We're weird--hooray!!! 4laugh blaugh rofl So, anybody else feel like saving the world today?

MST3Kakalina - I think it's because they are supposed to be very different signs. Cancer is connected with security, family, and is supposed to be one of the most emotional signs of the zodiac. Aquarius is meant to be independant, freedom loving, and most notably, emotionally detached. I'm not sure many Cancerians would happily tolerate the way Aquarians tend to be humanitarian to the extreme, but detached from the problems of those immediately around them.

That said, there are always going to be exceptions. There might be something in your chart that leads you to get along with them, or makes you a bit more similar to them, perhaps? For what it's worth, I haven't met any cancerians I have major problems with - but I've only met a few.

Aquarian emotional detachedness is kind of hard to describe. They are very humanitarian and concerned with the greater good and all kinds of large scale causes - I think it's in their personal relationships with people they actually know that they're supposed to be detached.

I think it could have to do with something I read once, which was that Aquarians are in love with the idea of people, but that actual people can become a bit much for them. So it might be easier for them to empathise with masses of suffering people they don't know than it is for them to deal directly with the people they do.

I also read somewhere that an aquarian will always be willing to listen to your troubles and help you, but that you have to be aware from the start that in their mind, they're treating you as case study no. 73. And, bad as it may sound, I think that's pretty much true.

And of course we have to remember that every aquarian has other things in ther chart, for instance, moons in water signs and so on. It may be that they're not too emotionally detached, but that their emotional side is springing from something other than their aquarian sun.


Funnily enough, I blame my pisces moon and rising for the fact that I need security and stability more than most aquarians. sweatdrop I guess it's half way between two extremes.

One of my best friends on the planet is a Pisces. heart He brings out the absolute best in me. Conversely, one of the very few people who bring out the worst in me is a Pisces. She is on the cusp of Aries with a cancer Rising and I really think she got all of the negatives of those signs and only a few of the positives. xp

For her, every reaction is kneejerk emotion. Everything is directed @ her or about her and it drives me crazy. I had to work with this person, too, which is even worse for me. As a professional, the workplace is where most of my Aquarian logic and oganization comes through. I literally said good morning to her once and she stared daggers @ me and turned away. Made me think of that old joke, "Good morning!" "What's that supposed to mean?!" rolleyes She's one of the main reasons I quit that job. This semester, though, I 've learned that she quite possibly meets all the criterion for Passive-Agressive PD, so that explains a lot.

Some Cancers get on my nerves because I do not like unpredictability in people. Smiling to swearing @ the drop of a hat and you have no idea why. I know a Cancer and a Scorpio/Cancer Rising and they can get on my last nerve. But they're not all like that by any means. Like Wolf said, depends on what else is in your chart. 3nodding cool
