The meeting spot had been carefully selected; far enough from the activity buzzing around the hives that their conversation would be inaudible, but close enough that they were within eyeshot of the others. A little healthy skepticism never hurt anybody. While she had, for the most part, utmost faith in Vremea's recruitments, Byakko also found it both puzzling and intriguing that Rianon had asked for a direct audience with her so soon. It was far from impudent, far from suspect- it was simply hard for the mutantblood to shake her cynical nature.
Regardless, her interest was piqued and the request was complied with, as it would have been for any other member of the Initiative.
Behind the cover of the thick swamp trees above, Byakko peered down at the greenblood. She waited and watched, biding her time, clinging to the trunk of her vantage point like some kind of animal.
When she had deemed it had been long enough and that the girl wasn't doing anything of particular interest, some time after Rianon had settled down, Akko scaled down the opposite side of the tree. She made a point to sneak some distance away before circling back to return at another break in the trees.
She waited until she was closer to Rianon to greet her.
"Hello." Her tone, as usual, was flat. Her posture was what spoke volumes; like a predator, confident in every movement. Unblinking eye contact, almost unnervingly so. There was a lull in her greeting, taking a moment to study Rianon up close. Akko regarded her with extreme curiosity.
"We haven't had the chance to introduce ourselves." Well, they knew of each other. Were introductions necessary? She was never very good at this sort of stuff. Whatever.
"I'm Byakko Mawiya." a loose hand gestured to the pink symbol across her top.
"I've been told you had some things you wished to discuss with me." Straight to the point. There were
some things she was good at talking about.
