The Cosmos Knight could have chosen any number of ways to communicate with the Chronos Squire. He could have left a note taped to the mirror in his bathroom. He could have slid a similar note beneath the door to his room. He could have sent him a text, or an email or anything.... Instead he decided to carefully pen a letter in script that he hoped looked neater than he knew it was and seal it with his signet ring to transmit the message in a way he figured they could both use some practice in. Destiny City Park. 9pm. Tuesday. Meet me there? He wasn't even sure that the message sent properly but instead of asking he'd gone about the rest of his day as if nothing else were amiss, arranging his schedule accordingly to make time to be at the designated place on the designated day at just the right time. What better way to spend time getting to know a fellow knight than with a trip to the park?

Receiving messages from a signet ring was weird and startling, at best. Midgard still lacked his own and had no proper way of returning the message unless he invaded Arin's private space, but, considering he hadn't seen hide nor hair of the man after receiving the message he hadn't the opportunity to communicate that, sure, he'd be there.
It was probably a good thing that the cosmos knight had requested a meet up, for whatever mystery reasons, because Midgard had reverted to spending more and more time alone again. His hermit behavior was bound to get him in trouble as he ignored most messages that came to the phone Fiona had provided him with. Almost every night, he slipped out of the house without a word and didn't come back until the early morning, looking like he hadn't slept and he'd spent the whole night running.
Which, at least, was true.
So, with his apparently avoidant nature in mind, Midgard forced himself to head towards the park at least thirty minutes before the set meeting time. He arrived seven minutes early and found himself an empty swing set to sit at and occupy his time as he waited.

He arrived at the park not long after the Chronos squire settled in at the swings, following the feel of an Order aura towards the other man. It was good to know that the ring's message had made its way through-- that he'd somehow managed to figure out how to send one properly despite having only had his own ring for such a short period of time. The Cosmos knight was all smiles as he stepped up onto the patch of wood chips surrounding the swings, listening to the way they shifted and crunched beneath his boots. "Evening, friend. Hope the night has found you well."

Feet rocked him back and forth on the swing he occupied. He didn't push off or properly swing but his gloved fingers wrapped around the metal chains that connected his seat to the bar overhead anyway. Beneath him, there was a groove made in the wood chips that exposed the plastic underneath. Likely it had been created by other park-goers but the idle push and pull of his boots hadn't helped either.
Midgard felt him before he saw or even heard Mag Mel.
He didn't look up right away, dark brows furrowed as if he was concentrating too hard on something in front of him. His shoulders held a lot of tension and he had to force himself to keep from hunching too much when he was addressed.
"The evening finds me as it always does." Worried, panicked, struggling. But he didn't say that. Instead, he put it off like things were fine.
"You?"

"Better than I've been in a long time, oddly enough." He could tell by how stiffly the other man was holding himself that the same couldn't be said for the Squire of Chronos. He wondered, briefly, if brooding tension was something that all Chronos knights had in common-- it could be said of the two he knew, but... Not everyone is the same, Mag Mell. "Up for working off a bit of that tension?" When he realized how much like a proposition that might have come off as, especially with the way he was grinning, he quickly tacked on a few more words. "I meant with a spar. Exercise. Racing around to distract the mind-- Or talking. Talking is good if you'd rather."

Inwardly, Midgard thought; At least that makes one of us. Outwardly, he offered a tired smile and a nod. "Better days are ahead of us," he mused, even though he wasn't certain he believed what he was saying.
Slowly he stood, the chains creaking from the movement until he was solidly planted on two feet and the swing wobbled behind him.
Mag Mel might have worried about how his words came across, but they barely registered to the squire who opted to nod. "Sure, anything's fine." His tongue ran along his teeth before he looked up. "Except talking. I would rather not."
He was struggling to adjust as was, he didn't need to dig up all of the baggage he was trying to bury.skye starrfyre definitely didn't realize it was my turn, apologies for the wait~
