"Whoo!" She sprung through the door and immediately began shaking herself like a dog.
Chips and bits of chocolate flung off of her. She spread her wings and fluttered them out like she had been cooped up for days!
It's not until something hits her on her forehead does she see the Trick or Treater above her. She crushed down the spark of annoyance she had felt with that last door to want to, instead, pick the other's brain...
Til the parchment caught her attention.
Oh... OH! Nice! She had passed!
She wrapped a fist around the paper before making her way back to the dorm. First for a shower than to finally write her father back.
Mostly to boast but deep, deep down she hoped for some semblance of him being just a little bit proud of her. |
