(Back dating this a bit.)

Quote:
Terry was getting better, the trip to his wonder had helped - a lot. It had gotten him permission to leave their bed, so long as he took it easy around the house. Julie was still keeping an eye on them...and making sure they ate, more than he personally wanted to eat. He didn’t say anything though, he knew better, and simply ate what was put in front of him.

Tonight though it was just them, thankfully, he had earlier along with Terry presented Julie with the purple diamond choices from Terry’s wonder. Letting her pick one for herself they had kept the other few they had brought back. Shortly after that Terry’s parents had gone out and Matt was somewhere, but not home.

Rather than cook he’d ordered food for the two of them and taken to arranging the living room so they could eat and Terry could be comfortable. They had to talk and this was a good opportunity to do so, without anyone hearing them or adding in anything. It wasn’t that he didn’t care what the family thought, he did, it was just that this was a talk for them to have right now….it was a bit of a private talk...they could bring the family in later if need be.

Biting his bottom lip as he fixed the blankets and settled the reading pillow back against the bottom of the couch he went to get the food and call out for Terry, hoping the other was up and could manage to get into the living room. Maybe when this was over they could watch a movie or something on tv.

Terry was just surfing the web when Seung called him to come and eat. It had been nice to be able to get out of bed and move around on his own lately since like he had told his Mother, it wasn’t his legs that were injured, and he had been using the opportunity to check his emails and such at his desk rather than on the bed. However when he heard his fiance, and that word kept bringing a sappy smile to his lips no lie, call for him he got out of the chair and left his laptop where is was.

Moving down the stairs wasn’t terribly hard since he had regained full use of the stabbed arm after going to his wonder so he could still hold on to the railing with his left hand as he went down. Once he made it into the living room he gave Seung a small smile then looked over their set up. “I take it we are going to be eating down here then?” He asked the obvious question.

Quote:
“Yes, better than in bedroom…” A little more proper in that he’d grown up eating dinner at a table, with his family, it had been odd eating in the others room or the living room. The living room was easier for him than the bedroom though.

“Bought Italian.” Not something he normally did but he liked Italian food, the few times he’d had it, he had gone with wine sauces with pasta and chicken and seafood. He wasn’t much for the white creamy sauces they used on some dishes, too thick and just wasn’t his thing. But the food he was unpacking smelled amazing and he was already setting things in the middle of the coffee table so they could share everything, as he was rather used to eating in such a way. There was also garlic bread that he was putting into the middle of the table as well.

“Sit and get some on plate.” He offered up to the other. He had drinks set up, but nothing poured out for them.

“Dinner and talk, need to have talk and share with each other.” It was time for them to just spend some time talking, bring up anything important, as well as talk about the wedding that would now be taking place at some point. That, the time, was one of the things they needed to discuss.

Sundried tomatoes on toasted bread was the last thing he set on the table for them both and with that done he got up and moved to toss the bag and containers into the trash. Whatever leftovers they had they would pack up into tupperwares and into the fridge they’d go.

Terry gave another smile then moved over to get comfortable and got some of the food that smelled so delicious, giving Seung a kiss in thanks for setting everything up. “Sounds like a nice evening to me. Anything in particular you want to talk about first?” He asked once he was fully settled. His attention was on Seung not the food at the moment since he wasn’t going to start eating until the other man was ready as well. While he did ask the question he wasn’t sure if he was expecting an answer on a topic in particular or the answer of just random topics.

Quote:
Gathering some food onto his own plate he took hold of his fork and leaned back against the couch. He had set up a reading pillow for Terry, so he had more support and could lean his arms onto the reading pillows arms if he needed to. He had put some thought into things, he even had pushed the coffee table closer to them for ease of eating.

“Talk about new job for Quinn, though not much there. But more about wedding...what you want and what we want.” Since it wasn’t just about Terry or himself. It was a them...two people who may want two different things, or maybe not different but similar and not the same. It could go anyway with this really and he wanted to know. It was something they had to plan and work on - together and alone.

“He didn’t get too upset about you disappearing did he?” Terry asked with a wince, wondering if he should apologize to the other man. The mention of the wedding however got a sappy smile and another kiss for Seung. “If we are going to be talking about the wedding, should we be writing down everything?” He honestly hadn’t thought much about what he wanted for the wedding beyond just wanting it so he could be married to Seung but he did know that they could easily end up taking a lot of time and effort to plan.

Quote:
“No, explained to him and understanding of course.” He’d taken Quinn out to eat so he could properly apologize and explain things to the other. It had gone well, he and Terry should really spend some time with Quinn soon. He had a feeling the other could use the break. But that might also cause more of an issue for the other..so maybe not just yet.

“Could...didn’t think would need to write down things but maybe.” That was a good idea, something he hadn’t thought of obviously. Getting up, pressing a kiss to the others lips, he went to get a notebook and a pen. The lines in the notebook would help in keeping a list of things organized.

When he did return he plopped down at Terry’s side again and offered another kiss, taking the time to draw the other in for a lengthy kiss before drawing back. “Ok...eat and we talk.” But the other needed to eat.

“Good, I’m glad he wasn’t upset with you.” Terry said, relaxing a bit. While it didn’t look like he would need to apologise to Quinn, it probably wouldn’t hurt to at least ask if he wanted to hang out sometime. “What type of things are you doing at this new job of yours? You didn’t get the chance to tell me before.” He had to bite back another wince at that, guilt stirring up but trying not to let it show too much.

The kisses were welcome and returned happily when Seung got the notebook and pen then Terry gave a nod in agreement that they should get to eating. “Talk about it while we eat or wait for the wedding talk until after?” He asked as he took a bite of his food that tasted just as good as it smelled.

Quote:
“Not much yet...hasn’t taken off back in Korea. It will be there...trying to extend business there. So I am to help...since went to school for business and know enough…” Plus he was from Korea so it helped a lot. “Right now...working to help Quinn understand culture and language...words he will need.” Some of the things Terry knew by now, thanks to the time they spent together and a trip to Korea.

“Don’t know more right now. Just preparing for it...know Quinn will be running it from all I hear.” He didn’t know all the details, which he wished he did but he knew they weren’t available. So right now he was sort of a teacher.

“Talk and eat, just not while chewing.” He said nodding his head to the other as he settled the notebook and pen in his lap and went to grab his plate and eat also.

“So at the moment you are a mix between a teacher and a consultant.” Terry said with a thoughtful hum after listening to Seung explain. “Did he have any idea of when exactly the rest of the information would be explained?” He asked, wondering if Quinn even had a clue to that or if he was just as much in the dark as Seung.

He gave Seung a look that was a mix of amused and ‘of course not what do you take me for?’ at the comment then took another bite of his food. “Okay, so have you given much thought about what you would like for the wedding? Outfits, guests, location?”

Quote:
“Don’t think Quinn knows. Didn’t know this was a thing till his father said in front of us both - to my parents. Surprise for Quinn and I both.” He hadn’t even believed it at first, and why should he? But he had after his parents left, when Quinn’s father had confirmed it was a thing. He would be consulting and teaching for now...later on he wasn’t sure what he’d be doing. Perhaps still consulting and part time teaching when and where it was needed? To help guide Quinn through a culture he wasn’t familiar with?

“Never had till you asked. But...don’t want to wait long...maybe small…?” He ventured. Not wanting to say anything for sure, lest he make the other change his mind on anything he might really want. He wanted to hear what Terry, honestly, wanted as well and they could work things out from there.

“That doesn’t seem like a good business move on his father’s part, to not let anyone know what all was going to happen and when.” Terry said with a slight frown. How could anyone know what they were supposed to do if not all of the information was available to them? “Are you only going to get updates through Quinn about it? Or will his father let you know of any changes?”

Terry gave Seung a small smile then kissed his cheek. “We can aim for as small as we can get away with. I’m not sure just how small that will end up though with Mom.” While yes they would get the last say in things, he knew full well that his Mother would want to help and might end up making things a bit more complicated than the other wanted. “Any particular location?”

Quote:
“Think he isn’t sure when it will all start...still working toward it.” He said slowly, unsure but also figuring that’s what the hold up was. “Gives time to help Quinn...think he is very busy - working hard. Think it will be from Quinn updates, father will update him and he update me.” But Quinn he had a feeling was working hard...really hard. So he hoped things eased up before this business venture really started. “Won’t be easy if hiring in Korea...rather than sending people here...though better move.” Too much of a shock for people from here to go there. But to navigate what he was used to - that would be hard too. “Is why the time is good right now - to help Quinn slowly.”

“No...just not church.” Since he wasn’t christian or catholic the idea seemed wrong to him. A Buddhist temple, as there was only one in the city, wouldn’t do it either. So it was up to Terry really on this one. “Just family...maybe few other people...Quinn.” A few they were close to when powered up. “Princess and her husband?” He asked unsure. He wasn’t asking if it was ok but asking if they should as he wasn’t sure. Who else though...who should they invite, who were they close enough to?

“Makes sense I suppose.” Terry said with a nod. “Hopefully his father will be able to give Quinn an update soon enough then. Though I’m glad not knowing does give you both some time to prepare. Did you make sure to give Quinn at least a heads up what to expect if they start to hire people to go work in South Korea?”

He gave a chuckle and a small nod at that. “I can completely agree with that. What about a park or just an event building?” He offered up, though he figured they would probably have to look into different places that were wedding rentable. “Family, Quinn, yes. And I’m sure your Princess and her husband would enjoy and invite.” Trying to think just who they might want to invite though was a bit difficult. “What about Torrin and Wyatt?”

Quote:
“Hope Quinn gets more time to self….too much work.” Yet he had always been willing to overwork himself...but he would point out when others did it. He worried about his sister and about his younger cousin over working and even his older cousin, when he’d been back in Korea working hard as an idol and even as a trainee. “Not yet, will soon. Lot to take in...don’t think he will like it all…Very different standard there.”

“Either is good...need to think about weather at time but both good.” He was hoping for soon, since he didn’t think they’d need a lot of planning really, so soon should be amanagle. It meant spring time also so maybe outside. “Lily also...have been teaching her Korea - likes to sing.” He needed to introduce her to Hyeon eventually.

“Yes, should invite them also. Might not like if we didn’t. Was thinking...group is not talking, meeting...all fallen apart. Seems like just us most of the time and Matt...hyung also.” He had actually wanted to be part of a team because it would benefit them all, and so as to not feel alone. It had failed though it seemed.

“Ohh and Fai...is Cetus. I will ask him also.”

“Sounds like someone else I know.” Terry said, though with a slight teasing hint to his voice. He hoped that Seung was getting better about overworking himself but he didn’t feel like he had much right to nag him about it for a little while after what he had done while they had been separated.

He gave a hum in agreement and a nod. “Okay, so we will look into things depending on what date we want this set for.” Weather was certainly something to keep an eye on, as Terry had a slight preference for an outside wedding but would wait to see what everything would be like first. “Might as well invite everyone you are teaching, make things easier.” He said with a smile then let it drop at the mention of how the group wasn’t talking. “I’ve noticed that too. I guess we should see if being a group is even still feasible when we invite them.”

Quote:
He was getting better, he had learned...he’s almost lost the other or at least it certainly felt that way. He had work to do, a lot of it, but he was going to try and still be himself while also respecting Terry’s opinions and his own health.

“Not that, just like Lily. Invited me to birthday party...was same night you got hurt.” Seung replied, not liking to talk about that. He should have been there, even if he was no match for a General. Two bodies could be distracting and could have helped.

“Set date for soon...too much can happen between now and then. Maybe not talk about team at wedding but maybe after or before? How to start conversation though...seems like it would be awkward…” At least for him it might be. He didn’t want to make it seem like they had to all be a team or that the other two needed to head it up. It was just...odd.

“We will figure it out…”

Terry leaned over to give Seung a slow kiss when he felt how he wanted to avoid that particular topic. “Well, then she is more then welcome to come. Anyone else you can think of to invite? I think I will toss one Mitry and Ryan’s way but I can’t think of too many people beyond the ones we’ve already mentioned.” He said when he pulled back from the kiss, giving his fiance a smile.

“Alright, I’m perfectly happy with soon. Maybe we should look into what weekends would be both soon yet far enough away for any planning?” He asked then took a sip of his drink. “Maybe before? I don’t know about you but I’m hoping to be busy after it.” If his tone was flirty for the last bit is was completely on purpose. “As for how to even start it, I’m not sure.”

Quote:
Following the other's lips he sat back slowly as Terry stated to talk. “No, can’t think of others…Lily’s brother...saved me.” That was about it really. He didn’t even know who would come...who would care or be able to make it. But at least some people were likely to show up out of the small group they had settled on. The names, for now, written down as he went over them each in his head. Once they were noted he went to take a mouthful of food.

Nearly choking on his food at the others flirting he shook his head and gave the other a light shove, being mindful of the others recovering body. “Before, yes...maybe.” Since he had no idea how to approach such a topic, maybe it was best they didn’t?

“Food...mix of foods?” He asked hopefully, though he doubted he needed to explain what he meant. He could, if he had to, ask Eunkyung to help him in cooking things and maybe purchase a few things if they had to. “Can make most of it with Eunkyung...purchase few things….at least our end.” For food they would be familiar with. “What else though, for food?”

“Okay then. We can look over the list later, add and subtract people invited as needed.” Terry said with a smile. With such a small list of people to invite, it looked like Seung would be getting a small wedding after all, something Terry wouldn’t mind. At the light shove he couldn’t help but laugh and pull Seung in for another kiss. “Before sounds good.” He said then let the topic drop since there wasn’t much else they could plan for that.

“Mixed foods sounds good, we can figure out a menu when we know where we are going to have it at okay?” He had no plan on letting Seung cook and had every plan on making sure the other didn’t have to work at all during that day so at some point he would look into some catering. “Don’t worry about cooking anything, I’m sure we can figure something out. Well, what about the cake? Do you have any preference to what kind? How big? Or should we just go to bakeries and take a look?”

Quote:
“Don’t mind cooking though...but we can see how weather is...maybe something warmer if too cool out.” Or something like cold noodles if it was hot out? Though most foods would need to be made early in the day...at least it wasn’t like they’d have to cook the day before though, and risk the weather being odd and different than expected. The list was, for now, forgotten about. The had the basic list of people to invite and they’d all get an invite. Anyone they thought of after this talk would get added...and they’d minus people who couldn’t come or if anything happened, which he hoped didn’t.

“What food for you?” Curious what the other might want, though they would likely wind up talking more in depth later on about it, like exact dishes. It would certainly be an interesting menu no matter what Terry went with, just because it was likely to be very different from what he was going with - oh well. It showed off both of them well enough, at least he thought so.

“Cake...no nuts and something light flavored...nothing heavy. Fresh…”

“Like I said, don’t worry about it and we can plan the menu when we know for sure.” Terry said with a chuckle. “I’m not sure what exactly I would want for it, probably something on the lighter side but filling. Better that way for dancing.” At least he assumed there would be dancing, at the very least he did want a first dance with Seung.

He gave a nod in agreement. “No nuts and no citrus, easy enough to avoid. What about something chocolaty and fruity?” He asked after a moment of thought.

Quote:
Dancing...oh...yeah. He wasn’t much for dancing, not really good at it, and the idea was something which made him a bit nervous. He’d manage though...and then plop himself right back into a chair and settle for eating and socializing. Something light though from Terry, for food, would work in contrast to whatever he could do which was likely to be heavier in nature.

“Sounds good for food. Will work out more later.” Shrugging a bit as he took down some more food. Notes already filling to page, as more was added, he shifted and got comfortable as he reached for his drink to take a sip.

“Should be easy and yes, sounds good chocolate and fruit. Maybe berry of some kind or mix of berries?” it would be fresh and compliment the chocolate. It wouldn’t upset Terry’s allergies nor his own. So long as they kept away from those two sets of alergines he was good.

“Flowers or no and what kind? How many?”

Terry nodded with a smile then ate some more of his food. “Maybe go with a mix? I know not everyone likes certain kinds of berries but normally don’t mind them mixed so it might be the better solution.” He said with a thoughtful hum. “At the very least I vote raspberries if we don’t go for a mix.”

He paused slightly at the question of flowers then gave a careful shrug. “I’m not sure, what do you think? Would you like flowers and if so what kind?” He couldn’t think of any in particular that jump out at him and said ‘I’m perfect for your wedding!’, and anyway there could be a flower that worked in with Seung’s heritage for weddings that he knew off.

Quote:
“Mix then.” Nodding his head that was written down and another bite of food, and sip of his drink, were taken as he listened to Terry speak. Nodding his head, enthusiastically, he smiled brightly. “Mmm, yes raspberries. Fresh and clean taste - very nice.” He was sure that would go well with everything...maybe some drink to compliment it even? He kept that idea, for the moment, to himself as Terry continued on. Though he was now hungry for some berries...did they have any in the fridge?

“Not big on flowers...maybe gift for others - potted plant? Could do that...so no flowers for us but still flowers there and no cut and killed plants?” He offered up as an idea. “Think I know what would be nice...at least would like myself.” There were two actually but one was utterly impossible, it would die in a place like this...summer it would be fine but in the spring...and the winter and fall - it would be too cold and not enough sun. Plus it grew in the water.

“Alright then we can make a note to look into those types of cakes.” Terry said with a smile, glad they were getting some of this figured out. At the suggestion of plants instead of just flowers he gave a thoughtful hum. “Sounds like a good idea to me, less flowers getting thrown out after a one time use then.” He did however wonder just how many of their guests would welcome a plant gift and how many of them could actually take care of them but it was still a better idea than to just have every flower thrown out.

Quote:
He had to wonder the same...and hope plants wouldn’t just die, as that was one reason for the suggestion. Cutting and essentially killing flowers just for a single use - it was...it bothered him almost as much as watching a fish, which he was going to eat, be killed in front of him. Two different reasons, in part, but both things bothered him.

“Ok...so have guests, place idea and cake. Flowers also….what else needed?” What else was normal. He’d only been to a few weddings, when he was younger, and most were over and done with in a half hour or so, give or take, so this would be a bit new to him. Plus if he had it his way, completely, it would be just in front of the person giving the vows and with family and a few friends and nothing else. But he did want to make this something Terry wanted as well. It should be memorable - right?

“The only other thing that comes to mind at the moment is about the outfits.” Terry said after a moment of thought. “Do you want to just wear tuxedo’s or do you want to wear something that honors your home country?” He asked. It was a decision he would leave up to Seung completely as he would be happy either way.

Quote:
That had him hesitate for a moment. He’d seen both outfits at weddings and both were acceptable but price was a thing as well as accessibility. “What would you want?” Seung might as well ask. Though he knew if they went with hanbok people they invited might ask about it or find it odd. Since it wasn’t traditional and it would certainly stand out.

“Either way would be expensive...maybe my way would be more so.” He ventured. Shifting a bit in order to work on polishing off his plate of food, waiting to hear what Terry thought on it.

“I want whatever makes you the happiest.” Terry said then gave Seung a light kiss. “It maybe be more expensive if we do it your way but it will be worth it to give you something that will add to the memory even more if that is what you want.” Not to say money was no factor as depending on costs it might push the wedding back a little bit so they could save but he wanted to make sure Seung didn’t have any regrets when looking back on the day.

Quote:
Turning his head toward the other Seung gently pressed his lips to the others, in a brief kiss. “We could do hanbok...won’t have the time to make...and more than I can do…” They had more design than he’d ever done, unless it was for a cosplay and then it wasn’t as...trying and difficult? He didn’t want to mess up a honbak, it would feel really wrong if he did.

“We can find them...if you want - dark colors would be right. But after wedding should change clothing...to normal things.” Something not casual but not too formal...maybe? That he was sure he could handle if need be.

Terry kissed back and gave a hum in acknowledgement. “We could look around to see if anyone might be willing to do them or is selling some. Or we can see if some could be sent from South Korea.” He suggested with a smile. “And I am perfectly happy with them if you want them. We could look into some semi-casual suits for afterwards possibly.” It might be best to look into different fashions and ask his parents what would be appropriate for after wedding wear but it probably wouldn’t be hard to find something they both liked.

Quote:
The suggestion, of both styles of clothing, had him nodding. “That would work. Would cost more but would work.” A nod to both cultures as well, which was good in his opinion. It would be nice, as he didn’t want it all about himself or his culture or anything. “Could have family there look for us. Can get tailored here then.” To get them fitted better. That wouldn’t be too hard to do, though it might take some time. He could easily talk to some of his elder cousins or his baby sister as well if he needed to.

“Like the idea.”

“That would work. And it would mean it would take less time to get since we would just have to have them sent to us then then however long it would be to tailor them.” Terry said with a smile and a nod. It was certainly a plan he was fine with. “Then let’s go ahead with that one. Once we finish up here we can get the ball rolling with research if you like? Along with any necessary calls.“ They could probably wrap this up soon as well since they had gone over quite a bit already and had to do research on part of it already.

Quote:
“Yes...can send color ideas to family and let them pick and send to us.” He would trust his family to pick two nice hanbok, he knew they wouldn’t mess around with such a thing. They’d also understand why he wasn’t making them himself, the moment he told them why he needed them they’d know.

“Can pick colors now and call family. Fourteen hour difference...cousins will be awake and maybe not working.” He could at least send them a message and let them reply when they could. But it was a good idea to get the ball rolling now, as Terry said.

“Let’s finish up then.” So they could get to deciding on important things - big things.
