The faivkol Kaar seemed almost aimless as she walked about. The new lands were interesting. She had a few visions, some that had caused her to have migraines, even a black out or two. She wasn't super strong in her seer abilities but strong enough. She had sensed the other, just a glimmer of the female approaching her. Knew her name even.
"Kimya." She said without taking her eyes off the giant monitor walking across the sands towards some shade. "Neca su kaa aeui. (Nice to see you.)" Finally turning around to the other. At least this time it wasn't a headache. Nice to never be snuck up on at least.

Kimya was a curious lioness. Her curiosity had pulled her from the rogue lands to join the Nergui. She had tread softly about the ruins in the sand on account of her being curious. Now, she approached the Kaar, whom she had heard tales that could see everything, because she was curious of her power.
She had heard the lioness' name whispered by others: Ngozi, but they had never been formally introduced. Of course we wouldn't. Kimya thought. I've only recently joined, after all. It may have been a while since she first joined up with the Nergui and claimed the rank of Shuko, after displaying the ability to slip into the shadows of the pride, but everything was still so new to her. And she had yet to find herself in a position that would require any sort of violence. She didn't know if she was relieved for this or disappointed.
Her ears twitched in surprise when the reddish lioness in front of her spoke her name and she struggled to reply. Her understanding of the Nergui's language was coming to her, well enough, she supposed, but it was coming all the same. There was one phrase she had down, however, since it always seemed the most courteous, even if the Nergui themselves, weren't all that polite.
She bowed her head in the face of the Kaar. "H-Harru." She greeted the other. "I ruva I roqam's deksirbad aeui. (I hope I didn't disturb you.)" Raising her head, she smiled at the other and then came up to stand beside the other lioness. She searched for the words and then went on. "Semca aeui dmuv kae moka orraodae, I kikvacs sra rikurk uk aeuir kesrs kiks ba sria. I com's ekosema sra vreda vuird ba sordems obuis ka. (Since you know my name already, I suspect the rumors of your sight must be true. I can't imagine the pride would be talking about me.)" She huffed a nervous laugh at the thought, wondering for a moment if anyone would take about her. Would she be excited at the prospect or nervous? She suspected it would have to do with the talk that was being spread about.
Casting her eyes out onto the sand above them, Kimya, too, spotted the monitor lizard skulking towards the shade. She smiled and then asked. "Wros ek es reda? Saaems omd sram KAAEMS? (What is it like? Seeing and then SEEING.)" She was curious and it never occurred to her that the lioness may be tired of these questions or be disagreeable to answering them. It never occurred to Kimya at all.

She could see the difficulty the lioness was having with the common tongue of the Nergui. A few words here and there she could tell the pronunciation was a little off but she understood the gist of it. The female did gently shake her head at Kimya, "Yui ded mus deksirb ka. (You did not disturb me.)" Her head was throbbing though, even that inconsequential vision had made her head spin after the fact.
She did laugh a little, it wasn't a little harsh though. "Tra rikurk uk kae kesrs ora sria bis sros ek mus ruv I dmuv aeuir moka. I iiks dmav aeui vara suems su ba cukems rara. (The rumors of my sight are true but that is not how I know your name. I just knew you were going to be coming here.)"
Her eyes watched the creature slinking away from the sun. They should also probably moved to the shade. Might be better, though she didn't make a move for it yet. "Isk rord su axvroem kaaems. Bakedak sra raodocrak omd brocduisk sros ora okkuceosad vesr es, esk reda... I kaa kukasrems sros cuird rovvam, kuks uk sra seka es duak bis srara ek o cromca sros es vum's. Sukasekak I kaa sremsk sros iiks srekvkak, reda sra curur uk o vars. Osrar sekak I kaa o rorsa kcama. Leda kuka uk ik cukems ocrukk o vorseciror vroca. I dum's dmuv vram esk suems su rovvam bis aqamsiorrae es verr rovvam. (Its hard to explain seeing. Besides the headaches and blackouts that are associated with it, its like... I see something that could happen, most of the time it does but there is a chance that it won't. Sometimes I see things that just glimpses, like the color of a pelt. Other times I see a large scene. Like some of us coming across a particular place. I don't know when its going to happen but eventually it will happen.)"
She stopped and looked at the other, "Would it be better to speak like this?" Kimya was a rogue coming to their pride, maybe this would help. She had learned this language because she was sure it would be needed for the future. Though the look on Ngozi's face it was easy to tell that she didn't really like to use that language unless she had to.

Kimya smiled in relief when she found she had not disturbed the other lioness and tipped her head again. When the other went on, she struggled to decode so many words at once, a headache of her own coming on from the sheer overwhelming nature of trying to learn a new language. She eventually was able to understand the gist of what was saying to her.
She wasn't being spoken about by the pride, but Ngozi had seen her coming into the pride. Her chest puffed out a little at that. Was she so important that her coming into the pride was seen by the Kaar? If she was a loud, boasting lioness, she may have used that as something to brag about, but Kimya was none of these things. Her name meant "silent storm" for a reason.
The segment on the lioness' power was more difficult to decipher, but she seemed to understand that it came with a great deal of head pain when it occurred and that the visions weren't always clear. Kimya looked sympathetically at her companion. What a difficult life the Kaar must lead!
Suddenly, Ngozi was speaking in Kimya's native tongue and Kimya let out a relieved sigh. "Please, yes." She replied with a smile. "I don't mean to offend." She added, catching the expression of the other lioness. "It's just difficult trying to pick up a new language so easily." She said sheepishly, kicking the sand around with a paw. Hopefully the Kaar wouldn't think her foolish for her answer.

Despite hating using that awful terrible language she would do it. Good thing she was a quick study or else she would have not agreed to it. Maybe she should just settle into the sand. Ngozi's eyes darting to the shade of the trees before she started heading that direction.
"Its ok. I just prefer our natural tongue. I am a quick study so I learned this as I grew from the newcomers." Easier to pick up knowledge when you were younger than as an adult. Took more repetition as an adult to get things down. "I saw you come to this spot but not exactly why you did. Just coming to see me or was there something more?"

Kimya realized her translation error immediately. It wasn't the language of the Nergui that the Kaar hated, but the language Kimya knew! That of the rogues and outsiders. She felt a warm rush of shame come over her, was her language and history as a rogue really so frowned upon? She shuffled her paws and then, in the choppy Nergui tongue, spoke.
"I ded mus raoreza I vok ukkamdems aeui. Praoka, ras ik kvaod reda srek. (I did not mean to offend you. Please, let us speak like this.)" She said, her voice soft and apologetic. She was a docile lioness, one that didn't disagree or seek out conflict, yet since coming to the Nergui, Kimya had noticed a change within her.
There was a small part of her growing a little more every day, that demanded she fight for her pride and honor. How dare this stuck-up lioness before her show such obvious distaste for something she was so attached to? Did she want to fight it out then and there? There was no better time to settle disagreements than the present! Kimya had been struggling with these new, growing feelings as of late, unsure of part of herself to let have dominance over her body.
For the time being, she told her inner voice to stuff it. She was here to make friends, not enemies. And she wasn't certain to the rules of combat when not in a mob pit, like she had seen in the rogue lands. What if attacking another pride mate was frowned upon when certain scenarios were not in place?
"I vomsad su... su okd aeui kuka piakseumk. I sruisrs varrovk aeui, roqems sra obereseak aeui du, kesrs dmuv kura srom sra oqarosa Braak obuis sra rirak uk sra vreda. (I wanted to... to ask you some questions. I thought perhaps you, having the abilities you do, might know more than the average Braak about the rules of the pride.) " She answered when the question came up about why she was here. Then, shyly, she admitted. "I dum's roqa omae kreamdk rara, ku I vokm's kira vru su okd. I ruva es'k mus ekvarsemams kur ka su okd srek uk aeui. (I don't have any friends here, so I wasn't sure who to ask. I hope it's not impertinent for me to ask this of you.) " She didn't even know if members of the Nergui had friends! Oh, there was so much she didn't know! Hopefully, that would change today, she thought, following Ngozi towards the shade.

The female wrinkled her nose a little. "Tromd aeui. Nu ukkamka sodam. (Thank you. No offense taken.)" The Kaar responded as she listened to the other's plea. Though part of her noticed the small change in the female. Did she really want to fight? They could if that might make her feel better. Why were they so particular to the language, she didn't really get it.
"Su aeui iiks voms su dmuv kura obuis ik ok o vauvra sram? (So you just want to know more about us as a people then?)" Reiterating what it was the other said so she could formulate things better. Though to be honest she mostly kept to herself. "Yui ora kema su okd ka. I com sarr aeui sros raorrae, va ora o imes. Wa ora vorreurk omd va du vros va kiks su kirqeqa. Wa roqa o qoreasae uk kaeksakk. Tra voae uir korreosak ora. Oir kroqak. Truisr I vuird koae kae romd koae ba ekvursoms I ok mus ok resr iv ok aeui koae sremd. (You are fine to ask me. I can tell you that really, we are a unit. We are warriors and we do what we must to survive. We have a variety of systems. The way our marriages are. Our slaves. Though I would say my rank may be important I am not as high up as you may think.)"

Kimya was relieved when the other seemed to relax in speaking in the native Nergui tongue. It still felt strange and foreign to Kimya, but she supposed that she would ease into it with time herself. She hoped.
For the time being she focused on keeping up with what Ngozi had to say to her. She perked her ears and tried her best to understand the language that sounded like speaking with rocks in your mouth. Even when the other lioness had stopped speaking, Kimya's mind was still whirling to try and catch up with all that had been said.
She nodded after a moment and then tilted her head to one side. "Woes, vros du aeui kaom? (Wait, what do you mean?)" If a Seer was lower in rank than she thought... Oh gods, how low could her own rank be? She had gotten into the pride without having to fight, she just sort of slipped into the group and then everyone started addressing her as a "shuko" whatever that meant. "I sruisrs vesr aeuir obereseak, sra Koor vuird ba um vor vesr sra usrar resrar ivk. (I thought with your abilities, the Kaar would be on par with the other higher ups.)" She paused and then shuffled her paws before adding. "Huv ruv ek... ek o Shuko? (How low is... is a Shuko?)"

The female laughed a little. "Wa ora rakvacsad kur uir seksk bis kukasekak kaark sas sremsk vrums. Wa ora ekvursoms sruisr, dum's sas es emsu aeuir raod sros bacoika aeui ora o romd obuqa ka sros I ok mus ok akkamseor. Tra Kaar Oma ek uir uqarkaar. Tra reddam umak uk uir vreda. Yui reda sra Nohoi omd sra Braak ora sra koka. Oir kearca vorreurk. Haeamo omd reum. (We are respected for our gifts but sometimes seers get things wrong. We are important though, don't get it into your head that because you are a rank above me that I am not as essential. The Kaar Oma is our overseer. Mchawi is a very strong seer and I would advise caution around her. You are a shadow guard, your talents are very necessary for our pride. I like to see you guys as assassins. The hidden ones of our pride. You like the Nohoi and the Braak are the same. Our fierce warriors. Hyena and lion.)"
She felt that was efficient enough of an explanation at least of the middle ranks. Ngozi flicked her tail and waited to hear the response of the other. Hoping that maybe there would be less questions. Not that she didn't mind answering them. "Is that all you wanted to know?" Asking the last part in the common rogue language.

Wait, wait, wait. Kimya's jaw went slack. Her rank, that of a Shuko was higher above than a Seer? Sure, it made sense that the Kaar Oma was also a seer-or as Ngozi had said an overseer. Still, Kimya's head was swimming with more questions, but it was the finality and sudden change in language on her companion's part that made her understand that asking all the questions she wanted to from this single lioness would not be the proper thing to do.
Besides, she had to go and figure out how she felt about this new development! She knew she would be tasked with fighting, but an assassin? Well, she could do that, couldn't she? While it was true she had never killed anything more than a prey beast before, she could learn... right? It couldn't be that different and if her pride needed her to do it than well...
"No more questions." She replied, slipping with relief back into her own tongue. "Thank you, Ngozi." She got to her paws. "I will take my leave here, but again, I thank you for your wisdom." She smiled at the other lioness and then ducked her head, before heading towards the ruins to find a different patch of shade, to lay down and think about what she had learned and what more there may be to find out about this new world she stumbled into.
