The Pridelands were bustling. It was enough to keep Imre on his toes. The dark lion wanted to make a note to try to meet as many lions in the pride as possible, but, some days it was like he was seeing the same faces over and over. Earlier in the day, the male scouted the terrain, watching zebras graze, and greetings the familiar faces. Now, though, while Atilla was with the gals, Imre decided that he would check out the western borders of the pride, closest to the Roguelands. He loved the thrill of what was beyond the borders, even though he enjoyed the pride life with Atilla.

Bright eyes scanned the area, looking for any signs of life. Not seeing any, the male flopped to the ground, rolling on his back to scratch an itch between his shoulder blades. Imre rolled back to his feet noting the wind shifting the tall grasses and huffed. The sun felt good against his dark coat, but the light orange hue the sky was beginning to take let him know the day would quickly become night.

He should start heading back. He did not want the others to worry.

Travel often was a long process, which was a shame. It was even longer when you stopped to play with bugs or needed to check out a watering hole you spied in the distance... still, Krys wasn't too bothered by the slow rate at which she arrived at the pridelands. Hell, she'd been half way to that other pride before remembering the boys weren't part of it! She giggled as she remembered the previous night and shook her head. She could be so stupid sometimes... oh well. She'd corrected her path, in the end.

She could see pride rock in the distance, which meant she was quite close. She smirked and mentally patted herself on the shoulder for having gotten here within a day... usually it took her two or more. Things were interesting, after all. And to think... just under twenty four hours ago she had the notion that life was boring.... well not any longer!

As the breeze shifted past and she inhaled she was hit with the odd sensation of knowing. Yes, she for sure knew the owner of that scent! She grinned brightly and hurried her pace, though the closer she got the more careful she was. When she could see the dark figure in the grass ahead she lowered closer and closer to the ground, stalking forwards before springing! "Sleeping on the job!" She shouted, as though she was personally offended.

An unexpected gasp left the maw of the lion has he was pounced, and a female’s voice entered the air. The sudden weight of the lioness caused the Imre to stumble to the spot on the ground he was just occupying.

“Sleeping on the job?” He huffed, his head tossing the bit of blonde mane away from his turquoise colored eyes. “Far from it. Resting is more like it. And, I am not on a job.” He was just a mere hunter of the pride, but he wasn’t on a hunt. At least, not a typical hunt in his mind. A hunt for others? That wasn’t really a job though.

While he didn’t see the other, her scent was familiar. Imre craned his neck, spotting the blonde tuft of hair on the lighter charcoal pelt. Her green eyes were definitely memorable, although he never did catch this female’s name on their last encounter.

“If it isn’t the plant speaker.” Imre smirked. “I didn’t expect to see you roaming so close to the Pridelands again. It’s been awhile.” If the world around them was quiet enough, it would hear a small, content purr. Imre was not a fighter by trade, but he would defend if necessary. Luckily, his assailant not posing a threat to him.

She laughed brightly at his seemingly grumpy response, cleaning a paw with little worry for her safety. She wasn't doing anything wrong, after all. "Alright, resting on the job!" Her head tilted as she seemed to think. "On the not-job." She flashed her teeth at him in a brilliant grin. "Either way I got you!" She sounded proud of that, too.

Oh! He remembered her! She wiggled slightly, happy. "Yes, I was quite bored." She admitted, her gaze playful. "And I thought you were quite fun. So here I am!' And it was quite a treat for him... maybe she should let him know that? "So... I don't want to be called plant speaker for the rest of my life... which means you can call me Krys." She was easy going, unbothered that they'd only ever met once before.

Imre raised a brow. Bored? Heh.

“Quite bored you say?” The lion voiced what he thought. “Surely you have met other interesting folks out in the Southlands than this Pridelander.” Imre paused. He didn’t think himself interesting, or intriguing really. Though, if one were to ask about his lifestyle choices they may find them different, but this lioness knew not but his name their first meeting. He did not find himself interesting from that small meeting.

“Krys, eh?” He let the name roll off his tongue. “That is a beautiful name.” Imre was always one to put on the charm, wherever he went, and whoever he spoke too. How else would he and Atilla have kept all the lovely lionesses around them?

"Mmm, I've met interesting characters here and there. But you popped into my head one evening and here I am." She wasn't shy about admitting the truth, her grin even widened. "None of those interesting characters were as handsome as you, you know." She winked and laughed freely.

She looked smug when he told her that her name was beautiful and nodded.
"I think so too. So mr. dark and mysterious, are you going to give me a tour?" It didn't seem to bother her that she didn't yet know his name... all good things would come in time.

"Well, then I am flattered.” Imre crooned, rising to his feet.

A tour? Imre thought for a moment. The day was quickly waning, so there was not much to see. To him, the pride reminded him of the Southlands. But hey, if Krys wanted to see it, then he would not skip the opportunity to show her. Maybe he could bring her to meet the others. He she found him interesting, she would probably find the same for Atilla.

“Imre,” he gently reminded her of his name, although he could get use to ‘Mr. Dark and Mysterious’. A smirk flashed upon his mind at the thought, before his eyes twinkled. “And a tour you say? Well. Sure!” He paused, thinking. “You thinking about saying in the Pridelands?” The pride was always welcoming to strangers. Just Krys’ down to earth personality would have her fit in well.

She chuckled and rose to her feet, stretching out her limbs as she anticipated a walk with the dark colored lion. "Right, Imre." The name sparked some memory of their last meeting, but she wasn't very good with names. It didn't matter, she'd hear it often enough and that would be that.

She shrugged in response to his question, mulling the idea over. She liked to travel, that was what she believed her nature to be. "Perhaps." She smiled coyly, "If something catches my interest strongly enough." She hummed and then laughed again, pleased with herself.

His eyebrow lifted again. Perhaps?

“Just something eh? Not a someone?” The dark pelted lion chuckled, lightly bump the female as he walked back towards the heart of the Pridelands. There were many lions in the lands, sure one would catch her fancy. He’d definitely bring her to Atilla later. Imre appreciated her company, he was sure the other male would to.

“Welcome to the Pridelands.” He made it sound so official sounding. The setting sun illuminated Pride Rock, casting shadows. He hummed quietly to himself, watching her reaction. He didn’t think she’d be super surprised by it. Krys did not seem like the dark pelted red lioness he had met many moons ago who was amused by everything. Still, Imre deemed it fitting for such a tour.

She practically howled with laughter at his insinuation, bumping him back easily. "We'll see, we'll see." After all, something interesting could have been a some one. She was open to it!

She snorted at his welcome, though her eyes were on priderock. It looked beautiful in the sun, even more so from this close. "I was able to see it from quite a distance... I'm excited to be able to see it up close." Yes, a tour would be good.
