Cassian hummed as he bounced about the kitchen - his kitchen - sliding the tray he'd been working on into the oven with a sigh. Temperature double checked and timer set, he settled himself onto the counter, kicking his legs off the side as he pulled out his phone. It was time for Twitter.A few pictures of various foods were posted here with small updates, with a final post of His most popular videos. The Bad Food. It was unfortunately popular, but he'd live, he guessed. Still, he watched the small handful of 'likes' roll in and continued on down the feed idly, waiting to see if anything caught his attention as he waited on the oven timer.

All in all, Leonora had no idea what to expect. Some of her younger co-workers had talked her into trying Twitter. She didn't fully understand the concept of it, but she had followed a few strangers and eventually tweeted back and forth with someone that posted themselves cooking. Of course, Leonora had shared pictures of her creations and lo and behold, she got invited to be guest!
It was an exciting yet nerve-wracking idea. As much as she liked cooking and sharing her food, Leonora had never been video recorded, not to mention never posting it on Youtube and the likes. Hopefully, the other person's fame would hold it up for the both of them.
Leonora knocked on the door of the address they were to meet at. She had brought a couple of bottles of cooking wine, a couple for savory and one for sweet. The person she was meeting up with today seemed younger than her, but they didn't have to drink it. She could do all that... and the handling of the alcohol.
"Hello? It's Leonora from Twitter. We had talked about this a few days ago...?"

"Cassian, go get the door - if it's for me just hollar." Eli Norris called to his son, who was bustling about the kitchen and setting up his usual 'tools' of the trade. Cassian had been pulling a brown-paper-wrapped cut of meat out of the refrigerator when the knock on the door came. He came bouncing down the stairs, just a ball of energy and opened the door with a wide grin. Blue eyes looked between Leonora's face and then the bottles in her hands and understanding was immediate. He nodded. "Of course! I was just getting the kitchen prepped for today, it's nice to meet you!" Cassian offered her a hand, then paused and looked at the bottles, "Need me to take those for you? I can leave them in the fridge for the time being until we need to use them." He stepped back from the door and up one step on the stairs to open up the landing of the split-entry house for Leonora to step in. "We usually take shoes off, but if you want to keep them on, that's fine. Kitchen is just at the top of the stairs."

Leonora felt like she should have been at least a little surprised at how young he looked, but she knew that technology users seemed to get younger and younger. As a girl, there wasn't too much for her to use in terms of technology. Whatever was fancy was too expensive to buy as a average citizen. Boy, did she feel old sometimes...
"It's my pleasure, Cassian." she told him as she took off her shoes and pushed them to the side with her foot. "Thank you very much for having me today. I can take the wine up though." Although a fellow cook, she wasn't sure how strict the household was with alcoholic beverages.
As she approached the top of the stairs and saw a kitchen and another man there, Leonora couldn't help but feel a little relieved. "That must be the father," she thought to herself. "May I store these in fridge if there's space. It's also a thank you to Cassian for inviting me today. He's probably not ready to drink them, but cooking with them is always fun!"
She turned towards Cassian again. "What will we be making today? I'm not really sure how this recording stuff works, but I'm a great cook! Well, dishes with alcohol are my specialty!"

Eli Norris sat in the dining room opposite of the kitchen, a laptop and several documents spread out across the table. He'd pick one up, mutter something underneath his breath, and then type it into the computer. He looked up when Leonora spoke to him, holding up a hand in greeting. "Hello! I'm sure Cassian can find you a spot in the fridge for those. I'm not sure if a cop will bust in through the wall if we let him here. It was less strict back home." Cassian looked up to Leonora with another smile. "We're from Greece," he explained. Eli nodded. "I'll just..be..." he looked over a document, then continued his typing, "Translating this document but I'll be here if you need me." Cassian nearly climbed into the fridge as he moved things around, pulling out a few more gingerly wrapped packages and setting them on the counter next to the first one. While not wrapped in paper, these were clearly labelled with types of vegetables. "I'm a little bit of a fridge micro-manager at times, but with my prepped portions for today, riight..." he motioned to one of the shelves on the inside of the door, "there should be fine for those bottles." "We could do a boeuf à la Bourguignonne," Cassian paused and looked towards his father as he pronounced the words and Eli slowly gave him a thumbs up (clearly there was a linguist in the house) before he looked back to Leonora with a smile, "which would be a good use of red wine."

Leonora nodded and smiled at the father's mentioning of them being less strict. As long as she didn't step on anyone's toes, it didn't matter to her. Well, minus the police. If this were to be posted for the world to see, maybe she should be the one handling the alcohol. They should figure that out later.
She watched as Cassian shuffled things in the fridge. Everything was clearly labeled and at least seemingly easy to find. "That's wonderful, actually. I'm not the neatest person... At home I guess you can call my stuff organized chaos? I can find what I'm looking for, but if someone else tried... Probably wouldn't work." She laughed as she put the first bottles in the fridge, lying them down on their sides.
When Cassian mentioned boeuf à la Bourguignonne, Leonora's excitement grew again. "Ohh! Here try this one!" She still had one more bottle in her hand, a nice red wine that she enjoyed drinking and cooking with. She handed it to Cassian for him to take a look at. "Let see if you and your dad would like to make it with this. It's one of my favorites. Never cook with what you don't drink, right?"
Leonora wasn't sure how used to wines Cassian was, but it would at least be fun to see how they felt about it.

"Well, I need to micromanage because I usually have plans for everything and when I'm also doing prep and instruction for other people, I don't want to waste my time with extra shopping trips. It's...it's a thing..." He had 5 people he did meal prep and recipe planning for, baked sweets for a shop in the mall and then did these videos. It was a wonder he had time for school at all. "Dad won't be helping. He just works from home," Cassian said as he took the bottle, reading the label before peeling off the foil from around the top. He peered at the cork and with an memorization that was likely only because of his own nitpicking fished out a corkscrew and pulled the cork from the bottle. A few glasses were pulled from a cabinet and Cassian poured only enough for probably a full taste into each. He offered one to both Eli and Leonora before drinking the third. No cops burst in through the wall, at least. "That has a good body to it. I think that'll be great for this." he nodded. Eli hadn't even touched his, still looking between documents quietly. Cassian just laughed. "But I'll let you show off your skills with that a bit more so we don't make cops break in the wall."

"That's definitely a good habit to have! The only thing I usually do is a shopping list." Leonora usually stopped by the store and bought what she needed for a few days. "I'm alone at home so I usually cook once every few days so I have pre-made lunches and extra dinners. Pretty boring unless I feel like making a tasty dessert."
Leonora glanced at Cassian's father before looking back at Cassian. "Well, he makes a good taste tester, right?" She watched as Cassian uncorked and poured the wine into three glasses. The taste of the wine was a familiar one, but Leonora still savored the sip she received. When Cassian gave her his assessment, Leonora was pleased. She was glad that there were some people that appreciated wine, especially at his age.
She couldn't help but laugh. The police breaking down the wall was unlikely, but she did have a professional license, which was what she was more afraid of losing than anything. Sometimes, the internet felt like it was working against people rather than helping. Leonora knew of new doctors that had lost their ability to practice in the state due to alcohol.
"Okay... Talk me through how you plan to record all of this? I have to admit, I may or may not be a bit camera-shy... I've never really done this?" Leonora scratched her head. She was fine with people, but being recorded was... weird to her.

"True! Have to at least feed dad a bit so he doesn't just keel over," Cassian looked towards his father as he said this. Eli Norris didn't even look up and just 'Mmhmmm'd blindly in reply. Cassian leaned over the counter and tapped a camera-microphone set up. If she knew anything about the technology, it was at least a pretty pricey set-up. Nicer than his initial 'hi, my laptop is sitting on the counter' from three years prior. Oh how things changed. "We'll record on this. If you don't want to perform to the camera, that's fine! You can just appeal to me and I'll ham it up a little bit extra." he said with a smile. "Most of it will be focusing on what we're doing. I'll move the camera a few times - so it can focus on hands and techniques as well as watch how we handle things in a pot..." which on the note of, he again returned to his cabinet fishing in order to pull out a rather large one.

"Oh mostly hands! That makes it a lot easier for me." Leonora could make weird faces as she concentrated and cooked without worrying about who was seeing them. "I can do all that part. Maybe at least say hi on the camera?" She was an adult and didn't really understand why she couldn't just suck it up. Not like she didn't deal with people on a daily basis anyways.
Leonora admired the camera set up from afar. It was most likely just the technology the world revolved around now. She just didn't grow up with it.
She went over to the sink and washed her hands with warm water and soap. Whatever was going to happen next. "Okay, just tell me what to do and I'll follow!" Leonora knew the cooking process, but didn't want to bump heads or space with Cassian.
