How convenient.

It was so utterly convenient that once the stones were imbued, it somehow got 'lost' by the fool he had entrusted it to. One night was all it took for the stone to somehow go missing, and he...He was furious. The Grimm had been promised a sizable sum of money once Diomed had gotten back from a...business trip...But no. Instead, he came back to a shrug and a door slammed in his face. He'd make sure that such an action was regretted later.

Nevertheless, Diomed considered this a failure. He had nothing to show for this one, so why should he even bother to count it? Out of sight, out of mind,
after all. Like the rest of his children....Most of the time.

Now...? Now, he had an excuse. He'd lost his poor, poor stone. He needed to fill the void in his heart from such a loss.

Who could resist such a story?
