So this was Sauti. Tytus glanced up as the winds swirled overhead, "Think it's breezy enough?" He asked no one in particular before shifting his cloak around his shoulders. Even though he was from Jatine Tytus still was far more accustomed to the heat of the desert sun. Being in the mountains where the wind bit into your bones was a much different experience and Tytus wasn't too certain if he liked it. But like with anything he was ever optimistic. It just meant he could try some of the northern clothing and enjoy other ways to stay warm. I do enjoy trying new things.
But what he enjoyed the most was finding new familiars. Tytus grinned as he stared down at the parchment in his hand, "Some sort of fuzzy perzi like creature? With two tails, interesting." He glanced over at his xaraan, "What do you think, XuXu? Or not." Tytus pursed his lips in frustration as the giant bird seemingly ignored him, "I suppose it's just up to me then. You stay here and I'll go ahead and scour these cliffs."
If his employers wanted a new pet then a new pet they would get. At least that was Ty's hope as he began his climb. He just had to find one first and then work his charm or his aim with a bag. Surely it wouldn't be so hard to nab a cat, right?

It was strange to be out on his own, but Koril couldn't help himself! It was his first time in Sauti, and he wanted to see it all! With the rest of his family busy, he snuck off to explore on his own. Everyone else was always so worried about something happening, and he just wanted to find what was there! So what if he scraped his knees a little in the process?
Besides, it wasn't as though he were completely alone. He had his zanteer Flana with him! Looking back at the bright yellow figure, he stuck out his lip in a pout. "Come on, lazy bones! We'll never find something interesting with you lying around like that!"
Flana had found a flat rock to stretch out on, and was sunbathing quite contently. One eye cracked open, and she tapped her tail against the rock lightly.
Koril huffed softly. "I don't wanna lie down right now! Get up or I'm going on without you!"

One of the fun things about zanteers was how often they decided to do their own thing. While Tytus wasn't certain about why he had brought his along, mostly because she wouldn't stop clinging to him, the boy was definitely certain of one thing - she had her nose on something, "Innaaaa~" Even though he called out after her it was too late and the zanteer was already sailing down some rocks to pounce on another bright yellow familiar. Letting out a series of squeaks Inna bounced around the strangers before finally running up to Tytus as he caught up, "I'm sorry about that. She gets excited way too easily."

The voice calling out made Koril spin around. Who else was out here? Suddenly, Flana was yipping and scuffling about He was shocked when he turned to see another zanteer bouncing around, making him giggle with delight. "Hello there," he cooed. When the Oban came into view, he smiled brightly. "No problem!"
Flana wasn't going to stand for being such a target though! Rump wiggling playfully for a second, she pounced forward to chase after the other zanteer, batting at it's tail.

Well that was a pleasant enough surprise. Tytus found himself grinning back towards the hybrid, "Glad to hear it. Though it seems that she may not be so pleased with Inna's behavior." He joked lightly as the two zanteer began to playfully fight around. Inna was letting out some squeaks as she dodged around the other zanteer and even darted between the legs of the two apprentices observing them. Laughing, Tytus could only take a step back to catch himself. "I guess our zanteer are getting acquainted so should we?" He reached out a hand towards the other boy, "I'm Tytus."

Koril watched the two zanteer with a laugh, nearly falling over when both knocked by his legs. "Nah, she's pretty happy, it looks like." It was so much fun to watch! Then the other young man caught his attention, and he gave his usual glowing smile. "I'm Koril, and that's Flana! Nice to meet you! I sure wasn't expecting another zanteer up this way. Do you live here?"

"A pleasure." Tytus grinned as he clasped the other young man's hand in greeting, "I suppose I should let you know the trouble maker is called Inna as well." He shook his head at the question, "I actually come from Jatine in Oba, but I'm out here looking for some familiars. How about you?"

Koril smiled with a glance at the zanteer again. "Cute!" Looking for familiars? Instantly, Koril's attention was drawn in. "Looking for them? Can I help? What kind are you looking for? Are you planning to keep them or just look?" All at once, he clamped his mouth shut with a bashful smile. He'd been told plenty by people outside his family that he talked too much.

"Something furry with two tails called a Laotoa. Ever hear of it?" Tytus smiled at the other boy's obvious excitement, "I'm planning on taking it back home. I work for someone who has an interest in them so he wants one as a pet. I figured that since he's paying for the trip I might as well come over to Sauti and see what I can find."

Koril's eyes widened with interest. Furry with two tails. He shook his head side to side. "Nuh-uh." He'd never heard of such a thing! Tyrus wasn't saying no... "I'd love to see one though-woah!!!" he yelped out, dropping when his legs were suddenly swept out from under him.
The tides of the zanteer play had turned, and Flana was now joyfully fleeing her opponent. This time, she did knock Koril over, pausing to look back at the fallen boy with a twitch of her nose.

Tytus grinned, "Well then I'm sure I could use some help. They say that the creatures are often in these cliffs. I'd much rather try my hand at one in the wild first before going to the markets." His words stopped as he heard the thud of the other apprentice, "Oh!"
Moving quickly Tytus reached out a hand towards Koril, "Need help getting up?" He chuckled, "Seems like we'll have some fun in store for us if our zanteer are already beating us up before we find any laotoa."

Laughing with amusement, Koril sat up and gratefully accepted the offered hand. "Thanks. It's not the first time she's done that, though." He aimed a playful glare at the scampering familiar, and then beamed at Tytus again. "I'd like to help! Where should we start?" All he had to do was brush some dirt off from his pants and back, and it was as though nothing had happened.

Tytus nodded and took a step back to give Koril some space as he situated himself, "I was thinking we could climb high and then perhaps see what paths are less traveled. They seem to be rather reclusive felines since they don't want anything to do with people coming through." He smiled, "We can find a good perch and set up a trap of treats I brought and then just play the waiting game. Sound good?"

Climb high? Paths less traveled? Koril looked up and grinned at the cliffs. That sure sounded exciting! Oh, the waiting game... He couldn't help his nose wrinkling, but he nodded just the same. "The waiting game isn't my favorite, but we can try." After all, the draw of seeing a new creature was just too great to ignore!

Tytus grinned at the acceptance of his plan, "Alright let's go then!" Letting out a sharp whistle the oban watched as his zanteer skidded to a stop and raced to his side, "Come on Inna, you guys can play later. We've got some hiking to do." He glanced towards Koril, "I hope you aren't afraid of heights because we may need to camp out in a tree for a bit. I saw a huge one before that I figured would be great for sitting in while we wait. I'm going to use Inna as a distraction when it does appear and net it from behind."
Nothing to hurt the creature, but something to effectively trap it. Patting the bag hanging at his side Tytus motioned with his hand before moving on forward through the cliffs.
