The Markov family is a new-money pureblood family from Russia, except this particular branch is focused on Anton Markov and his wife Remedios who also came from a rich pureblood family from Argentina. The two were both traveling artists and their career was exactly how they met in the first place. This family is pretty much open-minded, though Anton's family and relatives in Russia beg to differ. Anton didn't care, he hated their snobbish arses, anyway.
Anton and Remedios are currently living in Co. Louth, Ireland. The siblings Vasilisa and Gregorio moved together to Galway with the latter's son Lucien.
▶ CALM — It's hard for Vasilisa to lose her temper, only being snarky when feeling irritated. She believes that she cannot always control everything around her, and thus only does her thing to cement where she wanted it to go. Vasilisa doesn't see the point of losing a temper and letting emotions take the wheel in her actions, slightly disapproving of people who did not control their impulse.
▶ RESILIENT — Surprisingly, Vasilisa is capable of jumping back to her feet after one tragedy to another. While it was true that she does give herself time to grieve for a while, her logical outlook makes their believe that it will not do her good if she dwells on it. However, this makes Vasilisa a bit miffed to people who weren't as lucky and resilient as her.
▶ LOGICAL — Vasilisa leans more on the logical side of intelligence, granting her a pragmatic view of the things around her. While she was never pessimistic in the first place, she at least can admit that some bad things were going to happen- but she would also like to be a bit hopeful that things will work out well for her and the people around. Acknowledging bad things was one thing, but Vasilisa wasn't a cynic people see her to be.
▶ FAMILY-ORIENTED — Family is very important for Vasilisa, and thus she is fiercely protective to her younger siblings. On the other hand, she believes that a close-knitted group is considered family as well- even if they weren't blood-related in the slightest. However, she won't take it well had any of them being under harm. Also, Vasilisa is the type to take people under her wing and would fight whoever comes to them.
▶ SARCASTIC — Vasilisa is normally willing to socialize with people with no problem, just that she has a sarcastic tongue to boot. Sometimes, she uses it to express her displeasure to people and unfortunate events. Sometimes, Vasilisa uses it just for the sake of humor depending on the situation. However, some people had to do a double whether she meant it literally or was just being sarcastic.

▶ CHILDHOOD — Vasilisa is the eldest child to a Russian father Anton Markov and an Argentine mother Remedios Calderon, both were traveling artists and met while in a Wizarding Art Exhibit in St. Petersburg, Russia. They married after two years of dating and they settled in Carlingford: a small peaceful village in Ireland. Vasilisa has three younger siblings: Gregori, Lucena, and Dimitri. Gregori was a valiant child who loved to craft things, Lucena was pretty much like Vasilisa but more tempered, whereas Dimitri was simply a quiet individual who was inspired to be a comic book artist. While lacking contact to muggle culture, they have a good childhood overall.
▶ SCHOOL LIFE — After debating whether Vasilisa should go to Hogwarts, Castelobruxo, or Durmstrang, she ended up studying in Hogwarts and was sorted to Ravenclaw due to her logical outlook- though the Sorting can admit that she could work well in Slytherin as well. Vasilisa didn't care, because she was happy in her sorting and met alot of friends while realizing how she loved crafting things such as potionmaking and wandlore... even if she hasn't ever crafted a wand in her school years. Eventually, Gregori was sorted to Ravenclaw; Lucena went to Gryffindor; and Dimitri went to Hufflepuff. Regardless of the house differences, they were close-knitted as ever.
Though after her seventh year and Gregori's sixth, the latter foolishly made his girlfriend in Vasilisa's year pregnant. Of course, Vasilisa was angry and chewed Gregori out for that. Eventually in Gregori's seventh year, a baby was dropped in the Markov family's doorstep and the letter said that it was Gregori and his girlfriend Samantha's child, except the latter didn't want to raise the baby boy as it will "bring her shame to her old pureblood name". The whole Markov family was understandable pissed at both Samantha and Gregori, so the latter decided to own up his actions and raise his son Lucien whenever he can. Fortunately, his family decided to help out, especially his parents and Vasilisa.
▶ POST-GRADUATION — Vasilisa graduated Hogwarts with no problem, immediately applying to be a Potion Mistress and an assistant to a Potioneer who was an entrepreneur for medical potions. Life was fine and dandy until at age nineteen, she up and decided to do some night camping. Little did she knew that there were wolves in the area, and there a big wolf decided to attack her- Vasilisa could have died had another wolf intervened and saved her. She was alive, which she was thankful for, and Vasilisa was taken care of a man named Meuric Rhydderch. It turned out that the wolf who attack her wasn't just some aggressive wolf, it was a werewolf. So many things happened after that, but it ended up with her packmate Lock killing the former alpha who was also the same person who turned her.
A few months later after her recovery, Vasilisa came home only to find out that her parents were being worried about her sudden disappearance. She didn't tell her family about her condition however, all except for her closest brother Gregori for she trusted him the most due to his understanding personality. Gregori was shocked at first, but eventually accepted her with his understanding that it was never his sister's fault of why she became a werewolf. Vasilisa was relieved to hear at least one family member not hating her for being one, but then she had to since Gregori and she lived under one roof with Lucien. Eventually, she warmed up with her packmates, even if Vasilisa didn't always agree with Lock's grumpy attitude, but he was overall okay.
At age 22, Vasilisa decided to take apprenticeship in Ollivanders' Hogsmeade Branch and it took three years before she applied to be a wandmaker. But while she was under apprenticeship, Vasilisa was hanging out with her packmates in a forest when a woman was wandering in the forest and Lock, who never took Wolfsbane potion, attacked the woman. Because Vasilisa didn't want the girl to end up dying, she decided to save the stranger before things get worse. That woman who was apparently named Andrea was mad at Vasilisa at first, except the latter didn't care and won't feel the need of apologizing now that Andrea eventually embraced being a werewolf.

▶ CAUTIOUSLY OPTIMISTIC — Lucien is a optimist who pretty much works hard and hopes for the best results. He sees things in a practical way and does his thing to prepare for things when warned about. On the other hand, Lucien is quite considerate of the downsides and takes it as a caution sign to do something less dumb. He, after all, doesn't believe in dwelling and being stuck as a result.
▶ EXTROVERTED — Lucien is one of those calm, friendly, and affectionate extroverts, even though he does get occasionally awkward. Either way, Lucien likes to be with company and gets easily bored when being alone. Thankfully, his diplomatic skills had made socializing easier for him and the people around, but Lucien is observant enough about who he is dealing with.
▶ SELF-CONTROLLED — Lucien, with his calm demeanor, is capable of keeping his feelings and harsh opinions on check. The reason he did so was because Lucien believed that being careless and spontaneous will only get him to trouble at worst, so why risk when there were other ways? While this served him well and rarely cause chaos to start with, it made Lucien a bit secretive to what he really felt and resort to passive-aggressiveness. Then again, just because he has composure doesn't mean he's calm.
▶ DIPLOMAT — Lucien deals with things in a diplomatic way, meaning that he considers what people would think and planning how to deal with it. He gives himself some time to think, analyzing the things around him that it makes him a very perceptive yet time-consuming thinker. But, when he failed to do something, Lucien will get miffed then try to move on from it depending on the situation. On the other hand, give had given him some doubts to his choices, and other people's choices as well.
▶ MATURE — While he isn't above being a kid sometimes, Lucien took something his father didn't used to have in his younger years: being mature and responsible. Being raised to not be like his father in his younger years, Lucien is good at taking responsibility and knowing what he was doing. ▶ CHILDHOOD — Lucien is a baby of teen pregnancy, back when his father was only a sixth year being a charmer. His father Gregori was a Ravenclaw not for his logical thinking, but for his creativity and conceptual outlook. Gregori fell in love with his sweetheart Samantha Durante during his time at school, and they were head-over-heels towards each other thinking that they were meant to be. He loved her because she was kind and sweet, Samantha loved him because while he was charming, he is a pureblood that her family would likely accept. That was until they did something reckless that made Samantha pregnant that forced her to hide from her parents until she had given birth to a baby boy, leaving her to decide if she wanted to raise the kid and get disowned from family wealth- or give the baby to Gregori and start a new life. She chose the latter, and a few weeks later she left the baby to Gregori's family's doorstep, leaving the letter of why she had to leave it to them. The letter was implied as if she didn't want the boy, so the family was pretty much pissed.
On the bright side, Lucien's father decided to own up to his actions while still finishing his seventh year, after getting an earful from his entire family about his mistakes. So, Gregori's family raised the baby boy while he was at school until Gregori graduated and decided to fully raise him on his own since it's his responsibility. It was a big struggle for Gregori to raise Lucien alone until Gregori's sister Vasilisa decided to move in with him and help out. Lucien somehow managed to grow up as a decent kid, as he was strictly taught to be responsible so that he won't end up as reckless as Gregori used to be. There are times he would ask his father and aunt about his mother, but it was clear that both of them didn't want to talk about it. Lucien figured that it was something of a bad blood, so he didn't push the question.
At age five, Lucien displayed his first sign of magic when he accidentally has one of his father's mechanical works change from brass to different vivid colors. His father was thrilled to know that his son is going to Hogwarts anytime soon but at the same time, he was praying that Lucien won't try pulling the same stunts as he did. For Lucien's side, the boy was just glad that he will be going to a school his aunts and uncles talked about, a place where he will be making lots of friends like him.
▶ SCHOOL LIFE — The summer before his first year he met two people: Cadence and Leah, whom he easily socialize with. During the train ride, he managed to befriend a fellow Russian Slytherin named Faina after he overhear a conversation with one of his natural languages. At the start of his time in Hogwarts, he was easily sorted to Hufflepuff and there he flourished neatly as he met Nani, Laili and a lot more. He also joined the Music club as well as the Quidditch team in hopes of getting a position of a chaser, but instead he got to beater instead which was something he wasn't at all concerned. Other than that, he enjoyed the rest of the year. His second year was pretty much uneventful, though he was sincerely glad that he got first-string chaser in the Quidditch team with Nani just like he wanted. He also joined the Dueling Club, mainly because he wanted to find time to hang out with his close friend Faina.

▶ IMAGINATIVE — In a Hogwarts house that was stereotyped as being bookish and meticulous, Gregori isn't always that. Even if he's much more organized more after years of being an inventor, it doesn't stop him from contemplating more ideas as he felt that being focused on only thing will drive him insane. He would do a piece of canvas work, then take a break from it by continuing on doing another. Of course, he only did that on his personal projects and less on his clients'.
▶ CHEERFUL — Gregori is valiantly quirky that he was sometime mistaken for eccentric to people who acknowledge his skills. While not the type to throw flowers and grin all the time, his type of disposition is that he makes quips and teases with a smile on his face. This even applies when he felt the need to snark back with a faux-serene smile even if his words may sound threatening. Gregori is also the type of person to want to enjoy the moment given to him such as parties and hang outs, and doesn't intent on letting the mood down even if he's down.
▶ CHARISMATIC — While he no longer uses it as much as he used to, Gregori still was good with words and being a likable man- if he wants to. He will first observe the person he's talking to and consider about what they want to hear. It makes him courteous and polite, rarely the one to raise his voice unless being provoked. Gregori is no stranger to, of course, sarcastic quips just like his sister Vasilisa.
▶ SMART — Gregori was smart, even academically wise. Despite not being that dutiful when it comes to school, he was still able to keep up because he easily pick things up. Especially when it was something that caught his interests. Gregori doesn't find it hard to read the situation and piece the puzzle together, as he saw his mechanics as a form of functional art. He is no doubt one to balance between the logical and whimsical sides of intelligence. Mechanics and Artistry.
▶ RESPONSIBLE — Gregori is dutiful, responsible and very loyal, as well as holding the moral code of "harvesting what you grow". He knows when he has done something reckless and will try to mitigate the problem, believing that most things has to have a solution. But if not, it's going to take a lot of convincing for him to let it go if you're not his family. Gregori is also a very reliable friend, brother, and son- you can count on him to have your back anytime if he is sure that he can trust you. But sometimes, even if his loyalty still sticks, Gregori is no stranger to occasionally feeling embittered when he felt like he received so little.
▶ RESENTFUL — Underneath his cheerful and likable nature, Gregori is resentful when feeling wronged especially when it was someone who did it to escape the responsibility. Justified or not, it won't stop him from feeling peevish and slighted because for him, his feelings still matter. Of course, many of them are pretty much realistic and Gregori isn't really a petty person. But still, no matter how he figured that his first lover was likely an unfit mother for his son, Gregori still felt like he's treated as if he was the one who is truly to blame for everything that happened.

▶ CHILDHOOD — Gregori is the firstborn son and second child to Anton Markov and Remedios Calderon, a year after his older sister's birth. Growing up, he and Vasilisa treat each other as if they were twins despite knowing that they are one full year apart. He is known as the most likeable child in the family, even according to his South American relatives every time they visit. He inherited his parents' love of the arts and crafts, willingly wanting to take up art lessons and any lessons that caught his eye. The fact that Vasilisa went to Hogwarts made the boy want to go to the same school as her, to which his parents complied as it was after all cruel to make them separate.
▶ SCHOOL LIFE — Gregori was sorted to Ravenclaw due to his imaginative outlook and was also quite likable to his peers. Even if he much preferred a small company. Gregori was also quite a charmer and a sweetheart in Hogwarts, though his first real love was his Ravenclaw housemate named Samantha Durante, who was a year above him. They were smitten for each other, no doubt, and Gregori had admired her sweet and kind disposition. Through out the two years, they were most likely attached to one hip until in his sixth year, their supposedly safe fling failed and it ended up with Samantha pregnant, prompting her to run away from her parents during the summer. Gregori was shocked and also guilty, as well as being berated by Vasilisa for his mistakes even if it was an accident. He insisted to help Samantha whenever he can, until one time in October he was informed by his parents to go back to Ireland as soon as possible. He was then informed that Samantha left a baby boy in their doorstep, with a letter that says that she didn't want the baby- but she did give the baby one name: Lucien.
Gregori was once again berated by his parents for his recklessness as they expressed their disappointment on him, filling him with the guilt and resolution that the baby was now his responsibility. On the other hand, he was more or less bitter towards Samantha not just because to all of his efforts to help her being in vain- finding out that she did it to remain maintaining her wealth in her own pureblood family. It was much more because of her assumption that "he might deny the baby so she might as well not give him an option so say no about raising the baby by himself" which he took as the gravest insult for her assuming that he's irresponsible. He then resolved himself to work hard in his studies and nailing every NEWT he could get his hands on so that he could ensure that once he graduated, Gregori will take Lucien under his wing and take his duty as a parent to prove that he was much responsible and hopefully a better parent than what Samantha was.
▶ POST-GRADUATION — After graduating Hogwarts with the grades he needed, Gregori decided to build a business and a living with his parents' help- probably because they realize that he's seriously determined on raising Lucien. After that, Gregori worked hard on his job and sharpening his skills, all while raising Lucien by himself. Gregori was clearly struggling in being a young parent, but he eventually got better due to his parents helping him on occasion and Vasilisa even willing to move in with him to help out with Lucien. Gregori was able to improve as time went by due to good parental support, even if he did have his doubts.
But when he was 18, Vasilisa disappeared so suddenly when she said that she will be going on a three-day night camping. Gregori and his family were suddenly afraid of where on earth she could be. He helped as much as he could in finding his sister until a few months later she visited his home once again and confessed that she was bitten by a werewolf, making Gregori swear to never tell their parents this secret. He complied and while he never had a prejudice against werewolves, Gregori as a parent was secretly scared that her lycanthropy might pose danger to Lucien. Raising his son used to be simply his duty, but now he's grown to him Lucien was now who Gregori loved the most.

▶ SELF-MOTIVATED — She believes in bargaining in a way the people should have something in return for their effort, and most things have a price. So if you ask for her help, you better know what you can give. She will always ask about what she will have in return before considering doing favors. Mina wants her credit to be recognized and she expects that she to be rewarded with anything good for her effort. She follows this philosophy and also shows her gratitude to people who does her favors. But if you're not her friend and didn't get anything good in return, boy, don't you expect her to help in a heartbeat. Asking help from her is like having a deal with a witch.
▶ EGOTISTICAL — Mina puts importance to herself before people. In default, you can always see that she will always respect herself that she left no room for self-deprecation or self-pity. Thus, she is one to pretty herself up as a way of self-care and wanted to look good to feel good. It does make her an attention seeker though, and would have the tendency to steal someone's thunder. But hey, she does admire people who- instead of accepting this- took her as a challenge instead. Granted she never liked sycophants nor wallflowers, and would prefer to hang out with someone who has the nerve to keep up with her.
▶ UPTIGHT — Mina is really the type to insist that things should be done by the book. She's not a fan of plan suddenly being in shift, feeling slighted when someone tries to tell plan to her in the last minute. She is also way mature for her age to the point that she gets impatient and bossy over people much younger than her. This made Mina come off as being haughty and a off-putting to some people.
▶ OPINIONATED — Mina seemed to like expressing what she has in mind, and one can expect her to make a comment on every situation. Good or bad. On one hand, it made her not care about getting in an argument especially when it should be worth it. On the other hand, Mina is no stranger to getting into arguments, especially with the people at her old school. She doesn't like sugarcoating about it either and it cements the fact that she is not really going to get along with the faint of heart.
▶ COMPOSED — It's hard for Mina to be high-strung nor it is hard for her to burst into metaphorical flames. She'd sees herself as a quiet and level-headed person, even if deep inside she can be exasperated by bullies or idiots. From what she learned from the kids she hang out with in the orphanage, throwing a fit and tantrum is just another way to say that you cannot solve the situation. It also makes her lack tolerance towards high-strung people.
▶ RESPECTFUL — Mina, for all her vanity, always finds respect to people who deserve it. She likes it if people challenge her, she likes watching people do their best, even if Mina thinks that she's still better. Mina has the moral compass to never degrade people nor bully them, because if she did it was like insulting herself. Depending on the person she's talking, Mina likes to give them a push... by declaring rivalry.

▶ CHILDHOOD — Born from a Lithuanian couple, she was born Vilhelmina Gabija Griksaite somewhere within the British Isles. She was much more known as "Mina" as she would love to be referred to as that because her full name was a mouthful. Her early childhood was revolved around nannies and her parents were always "busy with their business jobs" but little did she know that her parents were involved with something shady, one of them being a hitman for some shady crime group. It didn't end well for the family and there were some things Mina didn't want to talk about. For some reason, she was spared but that was probably because whoever was behind it couldn't bring themself to hurt a child that they just leave her to some foster care out of mercy.
Mina was six when she was dropped to foster care, but a few months later her magic kicked it had freaked out the people who took care of her that she was taken back to the foster home, then to an orphanage due to her "magic". She was deeply upset about it and had resented this magic thing that while she like the people who run the orphanage, Mina was pretty much a clingy kid in fear of rejection. Though that was short-lived when a magic married couple Dimitri and Angelo decided to adopt her, and they met when Mina was caught trying to sneak to Dimitri's children books that he had written and try to get it for herself. At age seven, she got adopted by them and moved to a peaceful home in Wales.
She was both relieved by the absence of crying kids and taken back by the sudden change of atmosphere, but Mina eventually got over it. In fact, she learned to she actually loved it more than she thought. Mina as a child developed into a self-confident one as time went by, primarily being taught by her other dad Angelo. Her papa Dimitri on the other hand helped her get over with her resentment towards magic, though they seem to forgot to tell her to tone down her self-confidence. Her parents figured that it's better to be self-important than being a pushover, so it ended up as a self-fulfilled prophecy for Mina. With this happening, she has little tolerance to her cousins - and the only cousin she ever got along with is Lucien. She even only has a few friends in her muggle schooling, usually her classmates either cower from her or disliked her. So now that she knew that she'll be arriving to Hogwarts, she was dreading of having to get along with "children"... even if it was her classmates.
