Liio
Liio was cold. Why was it so cold? The land was cold, his feet were cold, and his nose was cold. It was so different than Tale, so frustratingly cold like a night without the moon. He tried complaining, but all his family seemed to do was throw fur at him before telling him to keep moving. However, it did seem his father was a bit more impacted by their temperature change than their mother...but it was her home they were going to.
Glancing over to his sister, he moved close to share her warmth and whisper in her ear, "Why is it so cold here?" He hissed out, knowing his mother would most likely encourage him to keep moving to stay warm yet again. Instead, he wanted to whine a bit to the only other person who probably felt his pain, "And why is it so ugly. There's no grass, or sand, just hard stone and dirt...and big rocks that reach the sky..."

Elna
Elna brought the furs she was wearing even closer to her body and huffed out a breath. With a little bit of surprise, she watched as the smoke came out of her mouth and floated up before disappearing. It was neat, and it peaked her interest, so she blew out another one. They were on their way to her grandma's and grandpa's home in Zena, and when her mama had said it was cold, she wasn't thinking it could be this cold. She felt like the ice was going right down to her bones she was so cold.
Her brother, wrapped even tighter than Elna was, huddled over to her and whined in her ear, low enough their mama couldn't hear. "Mama couldn't answer that." She told him. Elna had asked her mama just why it was so cold in Zena, what made it cold, and what cold felt like, but she didn't know. "But it's not all bad. Look what you can do." She said with enthusiam before bellowing out another cloud of breath. She turned to face her brother and huffed out another breath in his direction.

Liio
Liio watched as the breath puffed up to the sky, quickly fading away. He looked in front of him to do the same, before wiping at his nose. It was cold at the tip and he felt the inside starting to harden up like it was becoming solid. It was uncomfortable, "It is pretty..."
He continued to watch her breaths as they puffed out, before pondering some more, "Maybe dad knows why it's cold?" He glanced over to where his parents were ahead, before shaking his head, "He looks just as cold as I feel..." Liio grumbled before hunching his shoulders.
"You don't think we have to climb those mountains, do you?"
He knew the word mountain because they lived close to Sauti, so many Wind people came through telling stories of their land. There were interesting stories about birds who lived high in the sky atop those mountains.

Elna
Elna shot her brother a sideways glance, stopping her breath puffs. "Daddy wouldn't know. Not if Mama didn't." She probably held her mother on the highest pedastal she could, probably higher than she should, but she thought her mama was the smartest person she knew. She looked to their dad and shrugged her shoulders. "I don't think Daddy likes the cold." He looked like he could have been flat out shivering under his big poofy fur coat.
"I hope not." She commented to her brother's question. "They're so high up how would we even get there?" She traced the shapes of the points with her finger in the air and stopped when she reached the last one in front of her. "Do you think it'll be fun in Zena?" She asked Liio.

Liio
Liio rolled his eyes at his sister, what a momma's girl. Always rushing after their mother like a child. But hey, he was a fan of his father, so maybe he shouldn't think too much on it. His mind shifted as she brought their father to his attention, "He is shivering more than we are!" He said with a giggle, grinning at the thought a bit.
"I wonder if a Kinfa could fly up there...high above the clouds?" The clouds were dark, heavy, and looked like a wild brook almost. He narrowed his green eyes and let out a huff, "Not if it is this cold...how am I suppose to run around if I can't feel my toes?"

Elna
Elna giggled with her brother at their father. He was always so funny and dramatic about everything that it made the thought of him shivering even better to her.
Elna put a hand to her forehead, looking up towards the clouds way up in the sky. It looked so stormy, but she guessed that made sense when there was snow everywhere already. She had to ask her mother earlier what that stuff on the ground even was. "Do you think they can make it through the clouds?" She asked her brother back.
She made a face at Liio when he said he didn't think it would be fun. "I think it'll be fun." She shrugged her shoulders and looked at her brother. "It's not Tale. This is different than normal." It was a new place, how much could they complain when they had only been home so far. The sky seemed to open up and more snow started to fall from the sky. Elna watched it with curiosity in her eyes. She wished she knew what made the snow fall so slow. "Look at it fall." She chirped out with excitement.

LiioLiio shook his head, "It looks like water up there...it's probably not safe enough for them to fly through it...they might drown." It only made sense. It looked like a river, so why could they survive up there in the churning cloud cover. It made him a bit nervous, thinking the clouds might fall down, "Most Kinfa can't fly in storms, remember?" Only the best riders could survive the storms. Liio turned back to his sister as she tried to justify the fun of the cold, before she directed his gaze up to the stormy clouds. Then they began to grow fuzzy, "Is that snow? It's so slow..."

Elna
Elna scrunched her face trying to think about the clouds overhead. It made sense... but at the same time it didn't. If it was water, why wasn't it down here on the ground? What held it up in the sky? She silently mulled over all of the unanswered questions in her mind before she snapped her head back to her brother.
"I think it's snow. It looks like tiny pieces of the snow on the ground." She held out a hand and caught one in her palm where it instantly melted. "It doesn't stick around long though." She commented. Snow was strange stuff. "I wonder why you can't catch it?" She questioned aloud, trying to catch a few more pieces with her hand, all of them instantly melting into drips of water.

LiioHis face was a bit confused as he looked up too, watching as the flakes floated closer to them. One suddenly touched his face, and he brushed his cheeks to get it off. It was cold, but suddenly wet as it melted. "No, it melts..." He mumbled, looking to watch her try and catch them with her palm. He had his own covered and didn't want to risk his fingers getting stiff by trying to catch the things. "Maybe it needs to be together with a bunch of others to stick? Like the ponds back home?"

Elna
Elna shrugged her shoulders at her brother's reasoning. Maybe, but could she really be sure? How do you test it without trying to get a piece at a time to stick it together with the others? She had to just let it go, assuming that the ground knew what it was doing since there was piles of the stuff all over the place.
"Liio, let's run ahead. We can get to the parts where there's no footprints yet." She suggested, getting herself ready to spring into step. There had to be more fun to this snow stuff than Liio was acting like at least.

LiioHe didn't seem to notice her thoughts, instead looking around at the snow as it begun to get thicker. It was like flower petals now, but small ones, and drifted down with the wind. It was beautiful, and alluring, and something he really couldn't take his eyes away from. Maybe this cold wasn't too bad, if he got to watch the snow fall down. Turning, he glanced to his sister as she spoke, looking confused for a long moment. Then he looked ahead, and wondered what it would be like to run. At least he'd be warm. "Okay...." He responded slowly, wondering if it would be hard to run through it like it was for water. It was more solid, maybe it was like sand. He straightened his outfit, looked to his sister a moment longer, then grinned a bit devilishly and took off past her toward their parents, and soon ahead of the two.

Elna
She watched her brother thinking things over, using her time to kick the snow around her with her small feet. But without warning, Liio took off, leaving her in the dust. She squared up her shoulders and took off after him, feeling the biting cold on her face. The snow was so fluffy. They were ahead of their parents now, running farther and farther forward. She felt her side starting to hurt so she let her feet drag in the snow until she was almost stopped. She bent over to scoop some of the snow up and patted it down into a hard ball. With a devilishness in her eyes she raised an eyebrow and hooked the snowball at Liio.

LiioHe noticed that his sister wasn't following, at least from the lack of huffing and footsteps in the crunchy snow. Laughing a bit to himself, he stopped and spun around on his feet to gloat, only to see her arm swing in the air, and a white thing come sailing toward his face. He barely was able to move before it hit his shoulder, and he let out a gasp. What did she just do? Looking at his shoulder, he realized it was snow. She threw a ball of snow at him. Looking back at her with narrowed eyes, he examined her features and how far their parents were. Before suddenly bending over and beginning to build his own ball for retaliation.
