Hobbies:

Music - From a young age Joachim’s life has revolved around music, from the age of five he began piano lessons and various woodwinds extending to flute and oboe. Music is important part of his life and when he isn’t teaching students how to play he is in his spare time writing his own songs.

Tea Parties: - Joachim loves tea, enough that he when his schedule allows it has tea time at least once a day and loves to host small tea parties for others to attend. He has a vast collection of various teas from local to imported and can tell you almost where every tea originated from.

Shoe Shopping: If anything Joachim has a large assortment of shoes, males, females, doesn’t matter if he likes them they are his and it is his favorite hobby to do when he is bored. He is particularly fond of buying anything with more with a slight heel to them, boots especially, and even more so interesting women’s heeled boots. If you ever want to see his collection he would be more than happy to show it off, and more than happy to go shopping with anyone who wanted a shoes maniac to come along.

Virtues:

Dedicated -- Joachim first and foremost will put all his attention and focus into whatever matter is given to him. Be it his work, or completing task pertaining to the orchestra/students he will put all of his focus on completing the task and making sure the task is done completely and as flawlessly as he can. He will be loyal and particularly unwavering in his feelings once he set his goals and mind to a purpose. He has no problem pushing others to do the same seeing that doing one’s only best is the only way to achieve completion.

Confident: -- There isn’t a lot that can bring Joachim down, he has a lot of trust and faith in his own skills and abilities that there isn’t anyone who could knock him down and not a whole that would stop him from his goals. He doesn’t need pep talks to encouragement instead he will step into whatever situation with enough self assurance that he can handle whatever is thrown at him.

Flaws:

Selfish -- Joachim is spoiled, he comes from a rather well to do family and has all his life gotten use to getting everything handed to him and never want for anything. He does not take kindly to those who do not give into his whim nor does he take kindly to those who get in his way of obtaining something that he wants. He can come across rather rude, blunt, and cruel especially when someone finds a way to be on his bad side.

Critical: -- Joachim expects perfection from most, he expects others to put the same dedication and time that he does into activities that he participates in and expects others to do so in an almost if not completely flawless manner. He has no issue telling someone that they are wrong, doing it wrong, and severely criticizing them for their lack of capabilities of being intelligent enough to get something simple right. He is forthright, easily irritated by naiviety, and more than happy to easily point out why he doesn’t like you and give a list from the most petty flawed reasonings.

Joachim comes from an old established family, rather wealthy and still under the care of his father who is quite a proud man. They had high hopes that their son would show some interest in being some sort of socialite but Joachim took more of an interest in music something that he had a deep talent for as a kid. As long as he stays out of the gossip column they don’t seem to mind that he spends his days composing or teaching at the university. Joachim does have a pet black fur mouse named Merel whom he adores greatly.

• Johan von Helmar - Joachim’s father and sole heir of the von Helmar estate. He is about as tall his his son with just as unruly red hair as his, despite a man of few words he cares a great deal for his family and maintaining image.

• Siv von Helmar - Joachim’s mother, unlike Johan she had a cruel family and being born illegitimately made her status worse. Despite all that Siv is rather a fierce woman and is quite skilled at crushing opponents in the courtroom as a lawyer. Most would rather avoid her if at all possible.

• Freja von Helmar - Joachim’s younger sister, and about as much as a brat as Joachim is if not worse. She has long blonde hair and is rather precious looking despite her talents in anything that involves fighting and battle.

Joachim is quite fond of finer things, he likes elegant clothes, elegant food, and even more so elegant living spaces. He has no issue showing disdain when things are not up to his standards, even Merel his pet mouse lives rather lavish as a pet. He is also quite skilled in fencing, being about the only sport Joachim ever considered worth his time.
