Kai hadn't been on leave. Hadn't been away from his home state since Deus. He wasn't sure where to go. He left his jacket at hid apartment and waited for Pey.

He had no clothes. He came to the island with some sneakers and some clothes but hadn't had much cash. He had no connections he could double his money. The pay was nice.

"Where we go at? I'm....kinda mess to get s**t?"He couldn't excuse the fact he was both tall and wide. It made shopping hard.

Peyton looked up at him, head tilting to the side in a thoughtful manner. "I was thinking a mall, one of the nice bug ones. They usually have the best variety of stores." Humming, she drew her phone out of her pocket and pulled up the map app. "Is there anywhere you used to like to get your clothes at?"

Dressed in civies, Peyton came bouncing up the path to the lighthouse with a messanger bag slung over one shoulder, and a hoodie tied around her waist. "Kaaaaaiii! Are you ready?" They were heading somewhere warm, somewhere where they could hit all the places Kai had expressed a desire visit.

"I.....didn't often have much. I'd thrift a lot." He managed, starting to wonder if shopping for clothes might have been a bad way to spend a day off island.

"There was a place called Big Mackies down on St. Patterson I went to, but.." He shrugged. "Don't know no place here." All his places he knew, his go-to spots, were all unavailable to him. He wasn't even sure if places were now closed or if anyone had died in the time he was gone.

Taking his hand, she'd lead him into the lighthouse, right up to the technician, and then through the portal once it had flared into life.

They stepped out the other side into what appeared to be a nicely kept park in late afternoon. "There's a place just past the trees. This was the best place to arrive."

"Whelp," she started, a hand raising to scratch at one cheek as she considered their options. "I'm thinking like, a big mall might have something. And if not, a city big enough to hold a big mall probably will." Maybe they'd get lucky and find a Big 'n Tall. They probably had a lot of things in Kai's size range.

And what better big mall to try, than the mall of America? They'd pop up on an empty maintenance hall near one of the corner stores, making it easy to slip through the doors back into the mall proper without anyone noticing.
