Mongol had to get out of the pride for a while. She loved her mother and her friends, but sometimes she felt like she could get smothered. The hybrid wasn't even sure she had her own thoughts anymore with as much as things were thrown at her. It was all family drama and she wanted nothing to do with it. So a hunt is where she went.
This was a selfish hunt. No one knew she'd left, and she was only looking to get something that was just for her to eat. A few hours of peace. That's all.
The pale female crouched low in the grass that warmed the pads of her paws. It was so hot out. It was like the rains didn't fall this year out here. Something could easily catch on fire if it progressed much longer. Still she stalked her pray, a baby zebra that she'd singled out. The mother was with the herd and she just had to finish it off. It was wounded and stumbling around with a bloodied leg. Just a few more moments... A growl left her throat as she stalked ever closer.
