Olath raises her voice, the gutteral drow carrying in the wind.

Her hands are on fire, and the wind is howling around her, circling her, whipping her pigtails into her eyes. Her cloak had long been ripped from her body.

The water in the river begins to bubble, and her eyes are alight with glee. She is doing it! She is going into the depths of hell! With all of the people she and her sisters have killed, if her sister were dead, she would be down there.

Uleme starts to gallop in the direction of the disturbance. Damn her! he thinks. It could be none other than Olath, that dark preistess! Or whatever the hells she is.

He finds himself skidding to a halt, not far from Olath's naked figure, and the bubbling, steaming river.

"Olath'heiver!" Uleme calls over the wind. "Stop what you are doing, or I will be forced to do something I do not wish to do!" he strings his bow and notches an arrow.

Olath's whole eye is crimson when she looks over at Uleme. She turns her hand to him, and shoots fire at him.

Uleme calls out, and rears up, his front legs kicking a little. He moves away from the fire, and aims the arrow. He shoots it off.

Olath directs the wind, causing the arrow to go off track. She walks toward the river, still chanting in Drow. As she gets closer to the river, it begins to boil, steam rising from the surface. . . .

"Do you know what you are doing!" Uleme calls, notching another arrow.

Olath throws more fire at Uleme, not speaking. She is intent on the river.

So intent, she doesn't notice the arrow shot off. Until her nerves shoot off the chemical to the brain, to tell her she is in pain. She looks down at her arm, which is now bleeding, and has been shot through with an arrow. She can see the whole of the arrow head peeking out of the other side of her arm. The fire on her wounded side starts to slowly dim. She turns her crimson eyes to Uleme. "You will pay, you filthy animal," she hisses.

Uleme narrows his eyes, his pride now on fire from its recent attack. He notches another arrow, and fires carelessly. Olath easily knocks it aside with her magic. She starts yelling in Drow, and the ground beneath them starts to move.

Animals of all shapes and sizes spring from the ground, all clearly dead. They advance on Uleme.

He jumps over several of them, in an attempt to get to Olath. He brings his hooves down with all of his weight, crushing some of the smaller animals under him, though they are still moving.

Olath runs toward the river, intent on diving. Uleme reaches her just as she springs into the air, and he grabs her around her waist, hauling her close to his chest.

Growling, Olath screams in Drow. The living-dead animals fall, dead once more, to the ground, and burst into flames. Then, her own body is engulfed in flames, catching Uleme's shirt on fire, and superfically burning his skin. . . .

Drake had awoke with this strange feeling. Pushing his hair out of his face he sits up looking at the sleeping Kira. He smiles pushing some of her hair out of her face before climbing out of the bed.

Pulling on his short he steps outside. He arches as he see smoke coming up from the tree. "No one lives near the lake...." he looks back to see if Kira was still asleep before whistling into the night air.

Not far away in the Guardian villege Draven was still awake sitting by the fire. He couldn't sleep, not knowing his oldest brother was sleeping next to someone that night. His ear twitches as he hears the whistle. Placing the book down he walks over to the door and steps out of the house.

He didn't have to guess why the whistle, he saw the smoke bellowing from the trees. He didn't even bother to awaken his brother as he grabbed his cloak and ran towards the smoke.

He coughed and blinked his eyes rapidly. Covering his mouth with a part of his cloak he kept running until he was blinding by the fire "WHAT THE HELL?!?!?!" he looks around and frowns not liking this. Closing his eyes and speaking a few words in elvish he cause it to rain clearing the fire and his path.

"Who ever doing this is going to pay..." he kept running towards the lake.

Uleme backs away from Olath after he drops her to the ground.

The flames around her extinguish as she feels the drops of rain seep through her cloak and onto her bare skin. She is on her hands and knees, her head down, and her pigtails in her face. She's breathing heavily, her back arching up with every inhale. She grits her teeth in anger, and she can feel the sting of angry tears behind her closed eyelids.

"Let me do what I have come here to do, Uleme," she says, concentrating all of her magic on the river now.

"You could bring something back with you, Olath," Uleme says, his voice hard. "Did you not think of that? You could put us all in danger."

"I don't care," Olath replies through gritted teeth.

Uleme pauses, staring at her before he starts to remove his ruined shirt. "What is so important that you need to do this. Make me understand, Olath. Make me understand why you would risk your own life, and the lives of everyone in this forest, and in the manor."

Olath remains quiet.

Meanwhile, the very woman Olath is searching for is running on swift legs through the large forest, following the magic.

Then, quite suddenly, Olath springs to her feet, still not removing the arrow that was shot clear through her arm, and sprints toward the river. She has to find out! She just has to. . . .

Draven stopped when he reached the river, he didn't even have aa chance to say anything as he see Olath sprint towards the river. He doesn't have time to react all he could think was to stop her. Speaking in elvish again he holds his hands out and watches as the top of the river freezes.

Running toward the river he calls out to Olath "Olath stop what are you doing?" he doesn't even see Uleme as he runs pass him

Olath's eyes widen as she starts to skid, trying to stop. Her forward momentum sends her to the river anyway, and she slides on the ice, falling on her a**. Frustrated, she just falls onto her back, hitting her head on the ice of the river. She closes her eyes, and screams her frustration.

"Why don't you all leave me alone!" She cries. "I need to finish this, and no one can stop me! I will just find somewhere else to do this!"

She pushes herself into a sitting position and turns. Her eyes fall on Draven, and her irises immidiately grow larger. "You," she says, her jaw tensing again. "Stop meddling in my life."

"Olath, calm down!" Uleme says. "What is it you are trying to do? How can this possibly accomplish anything. You might not even be able to come back."

"Oh, what do you know?" Olath shakes her head, her eyes narrowed at Uleme again. "I am stronger than you could ever hope to be."

The woman is getting closer. But, now, she can feel another's magic. . . . Who is trying to help? At least the veil has closed, for the most part, she thinks, still running at top speed.

Draven stops at the river looking at Olath "Olath please don't do what your trying to do. And I'm meddling because I care about you, forgive me for being a man who cares...." he steps onto the ice and slowly walks to her.

Once standing in front of her he kneels down looking at her face "Come on let get you off this ice mi'lady and into clothes" he holds his hand out to her hoping she would accpect it. He didn't like the fact she was hurt, and more importantly he didn't know how much his body could take from seeing her naked.

Olath scoffs at the hand, and stands on her own. Without a word to anyone, she walks over to her pack, slipping a little on the ice. She throws her cloak aside and dresses in her usual corset and torn and tattered skirt. She turns and faces Drave and Uleme.

"You shouldn't care about me, Draven. What you need to do is plug that emotion in you, and stop sticking your nose where it is not wanted," Olath says.

Uleme shakes his head as Olath turns on him. "And you. Your precious forest is safe. If you won't leave me alone, I will just have to go elsewhere. I'll be out of your hair by the end of the week."

"Obviously, this is important to you, Olath," Uleme says, looking up at the stars for guidance. His brow furrows a little, and he says, "There are other ways to find the one you seek. You need only. . . . wait."

Olath stops in her tracks. She was intending to leave, but what Uleme said stopped her. "What do you mean. . . .?" she asks, slowly.

The woman is close now. Her keen ears pick up on the voices. One, she knows very well. . . .

Draven just shakes his head watching her. "Olath I can't help it, but fine if you want me to leave you alone, then I will...." he walks off the ice slowly, then walks pass her and Uleme.

Looking back at Olath he shakes his head and continue to walk back toward the forest. He knew when to give up, and at this point he had given up. He didn't have a clue how to get her to like him, and he wasn't gonna cast another spell on her. He'd just let her come to him when she was ready.

Olath watches Draven leave, feeling a little twinge of guilt at what she said to him.

But, dammit, she wasn't calling after him, or following him. She had more pressing matters to tend to. "Uleme, what do you mean?" she asks.

"Wait, the one you are seeking is coming," Uleme says, freely breaking his own rules. If it means saving his forest, he will do it.

"My sister is alive?" Olath asks.

Uleme nods.

Batsheba runs . . . right into Draven. She keeps her balance, somehow, even though she hit him full speed. "Excuse me," she says, in a voice that is almost exactly as Olath's, save a little deeper. In fact, she looks exactly like Olath. Batsheba is her identical twin. "But, I am looking for someone. Perhaps you can help me? She looks . . . well, she looks like me," she says with a small laugh. Though she is speaking in an almost friendly tone, her hand is on the hilt of one of her swords.

Draven step back in shock almost falling over but steading himself. He looks at her "Olath how....." he looks back toward the river then back at her "Weren't you just...and where did you get those clothes....they look stunning on you..." he stops and shakes his head.

"But you wanted me to leave you alone so I will. Goodbye my angel of the night..." he takes her hand and kisses it before stepping around her and walking deeper into the forest.

Batsheba's brow furrows, and her hand immediately goes to Draven's arm, preventing him from moving. "Look, I don't know who you are, but I need you to take me to Olath. She's my sister. I think she believes me dead. I've been gone long enough. And, she's getting reckless. I need to stop her, she needs to see me. Take. Me. To. Her." The last is said in a way that says she isn't going to take no for an answer.

Draven looks at her and frown taking her hand "Come on..." he leads her towards the river once they are close enough he stops point toward Olath and Uleme "There she is, she tried to dive into the river, that why its ice, I stopped her." he shakes his head "Now may I leave, I can handle one of you, but seeing two, well no I can't handle that..."

He bows again and steps back before turning and heading back towards the forest.

Olath looks over in the direction of Draven's voice. She heard him, and she squints her eyes to see.

"Draven?" she calls.

Batsheba inclines her head in thanks, and steps from the trees.

Olath looks upon the woman she has been searching for for twenty years now. And, her knees get weak. She falls to them, staring at her sister with wide eyes.

Batsheba smiles at her sister, tears actually filling her eyes. "Hello, Lathy," she says, using the name that Olath hates.

But, right now, she doesn't care. Right now, everything is black. . . . Olath falls on her side.

Draven looks back as he hears his name. He doesn't even stop to think as he see Olath fall to her knees. He runs back towards the river, he stops and looks at the other twin "Is she going to be okay..." he looks back down to Olath, he knew he should have kept walking but he didn't have the heart when it came to a women passing out.
