(Where learning can be fun too!) Although we pride ourselves on our informative seminars here at Destiny's Star Hospital, we realize that not all of our visitors may be interested in such education. So instead, we have set aside a small room for our youngest generation - child care is provided by the most competent of authorized guardians, so please feel free to leave your children with us as you explore the various options our Health Awareness Fair has to offer!
Here at our Craft Table, we have a variety of coloring books for our new friends to express their artistic abilities in, as well as blank and colored construction paper for those who prefer to doodle on their own accord.
~
((OOC: We didn't forget about the kiddies & kitties! Here you can RP out having your younger civilian (or not-so-younger, we don't care!) coming in to our Craft Room and coloring in one of the provided pages listed above. Feel free to interact with each other or simply write a solo, if that's your thing - you have until Friday night at 10pm CST to wrap up your posts. Please include your "artwork" if you'd like - those who do will receive a special award at the end! If you wish to draw your own "healthy" related image, feel free - there are no limitations but the extent of your own creativity!
If you would like to have interaction with Amelia, please quote Tsunake and she will happily chatter along with your character.
Remember, every 500 words you submit qualifies you for a ticket into the Immunization Raffle!))

"Hey guys! My name is Amelia Hadly. Daddy said my job is to make sure everyone feels welcomed to the kids area, so he put me in charge!!"
The small, clearly excited child is quick to take your hand and lead you over to the large conference room table that is littered with open coloring books, markers and other various crafting material typically found in a kindergarten class or preschool. The little girl points to a few open seats, gesturing for you to take one.
"Here! Color one of these! Daddy says that once we get enough, he's gonna frame them and put them in the lobby for EVERYONE to see when they come in. Isn't that cool???"
A handful of loose coloring pages have been shoved in your direction, as well as blank paper for those who preferred to create their own cheesy, health-related picture.
Guess she wants you to.... color?

Clementine had protested when she'd been consigned to the crafts table - she was thirteen and a half, she was BASICALLY an adult, she was almost in high school!! - but her parents had been unswayed by her protests, and she'd been told to not make a fuss or a mess or anything that would end up with anyone at all screaming and crying for any reason at all. Hmph. Losers. She could have started a full-blown preschooler revolution if they hadn't made sure to be so specific. Build a barricade out of IV stands - not that she'd seen any in the room, but that clearly meant they were just hiding - seize the means of production - general rebellion stuff, right? Right. Easy as pie. But instead there was just markers and coloring pages and crayons and she had a job to do. Clementine scribbled furiously for a solid five minutes, throwing markers she didn't need to the side of the table, and pulled a bottle of glitter glue out of her purse for a final finishing touch. God, it was hard to be so perfect. She gazed at her masterpiece for a solid 30 seconds, pushed it to the side, and started on another coloring page like she was a dragon and the markers were her hoard.

Padding down the halls of the newly-opened Destiny's Star Hospital, Pyewacket took in his surroundings, a pleased expression on his kitty face. He kept close to the walls to avoid getting stepped on -- for some reason, a good-sized blue-grey cat with pince-nez, a pierced ear and a pentagram around its neck didn't seem to attract a lot of attention in this town -- and sniffed the air, examining all the different and interesting scents. And there were a lot of different and interesting scents. Some were from the hospital itself, and some were from the people wandering around during the open house event. It had been some time since the Mauvian had been able to patrol. His "day job" as the shop cat at the Bell Book and Candle occult bookstore had been keeping him pretty busy, and while he could have gone out at night, he had been preoccupied with magickal formulae and monitoring the movements of the planets in his secret workspace out back. It was a good life, he had to admit, but it put a bit of a damper on activities like hunting for senshi to awaken and other duties. Eventually Pyewacket came to a room full of children. It was nice that the hospital had something planned for the young ones. There were other cats in here for some reason, he sniffed; maybe they were Mauvians too! He sauntered into the room and leapt up on top of a cabinet to watch the kids do whatever they were doing, which seemed to be coloring posters. This was a good place to observe what was going on. Wendell
Fritz was nowhere to be seen, which was probably a dangerous thing, all things considered. Wendell was prowling down the hallway, peering into each room with a certain amount of bright eyed curiosity, looking for either his wayward owner or possibly his missing ship or maybe buried treasure, it was hard to be entirely positive.
It was probably a mixture of both.
The door to the children's room was open wide, and Wendell waltzed in, looking perfectly at ease, tail flicking behind him as he leapt nimbly onto a low chair. He sat on it for a while, just watching, unnoticed at present by the children who were all very preoccupied by the coloring, and sniffed around, Wendell climbing up onto the nearest table from the chair.
From the table, he went to another table. Then a desk. Then a bookshelf, and then a higher bookshelf. Then an even higher shelf.
Then he was stuck.
Sort of. He could go back the way he'd come, or he could just stay where he was, high up on on the bookshelf, staring down at all of the people and the cats below him. There were other cats, which was exciting, even if Wendell didn't recognize any of them.
But there were cats.
Wendell lowered himself down to his stomach, tucked his paws beneath him, and flopped over.

Clementine had gazed at her previous masterpiece, and she had deemed it unworthy; she had gone back to becoming a one-girl storm of activity, attempting to layer markers and crayons and anything she could get her hands on with furious determination. Colors were considered, discarded, and thrown aside again for all the care she wanted; one of them hit a nearby cat in the head and she didn't even notice. (Cornflower Blue, half-gnawed on; the inevitable eaten crayon in every pack. Would have been nice, if not for the fact half of it was gone to some odd child? Rat? Some odd something. She hated things that bit, that gnawed, that chewed; mosquitos, ants, anything remotely bitey. They all sucked and she hated them all, but this was a NICE CLEAN HOSPITAL without BUGS, right. RIGHT. She gave a full-body shiver, accidentally threw another crayon at Tiberius - this time it was Periwinkle - and went back to scribbling.)
Flowers, right; they'd be buttercup-daisies, because she knew what daisies looked like but she'd gotten intimately familiar with the coloring of buttercups from her nightly Lepus-partnered excursions. (Not rabbits. She wanted to see rabbits outside of the pet store. Rabbit one, rabbit two; they were all snuffly, weren't they? So soft, too. But her parents said she wasn't responsible enough, and at most she could have a mouse or a hamster, maybe; and those weren't animal sidekicks suited to a Defender of Justice. Maybe a Really Cool Dog to match Etoile. That'd be nice.) Robot arm, pink hair, a really sweet thumbs up: now this was a guy that knew Drugs Didn't Pay. Well. Drugs cost money, not gave money, but WHATEVER it was all the same anyways.

Alise had taken personal offense at being dumped- er, dropped off at the kids' play area by her grandmother, given that she was nearly thirteen- which was practically adulthood in the young girl's eyes. It was true she wasn't really interested in the Health Fair as a whole, but that didn't mean she wanted to be stuck with a bunch of little kids! Nothing against them, of course, but Alise was trying desperately to be seen as, well, not a child, and being sent to go color coloring book pages or whatever wasn't really very... it wasn't... a teenager-ish thing. Grownup-ish.
... Whatever.
If it was any small consolation, though, it had been that Alise had smuggled Etoile with her, hidden within her bunny backpack, because the preteen was certain she'd go crazy without the little cat to accompany her. Of course, that had been before Etoile had started complaining about being hungry, and now Alise just hoped that the little cat would keep her voice down before someone heard.
"Let me outtt," Etoile whined, from within the backpack; she couldn't see them, but she detected the presence of other Mauvians in the room. --
Following behind Alise was Kalani, who had also been dropped off by Alise's grandmother, as the two girls had been hanging out earlier. The purple-haired girl was equally as disinterested in being stuck in a room full of little kids coloring coloring books, but at the same time, she was a lazy person, and this certainly beat walking around pretending to be interested in whatever educational panels or whatever there were going to be. As long as she didn't have to do any hard work, Kalani didn't really care.
Alise hadn't told her about Etoile, but Kalani wasn't dumb; she was close enough to hear the noises coming from the other girl's backpack, and as she entered the craft room, the dark-haired girl moved closer to her friend.
"Your bag is meowing," she pointed out, quirking an eyebrow.

LuciaLucia's mother, being a doctor, had been interested in the various events going on at Destiny Star. Lucia had begged her mother to take her with her, she wanted to explore the hospital and she might even learn something that could help her with the war. As such she had been highly disappointed when her left at the crafts area. She had tried to argue her case but her mother just smiled and promised her it would be all boring grown up stuff. She couldn't exactly say she needed to learn first aid so that she could be more useful when she was participating in magical battles.
So here she was in a room of cats and other kids. Though alot of the other kids were big kids, she didn't talk much to big kids at school they were on different schedules after all. Also she noticed that the cats weren't necessarily cats, they had the star mark that mr Hania had, she wondered if they too were mauvians. She wished she could talk to them and find out, but that would mean either revealing her secret or looking crazy.
She felt a little shy around the big kids so she just took a seat grabbing a bunch of crayons and one of the pictures. She got to work. Sticking out her tongue out of the corner of her mouth in concentration. She did her best to stay in the lines though it was kinda hard. She didn't know much about drugs other than you weren't supposed to take them unless your mommy or daddy or doctor gave them to you. When she finished she looked at it a bit proud of her work. word count:250 Quote: Lucia is open for interactions

Cassie Finlay
She still felt kinda queasy after the plasma donation, so when she found the kid's craft room, she didn't really think twice about popping in for a short spell. She didn't find kids to be a source of stress--usually--and a fun place to sit down struck her as the best place to be at the moment.
There were already a few kids in the room, as expected, and she gave a small smile and wave as she searched for an open seat at the conference table. How long had it been since she colored with crayons?
A glint of metal caught her eye, and Cassie blinked, looking up at the top of one of the cabinets. She figured she'd spot like, a security camera. But to instead find a familiar looking blue-grey feline, her eyes went wide and a smile lifted her lips. "Pyewacket?" Her non-drawn hand lifted up towards the guardian, delighted to find him here of all places. She kept her voice low however, unsure if anyone would be responding well to a grown woman talking to a cat. But it'd been a while since she'd seen the guardian who had awakened her, and she was more than a tad relieved to see he was well.
A bump at her leg made her blink, and she glanced down to see a somewhat tall, lilac feline rubbing against her leg before moving off to a few other children. Something about the Savannah made Cassie frown, but shrugged, looking back to Pyewacket instead. "You look well." That's a sane thing to say to a cat right?
--- Réalta
How she managed to get in, she still wasn't entirely sure. It was sort of silly for a guardian to slip in while the humans milled around, but no one seemed to really notice her. Oh maybe a few did now and then, as she slunk along the walls and she was sure some heads turned towards the sound of her chiming necklace, or even at her own movements catching their attention. But no one threw her out of the hospital.
Her nose twitched, taking in the sterile and medicine scents, wrinkling at how those smells were not going to be leaving her nose any time soon. But humans came here to get better, right? So a useful place to know her way around, in case any of hers ever got injured.
Now for how easily she got in, Réalta wasn't entirely surprised to catch the scent of other guardians. She followed those scents quickly, ears perked forward and head lifted as she padded almost silently--save her necklace and earring--in the direction of the apparent source. And indeed it was. She stared a bit wide-eyed at the collection of children and guardians, though she did notice a girl a bit older than the rest. A little itch formed in Réalta's head, a strange little spark, and she found herself wandering over to the young woman, winding herself around her legs before moving on. There were a few guardians around though, weren't there?
There was one up on a cabinet (Pye), and one on another bookshelf (Wendell), and the latter got a rather perplexed look from the Savannah as she stared at his crow's nest of a position. Not bad for safety reasons, but she couldn't be sure if he was trying to stay away from potentially grabbing hands.
She'd spotted Alise, purring a bit as she moved over to wind around her legs silently, though she reached up with a paw to bat at the talking bag she wore. Though she offered no verbal greeting, unsure if such a thing was safe, she was happy to see Lepus again, and outside of patrol at that. She did offer a little "Mrowl," of greeting to the girl she'd not yet met (Kalani), though, tail flicking curiously. Réalta was not one to linger for long however, and moved towards a dark haired girl that seemed a bit younger than the others (Lucia), hopping up into a chair beside her and peering curiously at the drawing she was working on, looking now and then expectantly at Alise to join.

Muffled whining came from the backpack when Réalta batted at it, Etoile not appreciating the poking and pawing and overall being jostled about within the bag. Normally, Alise would have scolded her, or at least have given her candy to quiet the little cat, but Kalani. When the Savannah cat wound around her legs, Alise looked down at Réalta, her gaze following the silver cat as she made her way into the room. "Hey, Réalta, long time no see," she greeted, not particularly worried about being seen as strange for talking to a cat, given she was already well known as a weirdo at school. Besides, the Savannah was the one who had upgraded her henshin pen for her, and it would be rude not to greet her. Admittedly, with so many other children in the room, Alise didn't necessarily expect a response, but, maybe, they could find a quiet corner to converse, away from potential eavesdroppers. As Réalta proceeded to take a seat at the table, Alise glanced over at Kalani, who took up residence in one of the empty chairs, grabbing some construction paper and scissors, before glancing back over at the silver cat. It seemed that Réalta wanted her to join her at her spot at the table, and so the preteen headed on over, taking a seat next to the Savannah. "I brought Etoi with me," Alise whispered to the cat, referring to the muffled meowing coming from her backpack still.

Lucia looked up as she saw a lilac cat settle down in the seat next to her. She stopped her coloring to pet the guardian. "Hi miss guardian. What's your name?" She said in a whisper quiet enough that only the Savannah would be able to hear her. "Would you like a snack?"She offered as she reached for her sparkling pink backpack where she had several snacks her mother had prepared for her.
Then an older girl Sat down near her too and began talking to the guardian cat, did she know about guardians too? Was she a senshi? She hadn't said anything to Lucia but Lucia did speak up. "Um hi, I'm Lucia." She said introducing herself both the girl and to the cat.
"You probably shouldn't speak so loudly to a guardian, someone might hear." She whispered, she didn't want the guardian's secret to get out or the older girl to seem crazy to those who weren't informed. Knowing about the magical world could make you seem crazy at times.

Alise was about to tell Lucia that she wasn't too terribly concerned with people seeing her talk to a cat, given that she was pretty certain that there were still classmates from her kindergarten days that remained convinced that she could place some sort of curse or hex on them, but... Upon hearing the word 'snack', Etoile, who had been voicing her muffled whining about being stuck in Alise's backpack, managed to get the backpack open, poking her head out and staring eagerly at the younger girl. The kitten tended to let her stomach rule her decision making process, and right now, it was telling her that someone had treats for her. And she just happened to be very, very hungry. (Even though she ate earlier.)

PyewacketA random crayon flew up and struck Pyewacket on the head, startling him and nearly causing him to lose his balance and fall from his perch. "Wha-" he almost blurted, then remembered where he was: a public conference room. There might be some people here, especially children, who weren't accustomed to talking cats; in fact, he was sure of it. Another crayon rocketed for him, striking him on the flank. Who was flinging crayons at him? That wasn't a very nice thing to do! As he eyed the children coloring at the table for potential culprits, he heard his name called softly. His ear twitched, and he whipped his head around until his eyes landed on a familiar face. "Cassie?" he whispered. How long had it been since he'd seen the first person he'd awakened as a Senshi? The long-haired cat leapt down from the cabinet and trotted over to her, the bell on his collar jingling as he wove his way between chair legs and dodged around children's kicking feet. "Cassie!" Pyewacket murmured into a purr as he twined around her legs happily. Standing on his hind legs, he placed his front paws on her knees and looked up at her. It was all he could do not to knead his paws. "I've missed you! How have you been?" The Mauvian spoke softly, so only she could hear him. He hoped. Daekie ahahahah flying crayons XD

Derrick sighed as he held the hand of his eight-year-old little brother, Caden, wandering around this new hospital thing. He hadn’t really been interested himself and had planned on spending the week relaxing at his apartment, however his father had called to tell him that there had been a long-distance family emergency and he needed him to look after his little brother. Although Derrick sighed mentally in his head, he knew he couldn’t decline his father’s request and so now he was stuck taking care of his little brother. Unfortunately, there really wasn’t much that he could do with him that would be interesting, or affordable, for the both of them. However, then this Hospital celebration popped up and it had said that kids were welcome so… he had decided to go with Caden. However, it seemed that Caden had been less interested than Derrick thought he would have been and had practically been whining the whole time as to why they couldn’t go to some place like Chuckee Cheese or something. Derrick would make sure it got a Molotov Cocktail sometime later. Eventually though they found their way over to the coloring tables. “So… you sure you don’t want to color something Caden? Looks pretty fun?” Okay, even he couldn’t convince himself of what he was saying. He knew that his little brother would have no interest whatsoever. “NO! Coloring is for babies!” Derrick was pretty sure they had some coloring assignments in first grade still. “I want to go get pizza! It’s SOOOOOOO boring here!” Derrick had to admit in his head that it wasn’t much of a ‘craft’ table either, especially considering that the only thing that kids could do was color or do some stuff with some paper. At least someone could be teaching them some origami or something. Well… if they were going to make the craft table that boring, Derrick could liven it up a bit, right? “All right Caden, let me show you how to make something fun.” His brother stopped his tantrum and nodded his head, though he still had quite the glare on him. Taking one of the pieces of regular, blank paper, Derrick started to fold and showed where Caden could do it too, with his little brother following suit, Derrick helping him along the way. Soon enough, there were quite a few different types of paper planes on the table. Grabbing a few of them, he led his brother over to an empty space near the table. “All right, I believe we did these correctly, so if we toss them, they should glide for a bit.” He said before showing how to gently toss it so that it glided for a bit. Caden carefully watched his brother and tried to imitate him, being careful about how much power he put into his throw. When it worked, Caden practically squealed in excitement before launching all of the others. Derrick smiled a bit, glad that he was able to finally make his brother a bit happy. However, he noticed that he was getting a few glares from those around him. “Uh Caden, how about we take some of these with us to use in my apartment or at the park?” He said before grabbing a few and ushering his brother away before they could be yelled at. Amelia is hard at work applying ribbons to the finished art. Her Daddy had given her a job and by golly, she was going to do it.
Approaching Clementine, she gave the girl the pretty yellow ribbon and the pretty blue ribbon, feeling it went well with the other little girl's colorings.
Following up, Lucia came next and received the pretty purple one, since it matched the girl's purple flowers...
