There was something peaceful in the air.
Maybe the way the breeze was perfect over lush green grass, or maybe the way the stars flickered in the air. Perchance, it was the firefly that flit to and fro, this way and that, but it was peaceful -- a peace roaming rogues did not often see.

Ifa -- yes, Ifa felt more comfortable in her cubhood name than her grown - watchrd it all with the fireflies dancing, reminding her of mountain and swamp -- the spirits willing themselves to and fro, and the lioness hummed silently to herself, the very tip of her tail twitching as she contemplated nothing at all. For a perpetually active lioness, she was still and unmoving. Just as stone. The lioness sighed peacefully, but before she dropped her head to sleep, the snip snap of twigs giving way to large paws caught her ear, and the lioness raised her head, looking over as the massive red form of Athena approached, looking simply apologetic and sorrowful for disrupting Ifa's peace.

"You've been gone a while Athena. Shivshiv's been beside herself panicking." Ifa shrugged, and the great red lioness -- Athena; Mioyo, both names felt right now, rumbled apologetically.

"I'm sorry." She said. "I had... Found those I had left behind leaving my home." Mioyo pad over, laying at her side, and Icfa's ears flicked, watching before she sighed.

"Makes sense. So... They use...?"

"My old name. It still... Suits me. As does my new. I'm told-" Mioyo breathed. "-That it marks me a fit lion for the pride nearby. The demons." Mioyo looked to her forepaws, and ?Ifa watched, tail switching this way and that silently before she shrugged, stretching., The lioness seemed contemplative, and Ifa wasn't about to argue her out of it, instead flickering a trademark grin.

"Nothing wrong with that. There's all sorts and I've heard tales of some prides and stuff believing in good demons. Helpers." Ifa stretched, and nodded. "To hear some of my family tell it, I've demon blood. But a voice? Not really. Think I got all the bite, no bark."

"If so then... Where will you go?" Mioyo asked. Ifa shrugged, expression idle. "Probably? No idea. Noit yet. I've seen others prowling, but nobody's come at me. Might see what all that's about. But for a home... I dunno. Where would I belong?"

Silence reigned, and Mioyo studied the lioness by her in surprise as she groomed her paws, shifting and stretching before the lioness nosed her. Ifa looked silent, and Mioyo sighed.

"The only one who can answer that is you. I'm sure your family wouldn't mind you nearby, but they would also want you happy. So only you can answer that question."

"Then for now I guess I'll just wander around. Poke at prides and see where I fit. Lil' movin, lil' shakin', good times." Ifa stretched, entirely calm as the older lioness regarded her in surprise. At her age.... At her age Mioyo had met a male, was scrappy, firm in her resolve. This lioness...

Was entirely undriven and had no plans. Truthfully, it was dangerous. Mioyo had to think, before recalling a familiar white and brown pelt -- a familiar white and born pelt accompanied by a large male that looked related, and she smiled.

"I have a grandcub on the border whom may appreciate someone to keep and company aside the male I spied." Mioyo noted -- a male she was curious of herself. Ifa blinked, thinking carefully.
]
"Oh, that's something. I could at least meet them. What are they like?" Ifa knead the ground thoughtfully as Mioyo thought back, sighing before frowning.

"She... Is sad, often. Last I knew plagued by negative visions. She had a cub stolen, and didn't truly recover from it. I hope to find the poor cub alive one day, but..." Mioyo trailed off, then blinked. Ifa's ears were alert, and her face was excited, and beaming.

It was the face of a creature given an idea, and Mioyo's expression went flat.

"No. You've never seen them. NO."

"But I can ask questions!" Ifa's reply came almost too quickly, and Mioyo made a disgruntled face, side-eying the lioness warily. When Ifa didn't budge, Mioyo groaned.

"Why? It might hurt. There's no assurance you might succeed." Mioyo warned. Ifa shrugged, beaming.

"Who knows? I'm odd -- I find the oddest lions and so on, so it's not impossible. Ifa stretched, nodding towards the roguelands, and grinned. "But difficult. Still, I don't accept impossible, so..."

Mioyo scowled.

"Don't you dare."

"...So you can bite me."

Mioyo buried her face in her paws several minutes, Ifa wiggling in place, seeming thoughtful before Mioyo swat her, frowning.

"Ifa..."

"What?" Ifga froze, looking up with a pout. She was excited -- not so excited sleep escaped, but wiggly, and Mioyo scowled, nodding.

"It's dangerous alone. I know you roamed alone a while, but again? Is that safe? You can't expoect--"

"I can find companions. I did it before. It's not any different from my pilgrimage, lady." Ifa sighed. "I'll be fine. My paws want to roam anyhow, right? So why not help others? I've roamed since adolescence; even when I returned, it wasn't for long, because home broke apart. I can do this!"

Ifa's voice grew desperate, and Mioyo went quiet several moments before sighing. One paw raised, batting Ifa softly to calm the lioness, and Ifa looked hurt, eyes tearing up.

"If Miira doesn't mind and can give a description, so be it." Mioyo said, tone quiet. "But only then, and you still should take someone. Anyone will do. Anyone at all. Erm, minus prey." Mioyo nodded awkwardly, Ifa's brow raising. Ooooof course there would be conditions. The lioness was a fussy one, Ifa knew that, but this was...

Not a surporise really, and Ifa rolled her eyes, sighing.

"Fine, fine, fine, but only because I don't want no claws in mah butt." Ifa huffed, and shook her head, Mioyo smiling as she nodded.

"I do appreciate it, dear." The larger lioness assured. "Truly."

"Yeh, yeh whatever."

Slightly deflated, Ifa stretched, yawning before flopping, eying Mioyo.

"Yanno. Sleep is good. Can I sleep now?" Oh, it was a sudden turn, but Ifa was grumpy, the cue noted by Mioyo as she nodded, stretching herself before flopping.

"Fine. Come morning, we'll see to my grandcub."

A yawn, and Mioyo rest her head on her paws, Ifa settgling before the peace of the evening lulled them to sleep.
