D B D C - K I - & - S T A M I N A - G U I D E

Ki (気 "Ki", lit. "Spirit" ), also known as chi/qi, Yōki (妖気) or simply energy (エネルギー enerugī), is the life force energy used by Dragon Ball characters

This force is a tangible energy inside every living being, with its major focus being in the center of the body. By drawing it out, an individual is able to manipulate it and use it outside the body. Ki can be used for many different techniques. Because there are physical limits to the strength of the body itself, it is necessary to increase one's ki to overcome this barrier and become stronger. Usually, the more concentrated the masses are, the more time the user requires to draw it out by powering up. When fighters gather ki, they are able to gain enhanced strength, speed, endurance, and can increase the power of their attacks to inflict greater damage to opponents. Normally, the more the ki is increased, the harder it is to control, so ki control is also important. Energy can be lost when the user sustains injuries

          _ A l l _ A b o u t _ K i
          ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
          XXX。。。AURA
Auras of ki radiate from the user when increasing the concentration of it inside their body. Warriors (excluding Androids) have a limit to the ki that their bodies can withstand, but the capacity for ki can be increased through mental and physical training. Some techniques (such as the Kaio-ken) rapidly increase the concentration of ki in the body, enabling the user to fight at a strength level that far exceeds their regular limits for a limited period of time. Auras can displace solid matter

          XXX。。。TYPES
[ Regular Ki ] A type of ki that is used by anyone that holds no evil intentions. It is also called Genki (the same as the component listed before). Some techniques need Good ki to work, as the Spirit Bomb. The appearance of this type of ki is usually a white aura around the user. Some techniques and transformations such as Super Saiyan, Kaioken, Ultra Instinct -Sign- or Ultimate Evolution can change the appearance of this type of ki. All kinds of mortals possess this type of Ki in the form of KP.

[ Godly Ki ] A special type of ki used by godly beings. Godly ki is far superior to regular ki as it is far more potent, however, a large enough amount of regular ki can outmatch a Godly ki user as in the case of Jiren. The appearance is different depending on the user. Divine beings regardless of status and mortals who learned how to access this type of Ki, possess it in the form of GP.
XXXXX[ God of Destruction ki ] Gods of Destruction have a special type of Godly ki fueled by their own Energy of Destruction. The appearance is that of purple aura outlining the user.

          XXX。。。KI CONTROL
By gaining perfect control over their ki and thus stopping any of it from leaking out of their body, a fighter is shown to be able to become exponentially more powerful. When Vegeta attained perfect ki control by training with Whis he caught up to Goku's power - who had merged with the power of Super Saiyan God - and managed to move when inside a field of godly ki when he was unable to when not perfectly controlling his ki. Through training in the Forest of Terror, Krillin also managed to attain perfect ki control and "rose above himself", gaining greater strength

The strongest Super Saiyan form Super Saiyan Blue, while mostly consisting of godly ki, relies heavily on ki control to achieve. Goku and Vegeta are able to freely lower or increase their power in their Blue forms as long as they are relaxed, and forms such as the Kaio-Ken are able to be combined with the form with no trouble

          XXX。。。KI REDUCTION
Every energy-based technique revolves around ki. The more techniques you use, the less ki you'll have for combat. Two sides of the same coin really. Of course if you charge your technique long enough for a more 'destructive' result, that'll be more energy you will be using up as well

          XXX。。。KI RECOVERY
          Ki, as well as stamina can be recovered. Also, there are more than one way of doing so. The list goes as follows;

[ Charging Up ] One of the best things about ki recovery that separates itself from stamina is that you can manually bring it back even within battle by charging it up. Though be very careful about using it in combat with another because it can very much leave you wide open for an attack. Each post of charging up will regain 50 points in Ki

[ Sleeping ] Because its your physical body that needs to be recharged, another method is to gain the proper amount of sleep. Sleeping is the best way to recover ki. Recovers pretty quickly, recovering 30 ki points every paragraph asleep.

[ Absorption ] Very interesting method. At times you may need the assistance of another for ki. Though for some people; more likely, Saiyans will refuse to lend some ki to you so just be careful about that as well. Absorption will recover 30 ki points per post of someone else providing you ki or energy.

          XXX。。。KI / ENERGY CLASH STRUGGLE
The Energy Clash is a situation in which two energy-based techniques collide and compete to consume one another and proceed to their targets

          XXXXXHow To Win ::
.../1... Select "Post Action" in your reply.

          .../2... Select "Roll Dice" & "10-sided Die"

.../3... Type in "1" in the box where asked for "Number of Dice."

.../4... Add the number give to your total Energy-Based Offense Stat points. [EX: rolled 6 and Energy-Based Offense stat point is 24 :: 6+24 = 30!]

.../5... If your total number is greater than your opponent, you win the beam struggle! // If your number is lower than your opponent, you lose the struggle! Damage is doubled to the loser. // // If both fighters have the same number, the clash will combust thus cancelling the struggle!

          XXX。。。BASE KI POOL BY RACE
In order to keep track of how much ki you have left, you'll need an official energy or ki pool. This pool is your collective amount of ki for your character. This pool can gradually get larger and more effective as you train and get stronger. Each race will start with a base pool points. Each time you use an energy-based technique, points will be taken away from your pool guide until you recover them back.

Stamina determines how far you'll go in combat from a physical standpoint before having to recharge. The more you have, the longer you can maintain. The lower, the less likely you'll be able to stand up against your opponent

          XXX。。。STAMINA COST REDUCTION
Like how energy techniques affect your ki, physical techniques affect your stamina. However, some physical techniques may require more stamina than others so do keep that in mind.

          XXX。。。RECOVERY
In order to recover stamina that has been lost, you may follow these 3 simple ways in doing so

[ Meditation ] One must be completely still to regain your stamina. Ever meditation posts recovers 15 points in your stamina pool.

[ Sleeping ] Because its your physical body that needs to be recharged, another method is to gain the proper amount of sleep. Sleeping is the best way to recover stamina as your body rests your stamina pool is the main focus and recovers much quicker doubling that like meditation recovering 30 stamina points every paragraph asleep.

[ Eating ] Probably the most fun way to recovering stamina. But like how regular beings, eating the right foods and consuming the proper fluids will recover stamina. Each paragraph of proper food and fluids will recover 15 points in stamina.

          XXX。。。STRIKE CLASH STRUGGLE
The Strike Clash is a situation in which two fighters collide in a rapid brawl and compete to consume one another and proceed to their targets

.../5... If your total number is greater than your opponent, you win the beam struggle! // If your number is lower than your opponent, you lose the struggle! // If both fighters have the same number, the clash is cancelled!

          XXX。。。BASE STAMINA POOL BY RACE
In order to keep track of how much stamina you have left, you'll need an official stamina pool. This pool is your collective amount of physical energy for your character. This pool can gradually get larger and more effective as you train and get stronger. Each race will start with a base pool points. Each time you use an physical-based technique or get into a fight and take damage, points will be taken away from your pool guide until you recover them back.

          ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Health, as it sounds determines how long your character can last overall. Obviously, if you possess low health then its likely you will die sooner rather than later. Keep in mind there are ways to raise one's HP Pool but same rules apply.

[ Special Note ] If a character's HP reverts to 0 exactly, then that character will be knocked out of the fight until that character can regain Health. However, If a character's HP reverts pass 0 by calculations via a technique, that character will without a doubt die in battle.

[ Special Note ] If a character's HP Pool reaches up to 25% of their overall total pool, then that character would be in their 'Near-Death State'

          XXX。。。RECOVERY
In order to recover health that has been lost, you may follow these 3 simple ways in doing so

[ Senzu Beans ] Senzu Beans do exist in this universe of DBDC. However, because they are so rare and scarce, coming across even one isn't likely to happen all the time. However, if a character does come across one and eat it; that character's Health, Stamina and Ki Pool will be replenished to its max. In RP, the effects of the bean will happen in that character's next post.
-[ Mandatory Note ] Each universe is limited to 10 Senzu Beans per story arc.

[ Sleeping ] Because its your physical body that needs to be recharged, another method is to gain the proper amount of sleep. Sleeping is the best way to recover stamina as your body rests your health pool is the main focus and recovers much quicker doubling that like meditation recovering 30 health points every paragraph asleep.

[ Eating ] Probably the most fun way to recovering stamina. But like how regular beings, eating the right foods and consuming the proper fluids will recover stamina. Each paragraph of proper food and fluids will recover 20 points in health.

[ Special Items ] It is possible for a character to take and/or inject special items or tools that may result in the character to regain health even in battle. However, these items must be created and approved in the Creation Station - Custom Tools / Equipment

          XXX。。。BASE HEALTH POOL BY RACE
In order to keep track of how much health you have left in combat, you have to have your own reservoir of health. Each character based on what race they are, will start out with a base set of HP.

[ Special Note ] Your character's HP can raise higher dependent on how many stats your character possesses in the area of Defense and Stamina. These will be your HP bonuses. Following the same flow as the Ki & Stamina Pool, the sum of both your character's Defense and Stamina stat, then multiplied by 10 will be added to your HP base which will result in your character's total HP. The higher those stats are, the more your HP will grow.

[ Special Note ] In regards to characters who are Hybrids. Aside from the stat bonus, that character will start off with the sum total of HALF of the both races that character belongs too.

D B : D C - F I G H T I N G - G U I D E

This guide will covers fights utilizing techniques and fights in regards to hand-to-hand combat. This guide is universal for all races and sub-classes.

          Fighting Hand-To-Hand
          ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
When characters get into a fight with each other, the fight will play out dependent on each character's stats.

          XXX。。。ATTACKING CONFIGURATIONS
As stated with the prior knowledge, these close-combat fights will be reflected off of the character's stats. Because it is primarily hand-to-hand combat, the amount in your Physical-Based Offense stat is how much damage you deal. If you get struck by an attack, it will be reflected off of your character's Health Pool.

If your character is in a transformed or powered up state that increases one's stats (e.g. Kaioken) the amount of damage you deal is equated to the heightened stats.

          Speed Inducement
If your character doesn't have much power in their Physical-Based Offense stat, but their Speed stat exceeds the latter, then HALF of their speed stat is added to the attacking character's Physical-Based Offense stat.

          Faulty Attacks
If the attacking character goes toe-to-toe with another character whose Defense stats is higher than the attacker, then obviously the attacker's hits will not be as effective as one would think. To reflect this, if your attacker's physical-based Offense stat is lesser than the defender's Defense Stat, then the amount of damage the attacker will deal is HALVED.
          [ Example ] Attacker's Physical-Based Offense stat = 24 // Defender's Defense stat = 30+ // Faulty Attack is halved

The defender takes a faulty strike from the attacker. Half of 24 is 12 // Defender's Health pool decreases by 12 points instead of 24

          XXX。。。DEFENDING CONFIGURATIONS
When it comes to defending ones self in a fight, the costs lost is similar with 'Fighting With Techniques.' However, the biggest difference here is that the amount of your Defense-stat can either help or hurt your greatly.

In terms of defending, the amount of Stamina the defender loses is the difference between the attacker's Physical-Based Offense stat and the Defender's Defense stat.
          [ Example ] Attacker's Physical-Based Offense stat = 24 // Defender's Defense stat = 15

          Defender take a strike from the attacker. ( 24-15 = 9 ) // Defender's Stamina pool decreases by 9 points.

          Blocking
In terms of defending with blocks, the amount of Stamina the defender loses is half of the difference between the attacker's Physical-Based Offense stat and the Defender's Defense stat.
          [ Example ] Attacker's Physical-Based Offense stat = 40 // Defender's Defense stat = 20 // Blocking is halved

          Defender blocks a strike from the attacker. (40-20 = 20 ) // Half of 20 is 10 // Defender's Stamina pool decreases by 10 points.

          Fighting With Techniques
          ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
In our guild, techniques are separated by physical, energy, speed&movement in either an offensive/defensive/supportive role. Originally we have a basic and advanced application. Though we will dive deeper into this. Below shows the automatic costs when utilizing a technique against someone.

          XXX。。。TIER COSTS

Each tier of technique costs a different amount of Ki or Stamina to use. Obviously the more powerful the technique, the more it’s going to take to use. The cost of each Tier works on a Base 15, meaning you take the tier, and multiply it by 15. For example, a tier 5 tech will cost 75, while a tier 3 tech will cost 45.

[ Special Note - Transformations ] These are default costs set to a character's base form/state. If a character per-say undergoes a transformation, the costs will remain the same however the amount of damage dealt would be increased based on what the transformations state it to be. If a technique were to be charged before executing against your opponent, your cost will increase by an extra 10 points to the specific pool

( Example: Saiyan Base uses an energy attack and it costs 40 KP. If saiyan transforms into a super saiyan and uses the same attack; attack costs stays at 40 KP but the amount that would be dealt to the target 80 KP if it were head on )

[ Special Note - Power Ups ] If a character per-say undergoes a power-up, the same rules will apply

          XXX。。。TIER DAMAGE

Each tier of technique will have base damage associated with it. These are all static numbers and add to your applicable offense/defense skill.

          Tier 1: 10
          Tier 2: 15
          Tier 3: 30
          Tier 4: 50
          Tier 5: 75
          Tier 6: 200
          Tier 7: 275
          Tier 8: 350
          Tier 9: 425
          Tier 10: 500

          XXX。。。GETTING HIT BY A TECHNIQUE
If you manage to get hit by a technique whether its full on or by a bit of it, or even used your own technique to reduce damage, you lose a certain amount of HP based on the cost of the technique itself.

          Full-On Hit
If hit completely, you lose the EXACT amount paid by the user who casts the technique that hit you in addition to the amount of the user's Offensive(Physical/Energy) Stat. (Lost HP)

          Got Hit But Not Full-On
If you manage to get grazed, hit by some of it, you lose HALF the amount paid by the user who casts the technique that hit you in addition to the amount of the user's Offensive (Physical/Energy) Stat.. (Lose HP)

          Got Hit But Blocked
If you manage to get hit by a technique but you put up a physical guard and blocked it, the amount of HP lost is the total amount of the difference between the casters combined technique cost and Energy-Based Offensive Stat with your Defense Stat. (Lose HP)

          Damage Reduction
If applying a technique to reduce the damage of being hit, you lose the amount that your technique states you to lose. For example, if you cast a technique that shields you of an opposing technique that reduces the amount taken by a fraction or percentage, it could be half, third, fourth, whatever it says to take, you'll take the amount paid by the user who casts the technique that hit you. Majority of these techniques may revolve from Custom Technique so if you need to know more, seek the Creation Station where those techniques got approved or seek the owner of that technique and figure out how much needs to be taken. (Lose HP)

          B. P. Scaling Influence
          ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Sometimes when you get in a fight, you are going to be significantly stronger (or weaker) than an opponent. When that happens, the stronger fighter will need to do some calculations for their damage to the weaker fighter. When it comes to the stronger fighter, they will take their BP and divide it by the weaker individual's BP. This will get you your modifier.

[ Base/Normal State Example ] Fighter 1 has 50000 BP and Fighter 2 has 2500 BP. 50000 divided by 2500 is 20. You will add this modifier to your damage and becomes the total amount of damage you deal.

[ Transformation Example ] Fighter 1 has 50000 BP and Fighter 2 has 2500 BP. 50000 divided by 2500 is 20. You will add this modifier to your damage and becomes the total amount of damage you deal. You will add this modifier to your damage before any multiplication is done from your transformation. Thus increasing your amount of damage dealing even further!

          [ Technique Example ] Fighter 1 has 50000 BP and Fighter 2 has 2500 BP. 50000 divided by 2500 is 20.

Technique Cost of 30 is added to a Physical Offense of 24 for a total of 54. Take the 20 from before and add it to the 54 for a total of 74. The 74 would be your new base damage before transformation multiplication.

          Dodging Mechanics
          ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Dodging may, in theory, sound extremely simple however in terms of configuring with numbers, it can be a bit tricky! Luckily, we've decided to take a crack at it AND make it as simple as possible.

          When it comes to dodging, it has been broken down between your opponent(s) total in Attack and your total in Reflexes you want to follow this formula;

[ Formula ] Opponents Total Attack Damage vs Your Total [Speed] & [Reflexes].

Simple right?! Maybe a bit too simple, a lot of the times this may not be the case and you probably have allocated your character to where it is designed either starting out or late in the game to be a tanker or an attacking focused but who can dodge every now and then. Don't worry we took you guys into consideration as well. For these type of instances, you will be undergoing the Dice Roll Action

          XXXXXHow To DIce Roll ::
.../1... Select "Post Action" in your reply.

          .../2... Select "Roll Dice" & "10-sided Die"

.../3... Type in "2" in the box where asked for "Number of Dice."

.../4... Add both numbers give to your Defense total ( Speed & Reflexes Stat points ) [EX: Yout total defense is 16 and you rolled 6 and 4. Your new total becomes 26!]

.../5... If your total number is greater than your opponent, you win and have successfully dodged the attack! // If your number is lower than your opponent, you lose the struggle and you take full damage equal to your opponent's total attack.// If both fighters have the same number, it is a tie! Narratively you have guarded most but still, have to take damage. So the difference in between both total numbers will come out of your HP!

          Fighting Phases
          ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
When your character engages in a fight with another, every participant must undergo three total phases. This is set up to prevent characters from providing more than one action at a time to the point it becomes god-mod.

          .../1... Attacking Phase
          .../2... Defending Phase
          .../3... Passive Phase

          XXX。。。ATTACKING PHASE
The attacking phase is where your character's offense is posted. Anything that involves initiating damage of any kind to your opponent whether it be in hand-to-hand, weapons, spells, etc... Every character is permitted 1 kind of attacking action.

There are times where a character may perform more than 1 attacking action causing a CHAIN. If this would be the case, the attacking character may be allowed to have more perform a chain as long as the defending character may cancel the chain with either blocking, guarding, or any form of defending the first action. You may also have a private conversation with the other member if you plan on having the fight go in a particular manner.

          XXX。。。DEFENDING PHASE
The defending phase allows your character to attempt any form of defenses. Guarding, Defensive spells, dodging, etc... Normally, with 1 attacking option, you are given 1 defending option. Unless spoken with the other participant may defending more than once apply.

          XXX。。。PASSIVE PHASE
The passive phase is your setup phase. When your character is not defending or attacking, they will automatically be in this phase. Here your character is free to do whatever within the fight that doesn't allow god-modding to occur. Examples of this phase are setups, action planning, noticing outside sources, extra reactions to other actions, etc... Normally you are allowed 1 option, however as long as it narratively makes sense and it is fair to the other participant(s) you may provide more than one action in this phase.

          XXX。。。FIGHT RULINGS
These rulings are for all fights in this guild.

[ 1 ] You can initiate an actual fight with someone who's Power Scaling is below yours. Killing a character who's Power Scaling is below yours is forbidden (This is only disregarded for the sake of a storyline which will be allowed by the Guild Captain (Eighth Diviner).)
[ 2 ] Fights and Spars must be cordial amongst all members participating. Meaning the results of the fight has to be known and agreed on those who are in agreement, this prevents way of godmod or unfair play
[ 3 ] Godmodding is excruciatingly prohibited and will be held accountable up to guild removal if the action has happened.
[ 4 ] Respect all the members participating in fights
[ 5 ] When fighting, please list out your action phases in some OOC section for the viewers and other fighting participants. It may be clear as you wrote it in RP but it becomes much faster progress with number configuration through an OOC list.
[ 6 ] Fighting phases will NOT ALWAYS be in order and skipping phases are allowed if desired.
          [ 7 ] Have Fun!
