Destiny's Star Hospital had been an almost stupid success. Honestly, he hadn't been expecting so many brainless idiots to wander right into an obvious trap--Negaversers included! Of course, it was hard for him to come to terms with the fact that this war was no longer nearly as violent and brutal as it once had been. If these kids had to go through something like Barren Pines, he wasn't so sure that they would have been mentally capable of continuing the battle. The worst rumors he'd heard floating around was the occasional capture and torture of agents on both sides... but no execution, as far as he knew.

Well, maybe it was time to give everyone a taste of the good old days.

Ducking absently under the police tape that was wrapped all around the now-abandoned hospital building, Obsidian allowed his aura to pulse, intending to draw forth any and all Order members within the vicinity.

His blade materialized in his hand with ease, and Obsidian gave it an absent twirl before he brought it down to his side with a vicious slice. No doubt the goody two-shoes of the world would be rushing in--especially if they'd experienced the hospital first hand.

"Well, I did promise a date, didn't I?" He laughed to himself, grinning even as he waited. Hopefully it wouldn't take too long for someone to notice...

Quote:
Hi folks! Anyone and everyone is free to come by and observe, but please stay on the outskirts of battle and do not intervene! This battle will be taking place between Obsidian and the people quoted below. Thanks! <3

He did not want to be anywhere near the damn hospital.

"Why the hell are we even near this ******** place?"

He stood a short distance away from the hospital, the police tape stretching across a clear indication of do not enter. There was, however, no denying the sharp, strong pulse of something powerful beyond that, and it was making Remus feel vaguely angry to realize that something had gotten past it.

He turned his head to look at Sessrumnir, Remus's lips pressing together in irritation.

"I don't know what or who or whatever's inside, but I'm not sure leaving it is a good idea, either."

He knew how wary - or rather, if he was being entirely serious about things - how overprotective Sessrumnir was when it came to fighting. But Remus was no lightweight, and he knew how to handle himself. And the power signature wasn't as strong as Apatite's or the other General Sovereign's had been, at least.

Still. He wasn't sure what it was, and he knew convincing Sessrumnir to go investigate would be, to put it mildly, a challenge, especially considering the location.

"Of course it would pick here."

Jada had been spending far too much time trolling this hospital area as Scylla, trying to figure out if there were any remnants of that absolute misery of an evening- if she Senshi of the Kraken could get away with having it burned down and the ashes salted, she probably would. Unfortunately, there had been a lot of public money chucked into this new hospital, and it was apparently going to be allowed to remain open. She'd heard rumors that they intended to call the official excuse an LSD trip or some s**t; so far, she hadn't seen any formal response from any board of directors about the fact most their staff was youma.

She wasn't that sure that there would be any formal response. While she knew that they couldn't possibly have actually known about this vile plot, some corner of her brain was screaming that they had known. And thus, she was back to burning and salting.

Scylla was getting ready to leave the area for the evening when the aura smashed into her awareness like Miley and her wrecking ball. Negaverse. General. The itching and the aching down her spine betrayed Chaos' allegiance, and the sheer power behind it betrayed rank. It would be down-right rude of her not to go and say hello to whoever so clearly wanted attention.

When she arrived, the General already had his sword out, and the petite senshi considered him for a moment. "Hey handsome," she called from a distance, not diving in just yet, "Didn't you see the police tape? This is the bad touch hospital, you might not want to just be sitting around like this." Then again, who was she kidding. Jada knew him- by reputation and description, and glimpses. He had been gone a while, same as she had, but it seemed that people always came back to haunt you.

She could feel Order signatures in the area as well, now that she reached out for her own awareness of the danger she was in, and what backup she might have; Scylla pursed her lips, letting the magic begin to slide its way under her skin, too-many-arms and hunger. "So, Obsidian, may I have your first dance?" Scylla didn't wait for his reply, calling her magic to hand and sending a single thick tentacle in his direction, grasping and greedy.

He didn’t like this. He could feel the pulse of energy from inside the hospital and he had every reason to take Remus and turn around and let someone else deal with whatever it was in there.

But this was also the reason they powered up. Why even bother going out to patrol if they ran away from anything that might be challenging. And while Sessrumnir definitely didn’t like the idea of Remus being put in danger, because maybe he was rather overprotective, he knew that someone else might not be as capable at handling whatever this was as the two of them were.

He was probably biased, but Sessrumnir thought he and Remus made a pretty damn good team.

“It’s probably a trap,” he grumbled, his arms crossed over his chest as scowled needlessly at the building. There was another aura that was closing in, one of Order. Great, so someone was already trying to take on who or whatever it was inside the building.

“Be careful,” Sessrumnir said, his voice somewhat strained. And then, probably surprisingly, he took a step towards the building, lifting up the tape once he was close enough for Remus to duck inside in front of him.

Ochre sighed to himself, having reached the very edge of the hospital campus. Much of the area remained cordoned off for investigation, whereupon the yellow police tape acted as warning to some and invitation to most. Ochre himself was present not for the thrills of trasspassing into such areas, but for one very simple and very integral task: he needed to recover his keys.

Somewhere through the excitement of the evening spent in the hospital, often on the wrong side of the operation, Slate dropped his keys. He knew not if it happened when casting about through the halls, or when sleeping in the break room, or when climbing over the great pillars that fell across the walkway. He couldn't begin to guess where he might find his keychain among the now-declared crime scene - or if he could find them. The police might've confiscated them as evidence and left him without a way to unlock his own door.

And teleporting into his own apartment was getting damn tiring. Still, he couldn't admit to Porsha that he dropped his keys in the middle of a Negaverse operation. That was just bad form.

So there he was, rubbing bleary eyes as he mentally prepped himself to go diving for his housekeys. Yet, within the area, a peculiarity stood out - a single general's signature, potent and present for a quarter-mile at the least, remained at the epicenter of the hospital. Was that the general that announced himself over the intercom? It had to be, right? Who else would return to his mess but the leader of the affair or the losers who lost their keys? If that were so, then he had a few choice words about that note.

Ochre darted toward the signature with reckless abandon. He leapt from platform to platform in an effort to conserve energy, and landed with no small effort on the hospital grounds that carried the redheaded roisterer. "Hey," he called, breathless. His lack of sleep cost him desperately, it seemed.

But before he could edge in a conversation, one of the errant senshi signatures confronted the man, and wrenched a giant tentacle out of the ground like out of some Lovecraft novel. "Hey, can you not? I'm trying to have a conversation here…" Ochre complained, but his voice seldom carried with how little he tried to project.

Right on cue, he felt energy signatures wink into existence, inevitably drawn towards him. Before he had time to wonder who would come to play first, someone was calling at him, and he twisted his head with a grin to eye a young woman with silky black hair. "Oh yeah? I'm not real good with following directions. It's a good thing you showed up to save the day, huh?" But she knew him, of course she did, and his eyes widened marginally with delight as a tentacle manifested out of nowhere to lunge his way.

He was vaguely aware of the corrupted that had landed nearby and called to him, but his attention was wholly captivated by Scylla. Obsidian twisted to the side, just enough to allow the tentacle to brush past his shoulder--and felt hungry suckers rip through his clothing to bite at his skin. So they were used for more than just pleasure, then! His own blade sought to slice at the tentacle, but he wasn't fully committed to the action. No, he was seeking to close the distance between him and the busty senshi.

"Come on, darling, we can't dance if you stay so far away!" Obsidian's laughter boomed forth, and he lunged at her, intending to strike her with the hilt of his blade if she were stupid enough to just stand there and let him.

The evening was still young. People were still out milling around the city and Hy-Brasil found herself unwilling to play the game of hide-n-seek from regular civilians. There were places she could go to retreat from prying eyes and, in fact, a newer one in which she had not investigated since a horrible night spent within it's walls.

Needless to say she was unsurprised to find the area quarantined by local police. The yellow caution tape strewn around obviously had drawn attention from teens recently if the singular tag on a wall was any indication. But that wasn't what caught the woman's attention as approached. Instead it was the flare of a General's signature followed by order and another chaos signature. Immediately she was put on high alert. "Is something else going on here now?" She couldn't help but wonder if the Negaverse was coming back to reclaim their building and utilize it once again for....something. Surely another trap would be useless considering the stories that had to be floating around about the place, but who knew.

By passing the caution tape, Hy-Brasil hurried her way to the location of the signatures. They were easy enough to follow not to mention of the sound of battle was another indicator on where she needed to go. Quickly enough she found herself at the location on the grounds where a battle had already broken out. Scylla was in the midst of attacking a red haired general while a corrupt hung nearby unengaged in the scene. She could feel another senshi and Knight lurking nearby perhaps on their way to join the fray?

Scylla and General had a few choice words and instantly the squire recognized the voice of the General. "Obsidian." He had been the one to run that horrible hospital. Instantly a new rage bellowed up in Hy-Brasil. The b*****d was the reason she'd dealt with numerous nightmares that left her feeling as if she were constantly falling. Her sleep had been interrupted almost every night since. Not to mention she could only imagine what some of the regular civilians had been dealing with after that nightmare sleepover. So, even though she harbored resentment for Scylla, the squire wasn't about the woman to continue on herself. Not against two chaos agents and Hy was dead determined to get her own revenge on the General.

Tentacles were whipping about in pursuit of their target and Hy-Brasil's weapon materialized in her hand. Twirling the incense burner between her fingers she judged the best moment to jump in and found it when the General focused his attention on Scylla exclusively. Keeping an eye on the corrupt, Hy rushed in, weapon held high as she rushed the General. Her intent was to wail on the General as hard as she possibly could using her burner as a club. For now, a two on one fight was better odds for her and Scylla and if that corrupt decided to hop in and join the fray they'd at least be even.

"It's probably a trap," Remus agreed, then felt another power signature flaring nearby - strong, as strong as his own, rushing towards the Chaos one pulsing yards away. He sucked in a sharp breath, then cast a glance up at Sessrumnir, Remus's brow furrowing further.

"We can't just - leave whoever it is - " he said, because what if something went wrong and they could have stopped it? Remus ducked under the police tape and leapt nimbly over a pile of shattered glass and rubble, skipping through the remnants of crushed building and dusty drywall.

This damn place. He'd never wanted to come back here, and yet here he was, back again, not even a week later. Remus still had the stitches in his leg from the stupid giant man eating teddy bear-girl-thing, and he was not in the mood to remember what that had felt like.

Something else fluttered into his senses - another Chaos signature, still strong - and then another Order, not quite as strong as the rest, the mix of auras twisting together so that it was becoming harder to discern just how many there were altogether. Remus rounded a corner, the darkness seeping through in spindly shadows over the ground and then -

"Who the ******** - "

He didn't recognize the redheaded general, but he knew the voice. Remus's hands curled together into fists as he stopped abruptly with Sessrumnir at his side, his heart starting to pound, a look of utter disgust passing across his pale face. He knew. There were others there, several that Remus didn't recognize either, but his attention was on the General and the General alone.

"It's that ******** Obsidian."

The Chaos signature of the corrupt had been completely missed by Scylla the first time around; it was only when he quietly protested that her purple eyes flicked to Ochre, and she might have said something, but... Obsidian seemed very interested in what she had to offer and not in any way that could be construed as fun, pleasant, or engaging. (Well, possibly engaging- they definitely had each other's attention.)

"Not good at following directions?" she queried, single tentacle swinging- a deceptive ruse, to lure him closer and away from whatever magic his corrupt little ally might have. At least until the Order signatures that were drawing near were actually involved. "Do you like to be- charging." she gave an audible squeak, dancing out of the heavy blow of his blade. That wasn't what she'd meant to ask, but then again, she also hadn't anticipated he'd be so willing to get up close and personal with her.

The appearance of Hy-Brasil was a relief- Scylla liked the other woman, she'd proven herself a valiant ally so far. Others who were coming closer, though Scylla didn't dare take her eyes off the General to consider them, would hopefully be as brave.

"I feel distinctly unwooed, Obsidian. If you want to dance so roughly with little ol' me, I need a little warming up." she swiped her arm, and the tentacle stretched out for him, flailing and gnashing. But now he was too close for much more banter- she had to focus on staying out of his reach.

The Negaverse just got so handsy on first dates, after all.

This was a horrible idea. Sessrumnir didn’t exactly go around looking for fights, but he knew Remus was right in that they couldn’t just let whoever was going up against the General and corrupt senshi fight alone. Well, they could, but that would probably not turn out very good.

“Remus, don’t do anything rash,” he warned, not looking at the General, but rather his weapon. The Negaverse always seemed to be carrying around deadly weapons, and he didn’t like the idea of anyone getting hit by that blade. “She’s got this,” he tried to convince his fiance as the dark haired woman with the tentacles dodged out of the way of the heavy blow from the blade.

s**t. They couldn’t just stand around and watch, but too much distraction might cause more trouble than it’s worth. And Remus was stubborn and prone to running head first into danger without even bothering to care about how others felt. Like his fiance.

“Take out the General, first,” Sessrumnir muttered under his breath to Remus, jerking his head in the direction of the fight and then taking a stride forward. If they all teamed up against him and took him down, and then team up on the corrupt senshi, that should make things easier.

At least he hoped so.

But there was something he didn’t like about the way the corrupt senshi lingered, and he hesitated. His heart was pounding, fearing the worst if he let Remus fight the man with the huge sword, but Sessrumnir knew that ignoring the corrupt could prove fatal.

As much as he wanted to take one of them out at a time, Sessrumnir reached out to brush the back of his hand against Remus’s, and split off, turning to face the red haired corrupt instead of the General.

“You’re outnumbered. Run while you can,” he growled lowly at the corrupt, although he kept himself turned just enough to be able to see what was going on with the fight behind him. If he could distract the corrupt long enough for the others to finish off the General, that might be the difference between living and dying.

"Hey. Hey, are you listening?" Ochre waved his hands about as if flagging down an airplane, and received no overt response from the general. Really? This is really happening to me? "Okay, I guess I'll just wait here until you two are done." The Negaverse senshi huffed, clearly displeased, yet not so assertive as to move beyond passive aggression.

I guess I just have to sit back and watch him… I don't know, beat that senshi down? Or get himself wrecked? I mean, she's got tentacles… And that's really weird. Useful, but weird. Though I guess I should just copy them and help him out if I want to talk to him about this note...

Ugh. This is such a mess.

Ochre prepared himself for hailing the general again when another one of Order's shining knights cut in to attack the general secondarily. She gave no battle cry, no warning at all really, before she went in swinging at the guy's head. And if Ochre knew anything from his time as a senshi, it was to expect more to filter in until their respective signatures dispersed. In each large-scale operation or impromptu battle, they each ended in that same fashion - dogpiled by Order until numbers overwhelmed. Okay. Okay. I'm not gonna stand around and wait my turn. Just, do something useful. Tentacles over there's got useful magic packing, so if I can get her stuff and work on this … Other redhead …

Wow there's a lot of redheads here at once. Wait, focus.

Another hailed from behind him, and Ochre realized a pair of strong signatures bore down on their position. A count of four, now, in Order's court - and two in their own. If Ochre doubted his own internal plan, he now had no choice but to execute it. With an extended hand, he faced his palm to Scylla and uttered the name of his attack in short order: "Sheikh's Prayer."

infinities
please see spoiler 1!

Sailor Scout Attack: Sheikh's Prayer
Range: 8 feet
Number of targets: 1
Duration: Variable
Number of casts: 3
Ochre extends his palm out and a pentagram forms just beyond his raised hand. It glows, and a spirit-shaped energy curves and swirls out at quick speed in a straight line.
If hitting a SENSHI... The senshi incurs no damage and no repercussions from being hit. However, Ochre is afterward allowed to cast one iteration of one of the magic attacks, up to the equivalent to his level. For example, if Sailor Ochre strikes Sailor Iris with his attack, he will only be allowed to cast one iteration of her Iris Rainbow Ribbon attack. His ability to make this one cast lasts for a 20 second window.*

More energy signals let him know this was becoming quite the party, and his busty opponent was quick on her feet. She evaded his first strike, and he bared his teeth at her in a delighted sort of grin. "Can do, sweet cheeks." He leapt with unnatural speed to avoid the tentacle that threatened to crack ribs if it hit. "But first, I think you outta-"

Something hit him hard in the back, and the Negaverse General stumbled for a moment before he could regain his footing. He reacted without thinking, twisting his hips even as he sought to slam an elbow right into the face of this new opponent. He took in the details even as he put his weight into the blow, fully intending on busting her pretty nose up. Red-head, dressed like she was going to goddamn Renaissance festival. Color him less than impressed.

"Go ******** a hobbit, the grown-ups are playing." He clicked his tongue, distracted momentarily when Ochre stepped forward to join in. What a good boy. He'd get a cookie for him later. Glancing sharply back at Scylla, Obsidian judged the distance between them--and then turned to focus fully on the squire instead.

"But if you insist, we can dance instead."

It was a brief thought of victory that crossed her mind as she felt the hard impact of her burner making contact with the General's back. The shock of the hit reverberated up her arms, but she didn't notice as she prepared to go in for a second blow. Obsidian had stumbled forward, why not utilize the attack and keep pressing forward? Hammer in as many blows as she could before...

She barely registered what had happened but pain radiated from the contact point of her nose and blossomed outward. She stumbled back, nearly dropping her weapon in the process as a hand reached up to cover her face. "********." She coughed out as hot liquid was easily felt expelling itself form her nose and even some down her throat. She was forced to remove her hand and spit out the offending liquid. Not only was she pissed that she had, more-than-likely been given a broken nose, but also at her inability to dodge an attack. She should have damn well countered in some way. Dammit!

Ridding herself of more spittle he carefully rubbed away at the blood oozing from her nose. "Don't project your dark desires on me, b*****d."

A part of her was pissed that he seemed to be dismissing her. How ******** dare he. Though there was a silver lining to it, it could work to her benefit if he decided to brush her off as unworthy to fight. She'd quite happily continue to pick away at him and....

Oh, seemed he was intrigued after all once her assessed the current situation. "Such a lovely invitation, how can I refuse?" She retorted with a condescending smile. Again she gripped her burner with white knuckled and wasted no time going in for another blow. This time though, after feinting an attack with her weapon, she opted instead to stop short and kick out at his chest. She didn't waste time to see if it hit as she quickly regained her balance and moved in with an upward jab to his chin.

It was a horrible idea, but this was that damned ******** Obsidian guy - and Remus, in spite of all the signs, was not going to let a chance to punch him in his ******** smug face get away from him. He could feel the anger and the adrenaline rushing through him even as Sessrumnir was telling him not to do anything rash.

There were two of them now - Chaos, that was, but a myriad of Order had arrived at as well, and now everything was tangled together and all Remus could think about was the fact that they were once again in the middle of a fight that he wanted desperately to win.

Fingers brushed the back of his neck - a tender gesture, sweet and reassuring, and then Sessrumnir was heading off towards the corrupt, and Remus felt his chest constrict. He trusted his fiance to do what he needed to, but there was a never ending twist of concern that always stemmed from having to be separated in a time like this. Still - they had to split their attention this time, and the general was already fighting the less powerful redheaded squire.

Remus darted forward, his teeth gritted together, sliding and slipping on the debris of the hospital, an arm snapping back and then forward in a perfect imitation of a baseball pitcher.

"ROCK WALK!" Remus yelled.

"Sweet Cheeks? You sure know how to talk to a girl, Obsidian." Or was it talk down to a girl? In what generation after like the 1940s had Sweet Cheeks ever been- Focus, Jada. In fact, the senshi of the Kraken was not focused enough let the other senshi cast on her, and she jerked defensively, too late, to.... nothing? She could move... She could breathe. There weren't any ill effects, and the wild-eyed look Scylla cast to the redheaded corrupt (Ochre) was most distinctly confused.

There was another knight looking to the corrupt who had cast- he seemed less than impressed by the knight's grumbly threat. Scylla dismissed her tentacle to conserve energy, taking the moment to consider the field.

Knight, Corrupt. Squire, General. One of those things did not seem to go well with the other, and whatever the other senshi had just used on her, it wasn't hurting her, so potentially it wasn't a threat? There was no glow, like when Albali had set up an echo, so... was it a tracking ability like her spot? There was little time for Scylla to decide who to go after, and for now, she needed to focus on the one who seemed to be in greater danger- Hy-Brasil.

Or was in greater danger until the other senshi stepped into play, casting an ability of their own at Obsidian while Hy-Brasil swung at his head. Scylla shifted in towards him- the senshi's magic was one thing; the General's massive stabby-stab was something entirely different. So she moved in closer, seeking a better angle from which to cast. She needed to avoid Hy in her next attack- if there was any poor gauging of her cast, with the Squire this close to him, she could have Hy-Brasil entangled, and Obby with his stab arm free.

"Scylla's Hunger." she hissed again, re-summoning a single limb to try and swing heavily into Obsidian's middle. With Hy-Brasil bearing down, and the gravel at his feet, if they could get Obsidian onto his back-

No, she wasn't finishing that thought. But if they could get him on the ground, she could perhaps pin him with one heavy arm, or force him to teleport and use some of his energy?

"You think I'm gonna let you just leave me on the dance floor, General?"
