Name: Emily Martineau Nickname:Rune, Em (Only family), Rue (Only a partner) Age: 18 Birthday: August 15 Sign: Leo Gemstone:Larimar [ Listed here] Blood Type: O+ Fav. Food: PB sandwiches with Banana, Bacon, and Lettuce Hated Food: Mushrooms or Jell-o School: Destiny City University Hobbies: Gaming One thing Rune loves is late night gaming sessions with her online friends. Either they're playing a round of D&D on their online forum, or they're running an instance in an online MMO. She spends long hours yelling in to her headset, tapping in to her controllers and talking strategy. This has been Rune's way to unwind for years, and she's been playing with this particular group with about five months. Her primary MMO's are World of Warcraft and FFXIV, two subscription games that she finds provide a fair amount of challenge. Her mother has attempted to chastise her for time spent in the past, but she says that if anyone has any cares given Swimming Something Rune is absolutely in love with is being able to get out to the pool and swim. The girl occasionally moonlights as a mermaid for kids' parties, and as such, does a fair amount of training in the water. Her mother got her a spandex tail two years earlier, and ever since, Rue has practically lived in the neighborhood pool. She will go out and spend a few hours at night doing laps in a monofin and then diving and practicing holding her breath so that she can keep up the training she's been working on. It is also a fantastic form of exercise, and keeps up her lithe figure. If you talk to her, she says it helps the world slow down, lets her just exist for a few minutes.Charity Costuming Her major in costume design has lent itself to her being able to do something to give back. It helps sate her irritable demeanor, to do something for others...so Rune plays dress up. She makes costumes and goes to hospitals all dressed up, or to parties for sick kids. There's no money made off it, and she's okay with that. Why make money when she gets to see the smiles of small ones that make her day? The girl moonlights, normally, as a Mermaid or Faerie, though will sometimes take on licensed characters if she's asked. Rune has yet to take on any kind of paid gig for this, doing it only for a few local charities.Virtues:Resourceful Cleverness lends its hand to this Fashion major. Since her childhood, Rune's mother has taught her that stepping back and taking a distanced perspective on things, especially a problem or block, is a good way to see solutions you'd have never seen otherwise. People and animals alike never go in a straight line, and you have to be able to look at things as a whole in order to be able to create something new. In Rune's mind, this means being able to apply her own form of creativity to every aspect of her life. From candidate chores, to just cleaning up her space in the morning, she has developed particular ways of doing things stemming from solutions she's created from her experience. Though it lends her a creative eye, and a rather quick wit, it can get her into trouble at times, because she'll use her skill to get around problems that she doesn't want to deal with. This lends to her being rather good with words, and though she doesn't lie often, if Rue feels truly backed into a corner, she might, in order to get out of the sticky place she's found herself in. She will do her best to find the small cracks and pull them together to her advantage, or offer something in turn for forgiveness. Loyal Yet another quality that stems from her childhood. When you work with animals with your mother growing up, you learn a thing or two about loyalty. Granted, her view might be slightly skewed, but nonetheless, she knows that she can't leave those for whom she cares behind. Despite her suspicions and other parts of her nature, she will stand by those she loves with a ferocity that will surprise most. Rune knows full well that you can't just let someone who relies on you down, and you need to be able to hold the trust of those who trust you. She's not truly able to turn her back on her friends, and will often be the first at their sides. There's only one other group she'll ever be truly loyal to...and that's her gaming buddies She knows for a fact that if you don't ensure that you do what you're required, as well as the things you're asked, for those who need you, you'll often end up with those who do naught but desert you. Loyalty is a standard she will hold to, once it's been earned, and she is one of the most steadfast friends you can ask for. Intelligent One thing that Rue was raised well with, and has had since birth, was a sharp mind. The woman is almost like a tactician, with a brain that is capable of understanding puzzling situations and coming up with a creative ending. She enjoys games of wit and playing word-games with other candidates when she gets a chance. She enjoys logic puzzles as well, spending her more private time hand-crafting small rings or cubes, to allow her own brain to get a moment's reprieve from going about a million miles a minute. She loves being given new challenges, and will often take on more difficult tasks, if only for the sake of not getting bored. She manages to keep at the top of her schooling, even if her mind leads her to be a bit disorganized, and seems to manage to keep atop of her scheduling too.Flaws: Obsessive A thing that can be quite a hindrance, however, is Rue's obsessive quality. Not only does she pour herself into any task with a drive that can be almost frightening, she will push at this until it is where she feels it's perfect. She focuses intently on the person, task, or item that she's become intrigued by, until she feels that it's either mastered or well known enough that she can back down for the time being. She's driven away potential love interests before due to her own rather pushy nature, and the fact that her questions can be prying and obtrusive in nature. She's often seen following those who've caught her interest as well, leading to a bit of a concern and tentative nature around her, though this has become a bit less intense over the years. Antisocial There is one thing that is certain. Until Rune knows you...you're not likely to get much out of her. Intrinsically, this girl is very much against outsiders, both in her life, and in her home. As such, she treats them in a slightly frosty, hostile manner. She can show a range of emotions towards people who she's not familiar with, ranging from anger, to simply giving them the cold shoulder. Though she's wise enough not to mouth of to anyone above her, she's been known to treat other students like they were touched, often giving them the stink eye, and giving sharp, curt responses. It takes a driven person to get past her suspicions, and she's learned, over her time at college, that she needs to act neutral, to know more. So there's the ones she sees as a plague, and those who...well, as they say, keep your friends close...and your enemies closer.Obstinate Stubborn to the core, with a tendency towards being bull-headed, Rune isn't the sort to let ground be gained on her so easily. Once her head's in something, it's nigh on impossible to change her mind. The only people known to be able to help her do so are family, since she tends to give them a bit more slack than most. Nonetheless, this extends to classes occasionally. If she thinks the teacher is wrong about a problem, she'll likely manage to keep the correction under her breath, but she'll write it down somewhere. This has gotten her in trouble every once in a while, but trouble's fine by her....if you're wrong. She also can be stubborn about changing her schedule. She has a strict way things are done, and it's a part of her life. Routine is lovely, and though she can variate from it on her own volition, if someone changes her plans for her, she gets FURIOUS. It's not their place to change her stuff, and if they do, she'll get angry, and usually argue with them about the change til she's blue in the face. She's almost lost some dear friends over this, and gotten into fights with her mother thanks to it.
The woman who raised her might be pretty relaxed, but schedule was one thing that the girl and her family never really saw eye-to-eye about. When discussing opinions, so long as they're not being forced upon her, Rue can be rather lenient, usually letting people slide by it. Though if you're forcing it, be ready for her to tell you just how WRONG you are. This is referring to the fact that the girl is very intolerant of people who shove their views down her throat. She's sort-of okay with listening to your opinion, even if she won't take it to heart, though if you start pushing and pushing, she won't even give you that much of consideration... As for how it pertains to her moral code...don't try to change that. Just don't. You're in for a screaming match if you do, and hell, people who go against it might be in for a bit of a lecture from the petite girl. PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION Eyes: Pale blue-gray eyes with a copper ring around the center, they are almond in shape, turned down slightly at the corners, but wide enough to lend her an innocent air. Hair: With blonde hair that has slight copper tones, her hair is long, to her shoulder blades. Usually, she has it done to look almost like an undercut on the right side, with one tight braid that she calls a viking braid, ombre-fading in to blue (#00688B) about five inches above the bottom. [Style][Style + Color]Face: With a soft, oval-shaped face, Rue MIGHT almost look kind, if it weren't for the frown that is almost permanent on full, cupids bow lips. She has a few freckles across the bridge of her nose, with pale peach skin reminiscent of her Norwegian descent. Long lashes, and a slightly upturned nose makes her seem younger than she actually is, though not by much. Her ears are normal sized, pierced four times up the right lobe with a paw of larimar in the cartilage, and three times up the left. Her nose is pierced with a septum ring, and she bears a turquoise wolf running down her right arm as a tattoo, done in a watercolor style. Her makeup is usually done in darker tones, doing smokey eyes and cat's eye liner. Paw PiercingRight earLeft earTattoo ColorsDesign is CC, though should go down the entire upper arm. Septum + Makeup StyleClothes: Rune dresses in what would be called the Strega style of fashion. Dark colors, rough-woven textiles, and many different necklaces and rings that seem to be pagan in meaning. See examples Examples of Strega fashion.

The attack can be used 3 times per battle, with a 25 second duration, and a distance of 10 feet. The attack causes the sensation of doing minor burn damage on skin or thin fabric, however the player can choose to have the damage last after the magic ends. Super Sailor Scout Attack: Geyser Shower The sweeping gesture of her hand sweeps the palm in front of her face, then aims upwards towards the sky. Once the attack name is called, a geyser shoots up towards the air, and scalding water droplets hail down on her attacker, formed from the condensed jet. The attack can be used 3 times per battle, with a 20 second duration, and a radius of 5 feet. This attack can cause the sensation of mild to medium burns on contact, and it is up to the player if the damage lasts after the magic ends. Eternal Sailor Attack: Faithful Geyser Both hands create a circle around her in the air, and then aggressively shove forwards, with the ringed hand facing front, The attack name is called, and then a geyser of hot water, laced with ribbons of steam rushes from the ground, then towards her enemy in a full jet. This attack can be used once per battle, with a 45 second duration, and a distance of 10 feet that can effect any enemies in the area . This attack can cause the sensation of medium to severe burns on contact, and it is up to the player if the damage lasts after the magic has ended.

Hello, Wish! A few small things on the powered side: First, unfortunately, Mab has been taken as a name, so you'll have to select something different. When you do so, please link to the celestial body you are using -- I'd be happy to help find some suggestions if you'd like! Second, are her attacks capable of doing real damage? If so, to what level? Quote me and I'll be back~

The name was taken fairly recently, so no worries about not seeing it! Did you have a particular theme you were interested in?

Well! Here are a few water deity-based ideas, since she's Geysers: Doris, daughter of Oceanus and Tethys, who represented the bounty of the sea Psamathe, a Nereid Nereid, named for the sea-nymph daughters of Nereus Naiad, named for the Naiads, freshwater nymphs So there are a couple of options for you~
