"It's really not your business." Jhin replied as the ice woman approached him, "Is this not a public path?" Apparently not as she was already moving in on him. So much for a training mission by his aunt! She sent me to Zena to meet a ferocious woman ready to maim?! Perhaps he would try to explain himself later, but for now survival was a must. As he tumbled out of the way of the lance Jhin managed to send an arrow towards his attacker.

Jhin shifted his bow in his hands. Admittedly he felt a wave of guilt as he saw blood running along the iceling's arm. He meant to defend himself, but that didn't make actually injuring someone any better in his heart. Still, he had to do something since she was so intent on attacking him! But as Jhin attempted to dodge and then counter the woman's words made him falter, "Killer for hire?" He repeated with a deep frown, "I'm no-"
His words got lost in stinging pain as her lance grazed against his leg and caused him to stumble towards the ground.

Since it seemed that the ice woman was intent upon maiming him Jhin decided to take a gamble. It was a drastic decision, but at this rate he was afraid all the dodging would stop him from being able to fight her back! As her lance connected with his side the boy clenched his teeth sharply against the pain before firing a pointblank shot towards her leg. If he could just stop her from moving then perhaps they could talk!

How about what? Jhin didn't have time to think as he noticed her moving her lance towards him again. Gritting his teeth the archer just braced his feet in the snow and took the brunt of the attack. Once again it was risky, but at this point he was just trying to talk to her. "I'm...not...killing anyone!" He managed before reaching out with his bow to try and smack her weapon from her. Couldn't this insanity stop already?!
But in his haze of pain the man missed before slowly slumping to a knee. How much more could he put up with? The world was already blurring around him...

Jhin could only watch as she brought another attack to him. Already the blood loss and the last blow was making his mind swirl with darkness as he struggled to retain consciousness, "I'm not...a killer." He managed to repeat one last time before collapsing onto the ground.

Serana dehooded the man, and examined him. He didn't seem to have any tattoos that marked him as a thug, killer for hire, or even a spy for that matter. Sh really did make a mistake, but she couldn't help to not feel remorse. She really was scared, and it wasn't like she was going to leave the poor guy there after wrongfully maiming him. She called for Iska and helped him onto his back. She brought him to the mansion in order to treat his wounds. "I'm sorry," she said to the half conscious boy, "I was just making sure you were who you said you were... I'll treat your wounds."
