It had been a few weeks since the keldari venom had all, but incapacitated Hargitt. He'd survived, thanks to a quick intervention on Jakkoa's part, but his weakness had lingered long after the initial attack.
Now that they were getting closer to the Zena border Hargitt wanted to be prepared. He wanted to make sure they had plenty of game packed away and that his skills were where they needed to be. So it was that the archer found himself perched high above a stone, another jutting out above him to make a sort of cover. From this height he could see far, and when he saw movement Hargitt readied his bow. He fired off a warning shot; hoping to spook whatever it was into coming out into the open.

Tryston had been on the run ever since he last encounter with his 'brothers'. The iceling male clenched his fists at the thought. Here he was running around Sauti to find answers and he couldn't even find out information without having to fight every second it seemed. At the thought the man had to let out a curse as an arrow sailed towards him. Was it another attacker?
He was not going to hide any longer. Raising his sword Tryston slipped down the cliffs and found himself facing some stranger. Was he hired by the leafling? Tryston didn't even bother to try and find out. Last time he had used words he had let his guard down and so he was not about to risk it again!

Hargitt wasn't expecting a full on battle, but it came with the territory. It wasn't as if this would be the first bandit he'd come across while traveling with Jakkoa; because surely, who else would be skulking on their own, in dark clothing of all things, in Sauti with a sword?
He moved to the side, hoping to avoid the incoming blow. Hargitt wasn't able to get out of the way in time, and instead received a cut to his side as a result. In the midst of dodging he reached back for an arrow, trying to knock it as quickly as possible but in his haste he missed the mark entirely.

The fact that the man hadn't said a word put Tryston more on edge. Had this man been sent to fight him? Was this another attempt on his life? Or was he a bandit? Either way Tryston wasn't about to show mercy. He had a mission and no matter what he had to survive! He had to save Constynce and get her out of that place and to safety!
Brandishing his sword he took the opportunity from the miss to swing again towards his opponent. Even if Tryston didn't want to maim the man he still was hitting with force to at least attempt to knock him out so that he could leave without a trace.

Hargitt gritted his teeth against the incoming attack. He tried to move away, but his expertise was not melee battles. What he needed was distance; some sort of way for him to get far enough away from his attacker to strike. At this rate he was going to lose, and if this man found his camp he would find Jakkoa and then-
Hargitt knocked another arrow, this time aiming just close enough to the man's head to hopefully spook him. If he could cause a panic, some kind of fumble, then he could make it to higher ground or a hiding spot for better coverage.

As the arrow sailed towards his head Tryston made the decision to raise an arm against it. His teeth clenched against the pain the swordsman made certain to not hesitate as the other man tried to get away. What if he was going to get reinforcements? If he was apart of a scouting party then Tryston could be easily surrounded!
Still the attack had been just enough to slow him and Tryston had to rush forward to barely hit at the man as he tried to get away.

Hargitt was growing weary of running. He knew the likelihood of getting away from this particular attacker wasn't likely; the bandit was determined, moving in every time Hargitt got so much as an inch away from him.
He furrowed growled as he took yet another hit; while this one didn't have the same bite as the rest it still hurt, never the less and slowed him down considerably. When he lined up a direct shot, knocking back the arrow to fire, it lacked his usual strength.

He had taken another shot, this time in the shoulder, but Tryston was determined to not let it prevent him from reaching the attacker. He just had to focus on the goal, on his mission to save everyone he cared about, and the chase was easy enough. That is until he attempted to grab at the other man and instead found himself missing and tumbling to the side.

Now was his chance! The bandit had fumbled a grapple, which meant he was prone and Hargitt could easily-
Should have easily wounded him.
With his own injuries weighing on him, making sure to hit the right spot, especially on a target that was moving, even if he was falling, proved difficult. He missed; terribly and with enough vigor to make him think he should have just thrown his bow over the cliff and punched the man instead.

As the other man missed Tryston took the chance to regain his balance. Darting forward with intent the swordsman attempted to attack so that he could knock the man sideways with the blunt of his blade. He wasn't going to kill anyone, but he didn't want this guy finding reinforcements either!
He had to knock him out quickly and get out of here so that he could go find Constynce before it was too late! Still in his rush and due to his injuries the hit wasn't as impactful as he would have liked. He just hoped it would be enough...

Hargitt tried to dodge the incoming attack, but he had never been a fast man, even on his better days. Winded, wounded, and over calculating, Hargitt took the hit. He fell to his side on the stone, which wouldn't have been enough to knock him out, had he not his head his as well and passed out completely.
