Fisher was going to be another of the newer Guardians he had yet to officially meet in person, but that didn't mean Zeke wasn't any less excited for him today. As with every Guardian, the birth of their Frei and their subsequent Pick Up was a cause for celebration for the man, and thus he was once again in that predicament of being entirely too excited with very little to keep him occupied between the phone call he had just made to Fisher and the time the other man would arrive. The Lab was spotless and his things were on file, tidy, or otherwise not in need of sprucing up but he did look through everything and killed about fifteen minutes or so for his effort.
He went to his office from there, peeking here, there, everywhere. Same thing - he was far too tidy and organized when it came to work. Finally he gave a defeated sigh and toddled back off to the front, skimming the file as he dug his phone out of his bag. Fisher's boy - and boy he was indeed by the line Kyou had filled out for him - was a curious child of a ladybug and an Essence called Cat-Repelling Catnip. Zeke rather liked the curious or odd pairings of Soul and Essence the most, as they offered so many possibilities to muddle over. Of course the first thing he went to was the Essence itself.
Poor kid was probably never going to be one for cats.

Fisher had returned to work from lunch mere moments before he got the call. He had honestly forgotten that he'd set the Lab's ringtone to Sweet Child O' Mine until he heard it blaring from his pocket, and it took him a couple of seconds to realize what that meant.
His Raevan was here.
His Raevan was HERE! Done! Cooked! Ding! AAA!
Both his brain and his mouth let out an excited yelp as he hung up his phone, earning him a couple of odd glances from the surrounding park guests, and it didn't take him more than ten minutes to brief his assistant, take the rest of the day off, and hightail it to his (still shameful) minivan. Fish was a victim of traffic after that, but all in all, it only took another sixteen minutes for him to reach his destination. He pushed past the door without even thinking of fussing over his hair. It was truly a momentous occasion.
"Zeke?" He grinned at the only person he saw. Who Fisher was proved fairly obvious. While he had yanked off his tie in the car, he had helpfully and accidentally neglected to remove his plastic nametag.

There was a tell tale jingle of the bells over the door that drew Zeke's eyes from his phone to the door. A newcomer stood there and upon his face was the most excited but also nervous smile Zeke knew so well.
The Guardian had arrived.
"I am indeed! You must be Fisher!" The vet stood up from his seat and walked around his desk to meet the other man half way, arm outstretched to shake his hand. "It's so great to finally meet you! Please, have a seat and can I get you anything to drink?"
After the shake had ended Zeke gestured to the two chairs situated in front of his desk. He rounded back around to where he had been sitting, but remained standing in case his offer was taken up.
"I'm sure you're excited to meet your boy but before we go to see him I'm gonna bet you must have a question or two for me first! Plus I'll just have to give you a run down on the proceedings from here but two birds, one stone as they say!"

He nearly jiggled Zeke by his hand like a human shake weight, but at the last second Fisher refrained, dialing back his rather frantic greeting.
"Yeah! Fisher Gridell. Very pleased to meet you."
He took a seat where indicated, bouncing once or twice before trying to suppress his anxious energy for the second time. It seeped out even so, most notably through his wide smile and the persistent bob of his leg.
"Nothing to drink, but anything you could tell me about emergency, um, procedures would be great. Like what to do if he's... he?" His Raevan was a boy. It was impossible for him to smile any wider, but Fisher felt a flutter in his stomach that he paused to wait out. "He. What to do if he's sick or hurt in some magical way? Do I bring him here? You should probably just tell me everything." He finally noticed his nametag, and he absently reached up to unpin it.
