OOC Process
Post all applications in this thread using the form below.
Your lion will be considered a full fledged member of the pride only after they have been accepted and rolled for a class.
If you do not specify a preferred minimum class, you will receive a full roll.
If you do not list rank preferences, you will be assigned hunter (or slave, if applicable).
IC Process
All interested rogues are brought before the ruling Monarch (and their consort, if applicable) for an interview where they formally state their intention to join the pride. If their interest is deemed sincere, they are introduced to the Shaman and review the social hierarchy of the pride. Great emphasis is placed on what it will mean if they awaken in the Low Class - slavery is a very real possibility for any hopeful member and release is extremely uncommon. If they can't accept that they may be required to work for a share in the Great Lion's light, they will not be allowed to stay.
Until they are initiated, all new members are considered a part of the Middle Class. Adults and adolescents are initiated under the first full moon following their petition to join while cubs wait until adolescence. The initiation ceremony is performed by the Shaman and Nurse Priest(s), who use a special plant (moon flower) to put the initiates to sleep. The Nurse Priest(s) and Rogue Guard(s) watch over the sleepers until they awaken.
Newly initiated members take part in a welcoming ceremony where they were formally introduced to all Priests and Heads before deciding on a rank and finally getting the opportunity to settle into their own class. Classmates are expected to introduce themselves and be welcoming to all new members.The Rogue Rolling System
The moon flower is only effective for up to 2 weeks. As such, the moon passes through each phase/class only once during the ceremony. The lower the number they roll, the sooner they awake and the higher their class.
1 = Full Moon, High Class
2 = Waning Gibbous, Upper-middle Class
3 = Last Quarter, Middle class
4 = Waning Crescent, Lower-middle Class
5 = New moon, Low Class

Open Ranks:
Lord, Lady - High Class only
Guard - Middle Class and higher
Hunter - Lower-middle Class and higher
Youth - Cubs only, get a class roll when they grow
Slave - Low Class only
Specific class requests should be made sparingly.
Random is fun, embrace it! But most requests will be approved.
No existing rogue characters have to include Low Class in their roll.

Why are they joining? Kuimba has been alone with her familiar for far too long, having been born with a beautiful, harmonic voice, Kuimba loves to sing and dance and while this has gotten her some preferential treatment in the rogue lands, it has also caused her some trouble. She feels her talents would be much better suited to a pride where she can exchange her songs for food and maybe some lion shaped companionship, as though she loves her familiar the waterbuck really doesn't get her..
Kuimba has always considered herself as born under a lucky star (despite a few set backs) and upon hearing of the pride that worships the moon (that shed considers to be the brightest star in the sky) she has made a beeline for the pride in the hopes of finding a home and ending her eternal travel.
