She had to keep herself sharp. She had to make Metallia proud…and Haumea. She had to make Haumea proud. So, here was Sapphirine, stalking down a senshi that she felt nearby. She wasn’t quite sure what she was going to do when she found the senshi…but she was hunting him. Perhaps she would just shake them up a bit, or perhaps she would try to bring whoever it was into the Negaverse…or just bring them to Haumea. That would work too.

When the senshi came into sight, she grinned, looking him over. He had the hair of a corrupt, so that wouldn’t be difficult to deal with if she managed to bring him over…but…

Well. Now that she had him, she was a little at a loss of what to do. “Hey senshi. What’s up.” She was tough. She was big. She was ferocious.
“You’re all alone, hm? You’re on the wrong side of all of this, I do hope you realize that. I’m here to help you see the light…or, rather…the darkness.”

Alya was at least vaguely aware of some force of Chaos intruding on his radar; he hadn’t been seeking it out but somehow it seemed like it was catching up. H should have paid more attention because suddenly the radar was a thought in the back of his head—and then it was so close that he could hear her.

He paused and turned, looking over the girl quickly.

“Oh, hello,” he greeted, “I see just fine, thank you.” Relatively speaking, of course. “But, my goodness if you don’t make dark look so good.”

He didn’t seem particularly intimidated, but—then—maybe he just didn’t know that he needed to be.

“What was it you wanted to show me, though?”

Sapphirine opened her mouth to say something—something snarky most likely though paused as his words registered. “You think so? I mean, I know I always look good but, I never was really sold on this outfit but…” She paused, scowling slightly. “Are you just flattering me so I get distracted?” Because it totally worked.

She flipped her hair back and crossed her arms. “What I wanted to show you is that you’re on the wrong side, now…you should just make this easy and I can call someone right now and bring you over to our side if you’re interested. Or I could just beat you senseless and call him anyway and drag you to our side. Your pick, blondie.”

There, she may have been distracted for a moment, but she was back on her game now, a grin on her face.

Alya’s lips pursed into a pout and his brows narrowed unhappily. “Oh. Well that’s not a very charming offer. Listen, I’m sorry, but that’s really not going to work into my plans. I’ve got a shoot in the morning and if I don’t show up my whole career’s going to take a blow—so I’m going to have to pass. I really don’t want to fight, so I’d seriously like you to reconsider. Otherwise…”

Fighting might not have been his expertise but he was nimble and liked to think that the dance classes he’d taken at least gave him a slightly better chance to make it out of here in one piece. And, hopefully, not busted up too badly. Makeup could only do so much, after all.

He drew himself taller as if trying to force Sapphrine to reconsider attacking him. “…I will defend myself. And you’re too pretty for me to want to hurt, so why don’t you just turn around and head out before I don’t have any option.”

“Well, think of it this way.” Sapphirine took a step closer, letting the arms that were crossed in front of her fall to her sides…the better to cast her magic. “You most likely won’t even know you missed it, and you can have a whole new career, here with the Negaverse. And besides, with your complexion, you’ll look much nicer in black. I’m sure of it.”

She had the whole plan formed now, she would attack him, knock him out…call for Haumea and Haumea would bring whoever was needed to corrupt him. Then he would be so happy with her he’d take her out for dinner and perhaps they’d go and make out in her room.

Not that she would admit to wanting to make out with him, but still.
“So, last chance. You coming nicely, or do I have to get violent?”

Alya blinked and though he decently concealed his emotions, he had bristled when she started walking towards him.

He tried to keep a thin, vague smile on his face. He liked to think it must have been somewhat convincing since people paid him to smile for the camera.

“Darling, I look good in anything. But, I suppose I do have one last thing to say, before you get violent.”

He raised his hand and pointed at her before announcing, “Touch of Apathy!”

Orangeish Sherbert
Alya can target one enemy within a five foot radius; he will point his finger and a stream of red light will flicker over the target for only a second. For the next twenty five seconds, the target is overcome with apathy; they seem to have little interest, next to no enthusiasm, or very little concern for anything. This makes it difficult to want to fight, or to continue doing whatever the target had previously been involved in until the magic wears off. The magic's effectiveness is somewhat diminished by extreme willpower.

Sapphirine smirked and snorted at his remark. “I’m sure you look good in everything, what is it you have to say?”

And then he attacked her. Used magic on her and she paused, her smirk fading and a confused sort of emptiness taking place of the overwhelming confidence. “What an interesting choice of words…” Her voice sounded bored and she shrugged. “And...what are you the senshi of, hm? Is this just your magic?”

Or did she really just not care? How quickly the flames of passion died within her. How quickly she just didn’t care at all. What would Haumea say when he found out that she didn’t care about the Lady anymore?

“Whatever senshi. I don’t really care about you anymore.”

“Good,” Alya breathed, relieved. “That’s the first time I’ve ever been happy to hear that.”

He didn’t know how long his magic would last, but he knew that a smart man wouldn’t hang around. He scooped his braid up in his arms and turned away from Sapphrine. He sucked in a breath and then ran, as fast as he could, past her.

She wasn’t the scariest of opponents he’d faced, but if he could get away without a scrape or bruise, he’d be happy.

But he really needed to be more careful; he either needed to actually learn how to fight, or to make sure he only went out with Elvira.

Or that he finished the project he was working on.
