Ujana ll 1

Ujana hated waking up early.

It always left her in a pissy mood for the first hour, at least, and she often found herself less than motivated for much of anything for the rest of the day. It's why she found owning a tavern so much more preferable than anything else; the disreputable crowds, good drinks and late night shifts really worked out for her.

Her son, however, didn't seem to feel the same way.

For the most part he too seemed to not like early mornings, but for some reason every time he would come back from spending time with his father he woke up so damn early. She blamed Odhran. He was a 'rise with the sun' type, and was no doubt indoctrinating their son into his strange ways.

Since she was already awake Ujana had decided it was as good a time as any to get in some physical exercise, and start teaching them to Eurig. "We're going to start with push ups, okay? They're simple so just follow me." Amid the glowing forest outside of her tavern, Ujana was pressed low to the ground, slowly demonstrating proper form before looking over at the boy to see how he was doing.

Ariya post 1

Ariya wasn't much of an early bird either, so she squinted in the filtered light as she blinked. She was watching Ujana show Eurig how to work out and it was mildly amusing. Giving a yawn she stretched and felt her back pop a few times before she finally let her arms drop to her sides.

With a lazy demeanor the tall alk made her way closer and leaned against a nearby tree to simply watch the spectacle. Her dreads were still in a tangled mess since she hadn't bothered to straighten them or even put them up. She would worry about them later when she bathed. For now she would bask in the sight of her girlfriend.

Eurig ll 2

His fingernails dug into the ground as he pushed himself up, trying in vain to make his back a little straighter. He couldn't seem to get the hang of it! His momma made it look so easy; she was even talking while doing it, but Eurig was doing good to just avoid calling it quits.

"No, I'm-" He grunted and fell flat on his stomach. When he moved to sit up, moving his legs under him, he saw his sister looked down on him. There was now a fresh layer of moist dirt covering his tummy and cheeks, with some mixed into his hair.

He looked positively dejected. There was a little quiver to his lower lip, but he never cried.

Ariya Post 2

Through sleepy eyes she watched the lesson go on and smiled at her daughter when she came out as well, though it seemed like the younger Alk was more chipper than she. Her eyes went toward Eurig then as he seemed to attempt to speak while using his young muscles. It didn't work out too well and she gave a visible wince once he hit the ground. Maternal instincts had her wanting to go over and make sure he was alright, but she stayed put. Ariya didn't want to seem as though she was babying him.

As Ujana seemed to finish her set and speak to her. "The bed was empty." Believe it or not she had grown used to having her long haired leafling in bed next to her so when the woman was absent she tended to not sleep well. With a sleepy smile she motioned toward Eurig. "What prompted this?" She was all for training kid when they were young but she was hesitant when it came to their precious little boy.

Ujana ll 3

"He's been saying that he wants to learn so-" She shrugged her shoulders. "Kid's got too much energy anyway. Best way to burn through it." There wouldn't be any hard core routines until he aged a little more, but for now getting a handle on the basics would do him some good. Ujana raised her hand to wipe some sweat off the back of her neck.

"It's hard enough chasing after older kids, but when those kids are twice your height and twice as strong he'll need every advantage he can get." Just keeping up with her half-breed cousins had been hard enough. She couldn't imagine trying to stay in league with Subira and her friends. Eurig seemed to do just fine around the shifter kids, but there were a few alk families living on Jauhar that gave Ujana pause. Right now he didn't seem to mind falling behind, but she didn't want him to always come in last.

Ariya Post 3

She listened to Ujana as she explained the reasons behind the workouts. It made sense in a way. Though Ariya had no illusions that the boy would fall behind. Subira adored him too much to simply leave him and then there was his sheer will. After all, he had a powerhouse mother in Ujana. "I think he'll be just fine."

The alk held out one arm in a lazy manner, motioning with her hand for her partner to come to her. Ariya wasn't so keen on the early mornings so she wanted to cling to her leaf temptress.

When her eyes fell on the two kids together she smiled to see how caring Subira was with Eurig. Even more was the way he seemed to accept her. "Mm, makes me want another."

Ujana - 4

"He better be, or he'll get his butt whooped." His father was a brilliant man, but Odd had no passion for fighting what so ever. He had agreed a long time ago that if Eurig ever picked up a training schedule that he would over see it as best he could while the boy was in Tale. But, how was she to know he would keep his word?

Ujana made her way over to Ariya and slid up closer to the alkidike, wrapping her arms around the taller woman's waist with an aggravated harumph. She was tempted to snug her face into the taller woman's torso, until she spoke and Ujana snapped her head up. "Oh no, I am not doing that again. That's a one time deal, baby; I'll adopt if you want, but there are no more kids coming from this-" Ujana motioned to herself, "-okay?"

She loved her kids more than life itself, but there was no way in hell she was going to give birth again.

Ariya Post 4

There was a roll of her eyes and a shake of her head as Ujana said that Eurig would get his butt whopped. As if either of them would allow that. Or Subira for that matter. When her favorite earthling was in her arms she grinned and was going to rest her head atop her but was caught off guard by the sudden head snap. "Eh..?" Ariya had to blink several times as she caught up to everything that Ujana was saying. Finally she started to laugh so hard that her chubby middle started to jiggle. "I can't give you what the earthling man did anyways.." She took a minute to calm her laughter and sucked in a few deep breaths.

"I meant that I would like to ask Aisha for a daughter with you. No uh.. birthing.. required." She cringed at the word as she recalled the moment Eurig was "bloomed."
