Physical Description: A man of average height, V'kenti has some hidden muscle in his slim build if one were to look closely enough they would notice. His black hair is kept short but long enough to run fingers through it and mess it up which is a common look for him. Early gray streaks can be found throughout but not too many, he's not salt&pepper yet! A thin face with strong cheekbones house kind hazel eyes. A characteristic lop-sided smile can be found from him as a side effect of biting his cheek when thinking.
Personality:
One of V'kenti's defining features is his ability to work in a team. He has a certain "can do" attitude that leads him to strive to do everything he can. If something is needed, he'll likely be one of the first to volunteer. As a bronze rider, he knows some things he's just going to have to do, regardless of if it's pleasant or not, and he's okay with that. Better him, who won't balk at something, than someone who would have issues getting the job done. This does not mean that he is immoral, and there are certainly a few things he may hesitate to do (very few) but in the end if he's ordered to do so, he'll do what's needed. In this way, he is very easy to teach. To him, there's no such thing as "you can't teach an old dog new tricks." He's not old to any extent but will never miss the opportunity to learn something. He can often be found with his nose in a book which has side effects of it's own.
With his nose always in a book and his general quiet nature, it often makes him a loner. While he has no problem working with people, things don't normally translate well outside of the job. He would tend to withdraw inside himself and Taka when some things get awkward. V'kenti can be a little over-attentive to things people say and do. He'll over think it and then it may be in the back of his head as he thinks about various things they could have meant. Acting on these thoughts is a completely different thing. They'll often stay just in his head as his job comes first and foremost but it does contribute to why he tends to just be alone.

History:
He was born a weyrbrat in the traditional High Reaches Weyr so he was able to utilize the ability to stand from an early age as their traditional values were never abandoned. Unfortunately for him, it would be a number of years before he would impress. Up until then, he would do anything people asked of him, in an almost over-eager way. He wanted to do everything he could because maybe, just maybe it would help him impress the net time. Whether it did or not he would never know.
At age 18, he impressed his similar in nature bronze. After becoming a wingrider, they would do whatever various jobs were passed their way, eager to do what was needed and excell at it. So, when thread returned to Pern, they along with the rest of the weyr, were ready. Dragon and rider agreed on much which aided their ability to fight thread as their was never any hesitation in what to do. Did the dragon lead or the rider? Both, would be their answer.
More recently, however, Takarath flew in Uridith's flight and won her favor. Both know the kind of thing this means and are willing to do whatever was necessary.

Physical Description: Taka is easily described as average. Middle size for his color and doesn't excel at any one thing. (I left this CC so I'll fill this in more when I get artwork)
Personality: Taka can be described in a similar manner as his rider. He too will do almost everything that is asked to him, but has a much firmer line than V'kenti. He'll be more willing to say "Well, maybe not this time." Which can sometimes give V'kenti a way out of something he might not have known how to say "no" to. Taka is just as hard working and good at teamwork, if not better. He's not quite as much of a loner as his rider but is often forced towards it because of his rider's nature. Out of the two, he's the "social butterfly". Yet, he's still the strong and silent type, well, as strong as he can be. He's a dragon of few words and chooses his words carefully. A learned trait from how much V'kenti reads into everything.
With his rider almost exclusively, and maybe the rare other they bond with, he can make the off handed comment that could be described as humor. Sometimes, it's lost on V'kenti but that doesn't keep Taka from making them! Now that he was chosen by Uridith in her flight, he'll feel a certain protectiveness for someones other than V'enti. Perhaps not as much as Uridith but still more than he's used to!
