five. “Korean huh? I've never had it!” He was eager to try though and had no doubts the other knew of a fantastic place. “Lead the way!” A motion onward and he would follow after making some small talk and of course maybe curiously poking around about Terry. Because why not get some good inside information on relationships where he
could!?

Quote:
Taking hold of the other's hand he pulled the other to his side and smiled. “First time to try then.” There was a first time for everything, though he didn’t follow his own advice, he would enjoy treating the other to Korean food for the first time. “Think you will like if spice is ok.” Korean food was known to be spicy, though he did wonder if Chinese might have more spice, as he’d heard there food was pretty hot also when it wanted to be.

Knowing where they would be going he set off to treat the other to a good meal, not knowing he’d be answering all kinds of questions as well - not that he’d mind.
